Image via Skip Bolen/WireImage/Getty Second Witness Against C-Murder Recants Testimony What a helluva time this has been for Corey Miller aka C-Murder to be alive. Master P’s younger brother already had one witness recant his story after testifying against him back in 2003. Today, according to NOLA , a second witness in the case has come forward to admit that he also lied when pointing out Miller as the shooter who killed 16-year-old Steven Thomas. 36-year-old Darnell Jordan says now that he feared the detectives from Jefferson Parish and was tricked into identifying C-Murder. “I am certain that Corey Miller did not shoot Steve Thomas,” Jordan said in a hand-written letter filed with the 24th Judicial District Court Monday (July 2). The first witness, Kenneth Jordan (no relation to the second witness) also accused the cops of forcing him to name C-Murder. “Once everything broke last week, Darnell Jordan, the only other alleged eyewitness put on by the state, came forward and said he wanted to break his silence,” said Paul Barker, Miller’s defense attorney. Looks like Romeo’s uncle Corey just might be coming home for real. After all this time…
Charlotte Protester Justin Carr Dies From Gunshot Wound The protester that was shot in the head during last night’s Charlotte protest has died in the hospital. 26-year-old Justin Carr passed away late Thursday evening, after being shot by an unknown assailant. Many witnesses on the ground claim that Carr was gunned down by a Charlotte PD officer during a police ambush on the peaceful protest…a claim which the city still denies. Via MailOnline : The demonstrator who was shot in the head during Wednesday night’s riots in Charlotte has died. Justin Carr, 26, died on Thursday after being critically wounded during the unrest over the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott by a police officer. Carr was shot as protesters clashed with police in riot gear lined arm-in-arm protecting the Omni Hotel at about 8.30pm. City officials say Carr was not shot by an officer, but some protesters have claimed that he was wounded by a cop. No arrests have been made in Carr’s death, but a homicide investigation has been launched. Police Chief Kerr Putney says the detectives are determined to find who fired the fatal shots. Among those who question the city’s account of Carr’s shooting is the Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice. Several coalition members were just 10 feet from the victim when he was shot, according to the Charlotte Observer. ‘I saw the man go down on the pavement,’ Minister Steve Knight of Mission gathering Christian Church in Charlotte said. ‘It was an ambush. The victim was shot while he stood between two ministers, and we believe he was shot by police.’ SMH. We pray that everyone in the city of Charlotte can stay safe as protests roll into their third night tonight. Rest in peace, Justin. We hope that the TRUTH behind his death can be discovered and made public very soon… Twitter/Facebook

If you’re a fan of the insanely long-running Law & Order franchise, you know that producers like to explore recent scandals in topical “ripped from the headlines” episodes. So we suppose it was only a matter of time before the Josh Duggar molestation scandal made its way into the writers’ room. In an episode set to air next month, the detectives of SVU will investigate the parents of a religiously conservative reality TV family – after their 13-year-old daughter winds up pregnant. While the show never goes easy on its “especially heinous” criminals, if comments made by series regular Peter Scanavino are any indication, the Duggars will be portrayed in a particularly harsh light: “With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact — I mean, honestly, I feel like we’re dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family,” Scanavino said in a recent interview. “I have never been so infuriated with someone’s level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else…When I think about that guy, it boils my blood, I will say.” Hopefully Josh’s rehab facility doesn’t have TV. We imagine he’ll want to skip this episode. View Slideshow: Josh Duggar Sex Scandal Timeline: How His Family’s Empire Crumbled
“I’d like to have some milk. Please, please give me some.” This request from Michael Jackson was eerily rehashed in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray Friday. Of course, it wasn’t really milk he wanted. That was MJ’s name for thee powerful anesthetic Propofol, which he received via IV, and the one substance he believed offered what he desperately craved: sleep. Dr. Conrad Murray relayed to detectives details of Jackson’s last hours in a taped police interview played to jurors. The interview took place two days after MJ died. Murray conceded that he’d been giving Jackson Propofol almost every day, though he claims only a very small dose (25 mg) was given in the pop icon’s last days. As Jackson struggled to sleep, Murray says he urged the pop star to just close his eyes and meditate, but that seemed to work for only a few minutes at a time. Perhaps because of energy supplements Jackson was taking from another doctor, Propofol “was the only thing that worked for him,” Murray says in the recording. “I constantly cautioned him that it was an artificially induced sleep and he needed to go back to a natural pattern” and “be on your own, with milk and cookies.” Medical professionals have testified that it is unheard of to administer Propofol in somebody’s bedroom. It is normally used as an anesthetic during surgery. Murray told detectives that MJ insisted it was crucial he get enough sleep because he was rehearsing for his “This Is It” concert tour that was only days away. “He complained, he was going to have to cancel the (rehearsal and possibly the tour),” Murray says . “It would not satisfy his fans if he wasn’t rested well.” “I’m trying to do it the best I can and I’m trying to get help,” Murray says. Murray says he stepped away very briefly to go to the bathroom on June 25, 2009, and when he came back, the King of Pop had stopped breathing. He says CPR was unsuccessful, so he called 911 . He says paramedics were unable to revive Jackson, so he had him transferred to UCLA Medical Center, where doctors tried for an hour to revive him. “I love Mr. Jackson, he was my friend and he opened up to me in different ways and I wanted to help him as much as I can,” Murray told the detectives. “I was trying to wean him off the Propofol.” Defense attorneys have made the controversial assertion that Michael Jackson himself took the fatal dose of drugs that morning when Murray left the room. Murray’s girlfriends, including Sade Anding and Nicole Alvarez , have cast doubt on that theory given their timeline of phone calls made that day, though.
