Source: paul bradbury / Getty Man Survives Brutal Bear Attack Using Pocket Knife While Americans are out here wildin’ with guns, one Canadian man survived a full grizzly bear attack with just some hope and a pocket knife. Colin Dowler was mountain biking on a logging road and exploring potential routes in the remote backcountry of British Columbia, when he bent the corner and ran into a grizzly bear. He was about 100ft (30 metres) from the bear – “too close in my opinion”, he told the BBC by phone from his hospital bed. As he was considering what to do, the animal kept walking towards him at what seemed a natural pace. After the bear started taking heavy swipes at him, he threw his bike at it, but undeterred the bear bit him in the stomach, then picked him up and dropped him into a ditch, roughly 50ft (15 metres) away, before taking deep bites into his thighs. But how the hell did he survive that? The article added: After trying to gouge out the bear’s eyes and briefly playing dead, he managed to reach for his pocket knife and stab the bear in the neck with its two-inch blade. There was a rush of blood and the bear let go and retreated. Losing blood and needing to find help, he put pressure on his wounded leg using a shirt sleeve and cycled four and a half miles to a logging camp, where he collapsed. Fortunately, there were workers on site to treat his wound and give him a blood transfusion. The 45-year is old is currently in Vancouver hospital, slowly but surely recovering from the vicious attack. What a brave bul.

The “Old Town Road” star says backlash has increased sine his big reveal and in a new BBC interview the Atlanta native seems at peace with his decision. BBC News reports : US rapper Lil Nas X has revealed he has experienced a backlash on social media since posting cryptic hints on Twitter that he is gay. “I’m not angry… because I understand how they want that reaction,” said the 20-year-old performer. “So I’m just going to joke back with them.” Lil Nas X – real name Montero Lamar Hill – told BBC Breakfast he felt like he was “opening doors for more people”. “I don’t want to live my entire life… not doing what I want to do,” he added. He said he hoped his fans would “feel comfortable” but admitted homosexuality was “not really accepted in either the country [or] hip-hop communities”. This week, Thomas Markle lamented that Meghan had ghosted him , and announced that only Queen Elizabeth II can mend his broken family. We now know that this disgusting betrayal of Meghan’s boundaries may have ruined his chances of reconciliation. See, Meghan had hoped to resolve tension with the Queen by getting back in touch with her father, but he just destroyed his chances. A new, in-depth profile by Vanity Fair tracks the breakdown of the Markle family. The most interesting revelation is that the Queen was so concerned about Thomas Markle’s paid photo ops and his interviews that she wanted to step in. “She was very concerned that it [the Markle situation] was spiraling out of control,” a royal insider reveals. “Which,” the source admits. “It was.” That is true. There is nothing about Meghan’s relatives on her father’s side that seems remotely under control. “Buckingham Palace wanted to be able to do something,” the insider adds. According to the source, the Queenw anted to take action “and be proactive and make the situation go away.” “It was a direction from the Queen,” the insider notes. “So her courtiers were under strict instructions to sort it out.” The royal family has dealt with scandals before. They take their responsibility as essentially very wealthy mascots very seriously. “But,” the source reveals. “Kensington Palace was not singing from the same hymn sheet,” That is a hilarious euphemism for disagreement. “And that was because the message was coming from Meghan,” the insider explains. Meghan, filled with embarrassment and shame that her family was being a royal terror, didn’t want to burden her in-laws. “She didn’t want to engage,” the source says. “And,” the insider continues, Meghan “thought that she could handle it on her own.” Apparently, this difference of opinion caused a little bit of tension between the two courts. Fittingly, it sounds like the sort of royal drama you’d get on a BBC production rather than on HBO. Meghan didn’t want the tension, however, so she was reportedly prepared to begin speaking with her father on a trial basis. She would have the strict condition that he not open his yap and resume blabbing to any media outlet that would listen. Unfortunately, just days before this report was released but very likely after Meghan had resolved to resume contact, Thomas was back on TV. Thomas Markle appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk incessantly about any topic that came up. Admittedly, it was nice of him to give Piers Morgan the rare opportunity to not be the worst person on the show. But this was a terrible thing to do to his daughter, whose alleged plan to resume contact with him blew up in her face. Thomas rambled on, claiming that Meghan and Harry believe whatever they read in tabloids about what he says. He openly wondered why Meghan hasnt’ contacted him. As anyone on the planet can tell him, it’s because he cannot be trusted to not blabber to the nearest camera. The monarchy is old and fairly unique. But family drama is as common as families. It takes different forms, but it exists. Some very toxic people have called out and insisted that Meghan should speak to Thomas simply because he’s her father. Man Charged With Driving Two Autistic Kids Into Ocean A Los Angeles area man is finally jailed and charged with drowning his two kids and attempting to kill their mother after a 2015 “accident”. His arrest was delayed due to “insufficient evidence”, but last week, the FBI made it’s move after a thorough investigation according to reports. According to the NY Daily News , Ali Elmezayen, 44, allegedly killed his two children, ages 8 and 13, when he drove his car off of a Los Angeles wharf. Elmezayen purchased “several accidental death insurance policies” amounting to $6 million covering himself, his kids and his domestic partner, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Central California. The accused paid $6,000 a year to maintain that coverage, despite earning less than $30,000 a year. Sketchy AF! Reportedly Elmezayen’s domestic partner couldn’t swim and was also a passenger in the car. She was rescued by a fisherman who witnessed the crash. So sad. May those innocent children rest in peace.
