Music Vet Dame Grease Says Rasheed “ Ralo” Harrison Screwed Him Out Of Royalties The co-writer for DMX’ s hit “Stop Being Greedy” wants a man he believes stole his royalties to do just that. One of hip hop’ most prolific songwriter/producers – who helped to hone the Ruff Ryders’ sound – has sued a fellow music industry veteran for orchestrating a music royalty theft scam. Dame Grease has filed a $2 million lawsuit against Wonder Boy Publishing head Rasheed “Ralo” Harrison for tortious interference with contract, alleging he straight up stole Grease’s extensive publishing catalog from right under his and the record label’s nose. According to court papers obtained by BOSSIP, Grease said he inked a publishing deal with Sony 20 years ago where the company would oversee his catalog and he would retain 50 percent of his copyrights. But the writer said he believes Harrison forged his signature and illegally took over ownership of the catalog, and Grease said Sony hasn’t provided an accounting of his royalties for seven years. Sony/ATV Music Publishing and BMG Rights Management are also named as defendants for breach of contract, Grease’s amended complaint, which was filed Nov. 4, states. Grease is being represented by Lita Rosario, who also litigated Big Pun’s widow’s back royalty case against Fat Joe a few years back. “Actually, my first thought was to get on some street s**t,” Grease told BOSSIP about when he learned of the alleged fraud. “With selling 60 million records, I knew the residuals weren’t coming back. I was seeing royalty statements for a couple of hundred dollars.” The ghostwriter, who helped pen and produce classics from the late 1990s including Nore and Nas’ “Body In The Trunk,” The Lox’s “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa,” and most of DMX’s debut album, “It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot,” said he believes he’s not Harrison’s only alleged victim and wouldn’t be surprised if other big names sue him for compensation in the future. Grease, who is supporting two of his children in college, said he wants his catalog back, an accounting from Sony on how they allegedly dropped the ball and his back royalties plus punitive damages. We’ve reached out to Harrison’s lawyer, who said he was not involved in the case declined to comment.

Source: WSB-TV Screenshot A series of emails have been sent to NewsOne purportedly from friends and acquaintances of the motorist in Georgia who saw a hit and run car accident that ended with a driver being shot dead Tuesday evening. Hannah Payne , 21, reportedly saw the collision that police in Clayton County described as a minor fender bender before she followed Kenneth Herring , 62, for a mile, blocked his car with hers, approached him and killed him with her gun. That was after she called 911, which police said typically advise callers against approaching people they’re calling about. Payne is white and Herring is Black. Hannah Payne has been charged with murder for killing a Black man who she saw get in a hit and run car accident. When Kenneth Herring fled, she drove after him, blocked his car, called 911, got out of her car and ended up shooting him to death. https://t.co/aEh95kbNP8 — NewsOne (@newsone) May 10, 2019 Her arrest and subsequent charge of one count of murder without malice resulted in social media users, in particular, claiming the killing was racist in nature. Considering the egregious nature of the charges and the current racial climate in the U.S., tweets that suspected racism were all but obligatory. How do you follow someone for an hour, block their car, punch them, finally shooting and killing them, and be charged with “Murder without Malice “? #femalezimmerman Hannah Payne! — DeirdreIV (@IvDeirdre) May 10, 2019 #HannahPayne literally interjected herself into a situation that she was not involved in and took the laws into her own hands. #KennethHerring is dead because of a minor fender bender. Only black/ #ADoS people end up dead in situations like this https://t.co/5I5bg5OWi2 — Racist Of The Week (@RacistOTW) May 10, 2019 Not why did #HannahPayne follow Kenneth Herring for a mile with a gun Not why did Hannah Payne take the law into her own hands? Not why is #KennethHerring dead for a minor fender This is the question that he decided to ask? #FBA #ADoS #Tangibles2020 #B1 https://t.co/p5wSVHOPmy — P. Against The World (@chillin662) May 10, 2019 However, emails have been sent to this writer claiming that Payne was the farthest thing from racist and accusing NewsOne of falsely reporting that she was racist. (NewsOne never reported she was racist.) One email said that the mere suggestion Payne could be behind a racist shooting of a Black man was ludicrous in part because her Facebook page showed she had many Black friends. However, a search for Payne’s Facebook turned up empty and a request by NewsOne to interview the people who sent the emails was denied. Because of that, the emails sent to NewsOne have been paraphrased and not quoted. Another lengthier email said the comparisons NewsOne made between Payne and