Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal: Headed to Law & Order SVU

If you’re a fan of the insanely long-running Law & Order franchise, you know that producers like to explore recent scandals in topical “ripped from the headlines” episodes. So we suppose it was only a matter of time before the Josh Duggar molestation scandal made its way into the writers’ room. In an episode set to air next month, the detectives of SVU will investigate the parents of a religiously conservative reality TV family – after their 13-year-old daughter winds up pregnant. While the show never goes easy on its “especially heinous” criminals, if comments made by series regular Peter Scanavino are any indication, the Duggars will be portrayed in a particularly harsh light: “With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact — I mean, honestly, I feel like we’re dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family,” Scanavino said in a recent interview. “I have never been so infuriated with someone’s level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else…When I think about that guy, it boils my blood, I will say.” Hopefully Josh’s rehab facility doesn’t have TV. Some pretty cruel pranks have been uploaded to YouTube over the years. We've cringed as people faked heart attacks . We've chuckled as “friends” tricked one another into drinking hot sauce . But the king of blurring the line between funny and f–ked up has gotta be YouTube comic and certifiably insane father of one, Roman Atwood. You may remember Roman from the time he convinced his girlfriend that he launched their toddler off a balcony . In his latest clip, he steps his game up by making her believe the kid was blown up in a horrific four-wheeler accident. Yes, it's hard to watch, but the girl stays with him, so we assume he's the ideal boyfriend and father in every other respect. What's a little psychological torture when the guy's willing to make dinner afterward?

Steve Sarkisian: USC Football Coach FIRED While in Rehab!

After announcing an unexpected leave of absence yesterday, USC football coach Steve Sarkisian has been fired by the university, apparently as a result of his ongoing struggles with alcohol abuse. “After careful consideration of what is in the best interest of the university and our student-athletes, I have made the decision to terminate Steve Sarkisian, effective immediately,” athletic director Pat Haden said in a statement released moments ago. “I want to thank Clay Helton for stepping into the interim head coach role, and I want to add how proud I am of our coaching staff and players and the way they are responding to this difficult situation. “Through all of this we remain concerned for Steve and hope that it will give him the opportunity to focus on his personal well being.” Sarkisian’s battle with the bottle has been well documented, with stories of the widely respected coach and former BYU quarterback showing up to practices and even games visibly intoxicated. Sources say Sarkisian’s recent divorce exacerbated his alcoholism, and he was reportedly forced to take his leave of absence and seek treatment after he showed up to a team meeting drunk on Sunday. Obviously, Sarkisian is one of many famous figures to struggle with alcoholism , but while celebrities are often able to come back from public battles with addiction, the sports world is often less forgiving. Here’s hoping the 41-year-old hasn’t permanently derailed his once promising career.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris: First Date Details Revealed!

Neither of them has confirmed it yet, but at this point, it’s a known fact that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are dating . And not just dating – these two are all coupled up. Paparazzi have spotted Taylor and Calvin shopping at Whole Foods in matching t-shirts, which is pretty much the Hollywood equivalent of an engagement ring. Since both halves of Caylor are keeping mum on the subject, little is known about how they actually started going out. Fortunately, we have tabloid speculation and unidentified “sources” to hold us over until Swifty tells the tale in song form. We already knew that Taylor and Calvin met at the BRIT Awards back in early March. Now, Us Weekly is reporting that things initially moved very slowly, and Taylor (in direct contradiction of her last name) made Calvin wait. The two apparently texted from afar for two weeks before Taylor went to see Calvin perform in Vegas. Rosie Perez Quits The View After Just 4 Months

The long-running ABC daytime panel show The View has undergone lots of staffing changes during its 18 seasons, but never has a host come and gone as quickly as Rosie Perez. Perez joined The View along with Nicolle Wallace back in September, and already the 50-year-old actress has called it quits. Her reason for exiting is not definitively known at this time. Perez signed on during a tumultuous time in the show’s history. Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy had just been fired , and she and Wallace were hired after a long search for replacements. There’s been speculation that Perez couldn’t handle the in-fighting among the cast (co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg have developed reputations for being difficult to work with), while others have suggested that she left in order to avoid the embarrassment of being fired. Either way, Perez’ departure is not a good sign for the show, which has been struggling with lower ratings for several seasons now. Over the summer, Rosie O’Donnell was re-hired as a co-host in hopes of re-capturing some of the show’s former magic, but competition from similarly themes series such as The Talk, and rumors of rude behavior from the cast have kept the show stagnant. There’s even been talk that this could be it for The View, as ABC is reportedly considering pulling the plug before the show’s 19th season. Perez had been on hiatus for a month in order to appear in a Broadway production at the time of her surprise announcement earlier today. Now the question remains: If the show returns, who should replace Perez? 11 Possible Replacements on The View 1. Sarah Palin Sarah Palin won’t dismiss the possibility. She has acknowledged that The View needs fresh blood.

Sharknado 3: Coming This Summer to D.C.!

Tara Reid had better sober up pretty quick, because Syfy has just announced that Sharknado 3 is officially a go, and will premiere on the network this July! The Sharknado survivors will return for the most epic shark attack yet, led by Reid and Ian Ziering, in the next chapter of the global pop culture sensation. Reprising their roles as Fin and April, respectively, Ziering and a hotter Tara Reid will star in the film directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and written by Thunder Levin. We can only hope Thunder is as stoned out of his mind as he must’ve been when he came up with the first two installments of this made for TV masterpiece. The first film in what has become an unlikely but undisputed cult classic franchise debuted in 2013 and became one of the most tweeted about events ever. When it aired last July 30, sequel Sharknado 2: The Second One became Syfy’s most-watched Original Movie of all time with 3.9 million total viewers. Co-starring Vivica A. Fox and Mark McGrath, the New York City-based follow-up featured a who’s who of random famous people in bit roles as well. Al Roker, Matt Lauer, Judd Hirsch, Richard Kind, Biz Markie, Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan, Julie Brown, Robert Klein, Kelly Osbourne and Perez Hilton all cameoed. In news that would’ve led to more gasping and squealing if this were 2011, Taylor Lautner and Marie Avgeropoulos have parted ways after a year of dating. The Twilight hunk is back on the market , ladies and gentlemen. The now-ex-couple started dating in the summer of 2013. Taylor Lautner and Marie Avgeropoulos play love interests in the movie Tracers , due to be released in March of this year. That’s not awkward at all. The pair never spoke publicly about their romance, and kept it very private, but were photographed together on numerous occasions while they were dating. A celebrity gossip source says that the split was entirely amicable, and that the actor is currently dating again, but is not in any exclusive relationship. Lautner previously dated Lily Collins, who he met on the set of his 2011 movie Abduction , and Taylor Swift , who he worked with on Valentine’s Day in 2010.
