Hayden Panettiere: Loved Ones Fear Star Is Drinking Herself to Death

Sad news out of Hollywood today, as sources close to Hayden Panettiere claim the actress has been endangering her health with heavy alcohol consumption in recent months. Panettiere split from fiance Wladimir Klitschko‎  earlier this year, and those who know the Nashville star best say she’s been struggling ever since. “Her family and friends are worried about her,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online . “Hayden’s been drinking too much and acting out.” Insiders say Panettiere’s pain stems largely from the fact that her three-year-old daughter, Kaya, currently resides in Ukraine with Klitschkso, more than 6,000 miles from Hayden’s home in LA. Concerned loved ones say Klitschko was a positive influence on Panettiere, and without him, she seems untethered: “Wladimir was a calming influence on her. Now that he’s not in the picture, she seems to be losing control,” the source added. According to Radar , Panettiere was recently spotted wandering around Malibu barefoot in a drunken stupor. At one point, the actress vomited over a railing, apparently in response to a midday drinking binge. “She was pouting like her character Juliet on Nashville ,” said one eyewitness. Another yelled that the actress sat on the sidewalk in a “sloppy” and implored her new boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, to remove her shoes for her. “Her boyfriend pulled them off for her,” said the onlooker. “He seemed to be annoyed with her because she was drunk and he was completely normal — as if he hadn’t been drinking at all.” “She yelled at him, ‘I don’t care!’ and then ran off,”  From there, Panettiere seemed to lose her way. “[She] didn’t know where she was going and then ran down to the beach,” said the witness. A different source says the incident took place after Panettiere was “cut off” at an LA restaurant after pounding several Long Island ice teas “before even ordering food.” “Everyone in Hayden’s inner circle is saying the same thing: She needs to get it together for the sake of her health,” says one insider. Family and friends are reportedly happy that Nashville has come to an end, as they feel a hiatus from work will allow Panettiere to focus on her health: “She’s been working for many years on that show,” Hayden’s mother, Lesley Vogel, tells Radar. “She needs to take a little bit of a break and make some decisions on her own of what she wants to do. So I think she is in a very good place.” Asked about her daughter’s future career prospects, Vogel replied, “I think she’s taking some time.” We wish Hayden all the best going forward. Matt Brown: Hiring a Sober Coach After Rehab

Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown was forced into rehab following a family intervention . After about 30 days of treatment, he reportedly feels like he has things under control and is ready to leave rehab. But his family has serious concerns that if he halts treatment now, he could relapse again. Matt Brown checked into rehab in September. it has now been about a month. And RadarOnline   reports that Matt is itching to leave treatment and return home, believing that he is now well enough to do so. An insider says that Billy and Ami are talking Matt into “hiring a sober coach to work with him on the outside. That way, Matt can continue to work on this “after he gets out of rehab.” “His family has been visiting him,” the source reports. “And,” the insider reveals. “He is doing great.” Doing well in rehab does not always translate to having made a full recovery and being ready to go out into the world. “But,” the source says. “Matt thinks that he is ready to leave after 30 days.” His family has some serious concerns that he might be jumping the gun a little. The Browns have their doubts, the insider shares, “and everyone is urging him to stay in.” “He says that he is almost ready,” the source reveals. “And can handle this on his own now.” His confidence is certainly encouraging, but sometimes staying with a program for a little longer can do a world of good. You can love and trust someone while also encouraging them to keep getting help. “While his father and mother are fully supportive of him,” the insider begins. The source continues: “they are really hoping that Matt stay focused on his sobriety when he is out of rehab.” “And,” the insider adds, Billy and Ami hope and pray “that he continues going to meetings.” The source also says that Mat’s parents would like for Matt to keep up with meetings “and seeing a therapist.” This is not Matt Brown’s first time in rehab. After his previous stint getting help with his alcohol consumption in 2016, Matt was very frank with fans. “I could see myself spiraling,” he told his fans and followers. “I was more withdrawn,” Matt continued. “I was slower.” He also shared that “Things did not excite me the way that they used to.” While a lot of that may sound like depression symptoms, remember that alcohol is an intensely addictive depressant. Matt also spoke to People about his decision to again go to rehab. “I struggle with substance abuse,” Matt said in a straightforward manner. “And after a year of ups and downs,” Matt continued. “I decided to return to treatment.” Reports say that it was during the worst moments of his mother’s cancer battle that Matt began drinking again. “I am really grateful for everyone’s support,” he shared. “And,” Matt concluded, he has “hope to have my life back on track soon.” As we reported earlier this month, Alaskan Bush People was renewed for Season 9 . Apparently part of this upcoming season will focus upon Matt’s struggles with alcohol addiction and his journey back to sobriety. It takes a lot of bravery to admit that you have a problem and to seek help with it. Good for Matt for not only doing so, but agreeing to share his story with fans and viewers. He may inspire others to transform their own lives. View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