Source: Om Prakash Maurya / Getty Monkey Grabs Baby From Mothers Arms Before Biting Him To Death A monkey swiped a newborn baby from his breastfeeding mother’s arms and tragically bit him to death. This attack came only two days before a pack of simians killed a 58-year-old woman in the same Indian city. The 12-day-old infant was in his mother’s arms while inside their home in the city of Agra, which is when the rhesus macaques suddenly barged in and grabbed the baby, the BBC reported . According to the report, locals ran after the monkey until it finally dropped the severely injured child onto a neighbor’s roof. The baby died of his injuries at a hospital. “The monkey bit the infant’s head and only dropped him when people chased it with sticks and threw stones at it,” Ajay Kaushal, the officer in charge at the nearby police station, told Reuters. The family was obviously devastated following the attack. The child’s uncle Dhirendra Kumar told the BBC, “There are too many monkeys in the area. We live in fear. We have told the administration so many times to help us but they haven’t done anything. The mother of the baby is too distraught to even speak.” The baby’s grandmother Pushpa Devi told the station that the family would “never recover” from the sudden loss. “I have lost my grandson,” Devi explained. “Just a few hours before the monkey attacked our baby, I had him in my arms. Our baby didn’t have to die. People will talk about it for a while and then forget it. But we have to live with the reality that our baby is gone.” Jus two days after this devastating attack, 58-year-old Bhoomi Devi was killed after monkeys attacked her when she had gone out of her house at Thok Mohalla, The Telegraph India reported. She was rushed to a hospital, but could not be saved. These deaths are the latest in a string of monkey attacks in the city, which is home to an estimated 25,000 monkeys. “Monkeys are everywhere in Agra,” local environmental activist Shravan Kumar Singh told Reuters, adding that the animals have become more aggressive after being displaced from their natural habitats. “They come in search of food, but they snatch and attack as well.” Some local organizations are calling for a complete overhaul of the situation including for authorities to compensate monkey attack victims, for the animals to be sterilized and for their exclusion from legislation protecting wildlife, Singh said.

BBC reports: Prosecutors said actress Lucia Evans had given a witness a different version of the alleged sex assault from the one she had given them. Ms. Evans has told US media that Mr Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2004. Five charges involving alleged sex assaults on two women remain. Mr Weinstein has denied all the charges. Mr Weinstein’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said he would seek to have the remaining charges dismissed as well. Over the weekend, Cardi B made her New York Fashion Week debut by attending the Harper’s Bazaar ‘ICONS’ event at The Plaza Hotel. She was dressed in a beautiful red ball gown, stunning jewelry and her hair pulled back into an elegant ponytail. Who would have known that she was dressed to beat the brakes off of somebody? On this night, Cardi B was not the only raptress in attendance. Nicki Minaj, who behind the scenes is her arch nemesis, was also at the Harper’s Bazaar soiree. It’s unclear how it all got started, who started it or why, but Cardi B ended up almost getting into a physical altercation with Nicki Minaj. From various videos that were posted, Cardi attempted to get at Nicki as best she could but the Barb was protected by security. There are rumors that Nicki’s friend, Rah Ali of Love and Hip Hop New York, defended her and actually got physical with Cardi. However, there aren’t any photos or videos to really support that theory. What we do know is that Cardi B took off her shoe and flung it at Nicki when Nicki refused to back away from the corner and fight her one on one. According to Cardi, the fight has been brewing for months. Cardi took to Instagram to share her side of what happened. “I’ve let a lot of shit slide!
