Taylor Lautner has reached a $40,000 settlement with the RV company that he claimed stiffed him on a delivery of a trailer and caused him “emotional distress” and “annoyance.” Big-heartedly, Taylor is not using his sudden windfall to buy raw steaks and protein shakes, but will be donating it to the Lollipop Theater Network, a “non-profit organization dedicated to bringing movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals.” [ US ]

Writer of Happy Days Jump The Shark Episode Protests Too Much

When a television series suddenly takes a turn for the worse after previously being successful, it’s said to have jumped the shark — lovingly named after the episode of Happy Days when Fonzie jumped a shark in a water skiing competition. And now Fred Fox Jr., the writer of that episode, has penned an opinion piece in the Los Angeles Times that claims actually that episode wasn’t that bad.

Here, however, all I can really do is offer a solo womp-womp fanfare and a couple sympathy pats to Cory Edwards, the writer/director who is ticked off that the Weinstein Company would go behind his back to solicit a rewrite of Fraggle Rock.
