First, she gets funky on the sensual song “Make Me Feel.”   Then finally, she drops bars that would have Migos taking notice on “Django Jane.” Ms. Monáe is definitely repping for Atlanta and her original self. Check out the last gem from her double release below and be sure to stay tuned for her “Emotion Picture” album Dirty   Computer on April 27!

A surprising video making the online rounds shows QVC host Cassie Lane grabbing her chest and almost fainting during a live presentation on TV. QVC Host Fainting on Live TV The incident was uploaded to YouTube. As Lane passes out in mid-sentence, the camera immediately cuts away while her co-host does not miss a beat. Cassie Lane received medical attention and was said to be okay. She Tweeted later, “Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. feeling better today!”

Spears dressed up as Cleopatra , Jean Harlow and a dark dominatrix for the ad: Fantasy Twist is the latest scent in the singer’s multi-million-dollar fragrance line. It’s no joke. Britney was No. 2 on list of Forbes’ Highest-Paid Women last year. Oprah Winfrey and then Britney Spears . The woman sells records and perfume.

Not a lot else to do there, right? The rapper is currently seeking treatment for something, and while the medical details are scarce, there’s no shortage of amusing photographs. Check out this one. Donna Summer Dead at 63

Donna Summer died this morning after a battle with cancer. She was 63. The singer was in Florida at the time of her death , according to reports. Known as the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer was said to be trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. Just a few weeks ago, people close to her say she was focused on trying to finish up an album she had been working on. Summer was a five-time Grammy winner who rose to fame with hits – “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls” – that were synonymous with the 1970s. Donna and her producer Giorgio Moroder defined the dance music era of the ’70s, influencing acts like Duran Duran, David Bowie and many others. Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano in 1980. The couple had two daughters together. R.I.P. to one of the greats. Donna Summer – Last Dance

John Legend Bashes Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as Non-Singers

They won’t be competing against each other, but it’s nevertheless on between Duets and The X Factor . On the ABC Upfront party red carpet this week, John Legend – one of the four singers who will be teaming up with amateurs across the country on the new singing competition – was asked about the new X Factor judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato , and replied: “You know it’s interesting. It should be very interesting. I don’t have much to say,” Legend told E! News. “It’s interesting when people, you know, are judging singing competitions when they aren’t really singers.” Ouch! Interesting is one diplomatic word for it, yes. Robin Thicke, who will also appear on Duets , gave the young ladies some credit at least: “Oh come on, everything Britney does, she excels at. Demi is a lovely young lady, and I’m sure they’ll do nothing but make the show a lot more fun to watch.” Which of these X Factor judges has you most excited?

Bobby Brown Releases Whitney Houston Tribute Song, World Slaps Collective Forehead

Bobby Brown took to The Tonight Show stage to debut a new song he wrote about life since Whitney Houston’s death … we wish we were kidding. The song, released online a week ago but little-noticed because Bobby Brown’s career has been on a 15-year tailspin, is a confession of sorts. Bobby admits he “messed up pretty bad” and begs his late ex-wife … “Don’t let me die.” That’s right, even after her death, it’s all about BB. Bobby Brown – Don’t Let Me Die The song also features the lyrics, “I didn’t realize that every breath I took was from you … You were my air.” That’s actually somewhat nice. Brown also sings. “I didn’t know who you were, didn’t know what we had. Now I’m stuck living in the past … trying to get the pieces back. But I guess now you’re gone.” Guess so. Brown, who’s been making the media rounds to reiterate that Whitney’s death is not his fault , performed the track live last night for the FIRST TIME EVER, will be releasing the sensual track on his new album in June, just months after she died. Hey, gotta strike while the iron is hot.