George Zimmerman were misguided. Zimmerman was the volunteer neighborhood watchman in Florida who followed and killed Trayvon Martin in 2012 even after a 911 operator told him not to approach the unarmed Black teen. He was eventually acquitted of murder under Florida’s controversial Stand Your Ground law. Georgia also has a Stand Your Ground law , though it was unclear if Payne planned to use that for her defense. The email went on to add that Payne has always been romantically attracted to Black males, using that as a primary reason why the shooting could not have possibly been racially motivated. Another email said Payne lived in a neighborhood where people of all races live together. It was unclear where Payne called home, but the latest Census data for Clayton County showed that more than 71 percent of its residents were listed as being Black. One email blamed Herring, a senior citizen who may or may not have even realized he had hit another car, for driving for a mile after the collision despite there being no reports that he sped away. If Herring did speed away, that would presumably mean that Payne had to drive faster (read: speed) than he was driving just to catch up with him before she used her car to block him in. Insurance companies have long advised drivers who witness a hit and run to document the license plate number of the offending driver and report it to authorities. For instance, State Farm said on its website that drivers involved in and witnesses of a hit and run should not “follow the fleeing driver. Leaving the scene of the accident could put you in a compromising position: You’ll miss getting eyewitness accounts — and police could question who’s really at fault.” The email also wondered why Herring would make such a decision to keep driving. The email insisted that had roles been reversed, Payne would have remained on the scene of her car accident. It went on to say that she carried her legally licensed gun to protect herself from people like Herring. The author of the email didn’t respond to questions about what exactly that meant. All of the emails shared one common refrain: trying to discredit the way that NewsOne has covered the shooting as potentially being motivated by race. That was even as most mainstream media outlets have seemingly ignored the story or moved on to other current events. Upon first glance, there was no apparent direct evidence to suggest the shooting was racially motivated. But the circumstantial evidence, bolstered by the tragic trend of white people not in law enforcement trying to police Black people , appeared to be quite strong. That was especially true when factoring in how the shooting took place in Georgia, a state that prides itself on its role in the Confederacy. In fact, the Georgia House voted in late March “to increase the penalties against those who damage the state’s public and private monuments — and make it more difficult to remove or relocate Confederate markers ,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported at the time. That was as other, more progressive states have moved to remove Confederate monuments. More recently, a mayor in a rural Georgia town rejected a Black man’s job application specifically because of his race. Clayton County is located just 15 miles south of Atlanta, the state’s capital city where Black residents have long thrived socially and economically. But racism has persisted across the state, in both rural and urban locations, much like the rest of the country. Considering those facts, it was nearly impossible to rule out race as a motivational factor for Payne’s lethal pursuit of Herring. Payne’s lawyer said his client was simply trying to do the right thing. “It just seems like an unfortunate situation of a good Samaritan trying to stop a person on a hit-and-run,” Matt Tucker said. A witness described Payne to WSB-TV as the aggressor who immediately claimed after Herring was shot that he was the one who pulled the trigger. Given what is known about the shooting, it may come across as curious why more media outlets were not covering it. Aside from a handful of initial news reports following the news of Payne’s arrest, little other information has been reported with few, if any, follow-up news articles. Even social media was relatively silent despite that egregious nature of the shooting that typically makes for rabid fodder on Twitter and Facebook. Regardless of what investigators discover, it was doubtful that Payne could be charged with a hate crime even if the shooting fit the criteria for it. That was because the Georgia House only recently passed a bill for what could become the state’s first hate crimes legislation. The bill must be approved by the state Senate before it can become law. As of Friday afternoon, Payne remained locked up in Clayton County Jail without bond. Ali Larter is about 60 years old….highlight of her career could be the Final Destination movies, but probably the whipped cream bikini in Varsity Blues which I remember being a big time…. She’s in mom fitness pants that are thick and sturdy