Wenjian Liu lived in Brooklyn’s Gravesend with his newly married wife, Pei Xia Chen of two months, having moved there five months before their wedding. The wife of slain New York police officer Wenjian Liu spoke publicly for the first time on Monday night. Addressing the media in front of her Brooklyn home, Pei Xia Chen thanked the NYPD and New York residents for their support as she spoke of her husband — a seven-year veteran of the police force who Chen had married just two months ago. “We w
Following his admission that he has shared a sexual experience with a man, R&B star Frank Ocean has received plenty of support from the music community. Both Russell Simmons and the rapper Trina have offered Ocean their best wishes. Now, Lil Scrappy has also gone on record and given Ocean props… but for a very different reason. “I’m glad that he came out,” Lil Scrappy told TMZ. “So all the real women that love to mess with real men, straight men, we can keep the AIDS situation down, you feel me?” This artist – who says he would work with Ocean against in an instant – also believes “[homosexuality] is a doorway to AIDS, scientifically.” Well… according to 2009 data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, man-on-man intercourse results in 61% of all new HIV infections. Yes, that’s a majority. But Lil Scrappy might be surprised by how small of a majority his scientific data actually spits out.

Outspoken N.J. Gov. Chris Christie got into a heated altercation with a heckler on a Jersey Shore boardwalk Thursday night, and it was all caught on tape. The popular but controversial Republican was hanging with his family in Seaside Heights when some guy made snide comments about education policy. Christie, 49, was far from pleased, walking toward the heckler and saying, “You’re a real big shot … you’re a real big shot shootin’ your mouth off.” If nothing else, it’s worth watching Christie in a short-sleeve shirt eating ice cream on the same boardwalk the Jersey Shore gang hangs out on …
Police in Prague, Czech Republic, arrested Randy Blythe June 28 and charged the Lamb of God frontman with manslaughter. As of Friday, he was still behind bars. The 41-year-old was involved in an incident with a fan at a 2010 concert in the city. After a fan jumped onto the stage from the crowd, Blythe is accused of pushing him back into the audience, inflicting head injuries from which he later died. In an email Friday, Lamb of God spoke publicly about the case for the first time. Lamb of God thanked fans for their support “of Randy and each of us in this terrible situation” and insisted that they “aren’t trying to keep anyone in the dark.” “We have been keeping our heads down and not speaking out due to the fluid nature of the situation and the constantly changing information,” they said. “Within an hour things can do endless 180’s. It’s maddening. In the two years [since], we were never notified of anything related to this incident.” “Randy is our brother and we assure you, we are all staying very positive, working endlessly behind the scenes to provide any and all assistance possible.” “The best we can do is to stay positive and continue to support our friend we know is innocent. We know justice will prevail and we will continue to do our part.” [Photo: WENN.com]
