Gucci doesn’t miss a beat as he continues his song, “Wasted.” Unclear if the dude was hurt, but EMS was not called. Son better be happy he wasn’t hurt. Watch the non-incident below.
Source: J. Shearer / Getty In more Super Bowl news …it looks like Janet Jackson won’t be performing with Justin Timberlake during the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday after all. The iconic singer confirmed the news on social media on Saturday. “To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow; I will not,” she wrote. “Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.” pic.twitter.com/W2ZsGkTFs2 — Janet Jackson (@JanetJackson) February 4, 2018 This news has us like… As we previously wrote , the last time the two performed together at a Super Bowl it spurred the infamous Nipplegate. Remember, back in 2004, at the end of hit song ‘Rock Your Body,’ Timberlake was supposed to pull off a part of Jackson’s costume to reveal her lacy bra, but instead her bare breast partially covered with a metal nipple pasty was exposed, sparking nationwide outrage. CBS made Janet issue a public apology for the moment saying, “My decision to change the Super Bowl performance was made after the final rehearsal. MTV, CBS, [and] the NFL had no knowledge of this whatsoever and unfortunately, the whole thing went wrong in the end. I am really sorry if I offended anyone, that was truly not my intention.” Even though she apologized, her invitation to present at the 2004 Grammys was rescinded while JT went on to win two trophies that night. Even worse: Apparently, Janet’s videos were blacklisted from MTV that happens to be owned by Viacom that also owns CBS. Janet’s career paid a huge price, while Justin got a slap on the wrist. Sigh… While Janet won’t get her justice when it comes to the Super Bowl, Black Twitter–thanks to film director Matthew Cherry — has named Feb. 4 as #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay to celebrate her greatness: When you get #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay trending the same day of Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl performance. pic.twitter.com/dy3WV7fIoQ — Matthew A. Charlotte Protester Justin Carr Dies From Gunshot Wound The protester that was shot in the head during last night’s Charlotte protest has died in the hospital. 26-year-old Justin Carr passed away late Thursday evening, after being shot by an unknown assailant. Many witnesses on the ground claim that Carr was gunned down by a Charlotte PD officer during a police ambush on the peaceful protest…a claim which the city still denies. Via MailOnline : The demonstrator who was shot in the head during Wednesday night’s riots in Charlotte has died. Justin Carr, 26, died on Thursday after being critically wounded during the unrest over the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott by a police officer. Carr was shot as protesters clashed with police in riot gear lined arm-in-arm protecting the Omni Hotel at about 8.30pm. City officials say Carr was not shot by an officer, but some protesters have claimed that he was wounded by a cop. No arrests have been made in Carr’s death, but a homicide investigation has been launched. Police Chief Kerr Putney says the detectives are determined to find who fired the fatal shots. Among those who question the city’s account of Carr’s shooting is the Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice. Several coalition members were just 10 feet from the victim when he was shot, according to the Charlotte Observer. ‘I saw the man go down on the pavement,’ Minister Steve Knight of Mission gathering Christian Church in Charlotte said. ‘It was an ambush. The victim was shot while he stood between two ministers, and we believe he was shot by police.’ SMH. We pray that everyone in the city of Charlotte can stay safe as protests roll into their third night tonight. Rest in peace, Justin. We hope that the TRUTH behind his death can be discovered and made public very soon… Twitter/Facebook
