That’s an understatement. Chris Brown gets up close and reeeeeeeeeallly personal in a new magazine feature. In an interview with XXL Magazine Chris Brown addresses his critics and admits he still has some things to learn: “In the beginning, I used to be hot. I’m normal. I’m human, so if anybody says something that’s a lie, I’m numb to it. I’ve smartened up.” Clearly this interview was done before the whole deleting Twitter incident went down… On Beef With Drizzy And Meek : “A lot of people wanna know about the whole situation with me, Drake and Meek Mill. At the end of the day, I’m me, they’re them. They rap, I sing. Totally different caliber. I rap, I play around on mixtapes. But our words don’t collide as much as you’d think.” Forget about words. We’re talking about bottles. On Twitter : “I haven’t been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it’s showing my progression. I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it’s cool then it’s, ‘What’s up?’ But if it’s anything that’s too negative, I don’t care to respond.” Again, this had to be a pre-Jenny Johnson answer. On Love : “One thing people often want me to talk about is my public love life. When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that’s not true. Love is something I am still learning. It’s just an obstacle that I haven’t yet mastered. I think that’s my biggest hurdle in life.” We can’t say for sure if it’s his biggest hurdle, but clearly Breezy has some work to do in the love department. Right now we’d say keeping Rihanna happy is probably his biggest hurdle in life.

When MTV News sat down with Rihanna recently to discuss her acting debut in “Battleship,” we asked if her work in music videos helped prepare her for her role in the film. “Training ground? Maybe not, it wasn’t exactly that,” Rihanna said. “For me, acting was a whole different world. We make mini-movies with music videos, but there’s always a song track that’s playing, you don’t have to speak, so [with acting] you have to tell that emotion with the tone of your voice, and I have an accent, so I had to change it to a bit of an American accent for this movie, so that was different,” she explained. So might we see more of Rihanna’s acting skills in future films? We asked the “Where Have U Been” singer if having her first film under her belt has given her the confidence to go out and conquer more movie roles. “It will always be brand-new, because it’s a whole different project every time, it’s a whole new person,” she said. “There’s nothing you can have under your belt with acting, not in my opinion, because I’m not a natural. This isn’t my first [career choice], so I don’t know. I used to not believe the old saying that “money makes you look better.” But lately I’ve been reflecting back on what some of our favorite celebs used to look like opposed to what they look like now and I’m starting to really agree with that phrase. When you look at old celebs like Jamie Foxx back when he had the juicy curl and the country gap, Ne-yo with the alfalfa part in his zesty high school Glamour shot pictures and lil John where I honestly can’t decipher if he looks better then or now. Other celebs that seemed to had looked after before they “got back to the money” are Drake, Kanye West, Lebron James, Ice Cube and many many more. One thing is for certain, these celebs upgraded like all hell when they got a little money though. It seems as though however, with all the expensive clothing, bling-bling, personal trainers, veneer, spa treatments and whatever else it takes to make these stars look like they do now they have made somewhat of a come-up in the looks department. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that money isn’t the only answer to these celebrity come-ups though, they do say age does the body good so that could also be the reason. I’m not hating nor complaining though, I’d probably look like a million bucks too if I had it!