and shape these old ladies, which may be hot to you, but you could get very similar results at the grocery store as ALL women, even fat women wear these pants in public….it’s like the THONG bikini bottom, all bitches rock em now, even grannies… The most interesting thing about Ali Larter, is actually an ultimate troll I don’t even remember but was pre internet… Basically, Esquire magazine ran a story on a character their writer created called Allegra Coleman in a 1996….they released staged paparazzi nudes, said she was in an upcoming Woody Allen movie, was dating David Schwimmer at the height of FRIENDS when people cared who he dated….. Only to have agents and managerrs and producers SCRAMBLING to sign her, sending scripts to her, because 1996 pre-internet was still a place where trolls could happen, just less frequently… So that is how she got her career…a joke, a troll, a social commentary….and it’s panned out alright for her….so never under estimate the power of the media…THEY CONTROL YOU MINDS…. T he news that an FBI investigation revealed dozens of wealthy white people paid big money to rig admissions procedures for their privileged kids to be accepted into top colleges rocked the entire country. One of the many stunts pulled by the accused, including actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin , was having their kids’ SAT answers changed. The aspect of the college admissions cheating scandal was quite ironic considering earlier this year a Black high school student was interrogated and shamed for improving her SAT score. See Also: Complete Timeline Of Jussie Smollett Investigation Let us remind you. Florida teen Kamilah Campbell was told her test scores were invalid after she improved her original score of 900. Campbell, alongside her lawyer, civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump , said she felt she was being accused of cheating by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), which oversees the SAT. “I did not cheat,” Campbell said defiantly during a press conference in Miami in January. “I studied, and I focused to achieve my dream. I worked so hard and did everything I could do.” Crump said in a statement, “ETS violated Kamilah’s constitutional right to be considered innocent until proven guilty and denied Kamilah due process.” “The family is demanding ETS release her test scores within the next two weeks so that colleges and scholarship committees can appropriately evaluate her applications,” the statement continued. “If not, Crump said the family will move forward with exploring every legal remedy available to give Kamilah the justice she deserves, including but not limited to pursuing litigation on the basis of a violation of her civil rights.” Campbell said an ETS employee told her that she scored 1230 on her second SAT testing, an improvement of better than 300 points. She got a tutor, “took online classes and she got a copy of a The Princeton Review prep book,” according to a CNN report . While neither Campbell nor Crump made any reference to race, it was impossible to ignore her being a Black woman, especially now with the current college admissions scandal. There is a long-lingering SAT achievement gap between Blacks and other races. “These gaps have a significant impact on life chances, and therefore on the transmission of inequality across generations,” according to research conducted by the Brookings Institution , a nonprofit public policy organization. Campbell was forced to retake the test and, of course, the College Board in Florida will not release her test scores. It is despicable that rich white people would use their privilege because they didn’t want their kids to work too hard. Then again, that has always been the American way. Source: Roy Rochlin/Getty Images / Getty “Love Is ____” Axed By Own Network Bad news for fans of the OWN Network breakout hit show “Love Is ___.” After only one season on the air, season 2 of the show has been dropped and will not see the light of day. While the show had many fans and sparked tons of hot online debate, the program became marled in scandal after the alleged mistress of show exec Salim Akil, who co-produced the show with his wife Mara Brock Akil, stepped forward to reveal that she had been sexually and physically abused at the hands of the writer/producer for the better part of the last 10 years. She also alleged that the show itself was a copyright infringement on her original scripts for an unproduced pilot. Akil has not denied having an extramarital relationship with the woman in question, however, his lawyer released a statement stating that the allegations are completely false and they plan to defend him to the fullest extent of the law. On top of that, Warner Brothers has launched an investigation into the Akils’ other show, ‘Black Lightening.” However, that particular program is safe at the moment. SMH. The show will be missed, but this is what happens when those old skeletons of abuse and misconduct fall out of Hollywood’s closets. Are you sad that “Love Is ____” got the chopping block??