Cory Booker Elected to U.S. Senate in Special Election

Cory Booker, the charismatic mayor of Newark, is now a member of the U.S. Senate from New Jersey after winning a special election on Wednesday. The Democrat, heavily favored in polls, defeated conservative Republican Steve Lonegan. Booker had an 11-point lead with the vote 90 percent counted. Booker, 44, spoke to supporters in Newark and thanked them for turning out to vote against the backdrop of the 16-day government shutdown . “You didn’t just vote, you believed that your vote and choice mattered,” he said. “It would have been easy to listen to this frustrating negativity and stay home.” “But here in New Jersey, more than a million people rejected cynicism and came out on a Wednesday, in the middle of October, to fight the cynicism.” Booker is the first black U.S. Senator from New Jersey and joins Republican Tim Scott of South Carolina as the nation’s only two black U.S. senators. He will fill the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Frank Lautenberg, who died in June at age 89. Booker had planned to run for this seat in 2014. Lautenberg’s passing prompted a special election, however, and Gov. Chris Christie, who is running for re-election now, set the October 16 date. Christie, like Booker a possible White House contender in 2016 or down the road, could have scheduled the Senate race for Election Day, November 5. Democrats said was avoiding being on the ballot with Booker, who could attract Democratic turnout. He said he wanted to fill the Senate vacancy ASAP. Booker, a Rhodes scholar and Yale Law School graduate, rocketed to fame in the state’s largest city, which has long struggled with poverty and crime. Booker is known to rub shoulders with celebrities and is a near-constant presence on Twitter, where he recently befriended stripper Lynsie Lee . Newark received a $100 million gift to its schools from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who said he had met Booker and was impressed by his plans. A bachelor, Booker has long been rumored as a future presidential candidate. Whether that happens or not, he’s one step closer to it being possible now.

The Jonas Brothers Delete Twitter Account: Is This the End?

Have The Jonas Brothers danced their final dance? Sang their final tune? Caused their final fan to shriek? A week after this group canceled its fall tour at the last minute, due to an admitted “rift within the band,” Joe, Kevin and Nick have deleted their shared Twitter account. It doesn’t get much more telling than that. Joe Jonas: Spotted with Sober Coach It remains unclear just what problems are plaguing the band, but Mike Bayer – the CEO and founder of Cast Recovery Services – was spotted last week alongside Joe Jonas. This sober coach is known for dealing with crisis-type situations, typically focusing on substance abuse. But he was actually seen yesterday with Kevin Jonas as well, fueling speculation that he’s simply helping all of the problems deal with whatever internal struggles are threatening to break the group up. According to The Jonas Brothers spokesman, via an interview with People last week, “there was a big disagreement over music direction” and that is the reason why Nick, Kevin and Joe have backed out of their tour. But just two days prior to it starting? The day after performing together in Minnesota? Something seems amiss. We just hope each sibling is doing okay and we’ll keep fans updated as news breaks.
