His new name shall be…”The Big Paternal” Shaquille O’Neal Named “Father Of The Year” By National Fathers Day Council Shaquille O’Neal took a break from his TNT studio work to travel to New York on Thursday to receive a Father of the Year award, and Shaq being Shaq, he wasn’t shy about discussing a couple of news items in the process. The four-time NBA champion made headlines recently when he indicated interest in the open Orlando Magic GM position. He eventually withdrew from consideration before interviewing and said Thursday that “I wouldn’t be comfortable taking the GM job if I couldn’t do it my way.” Besides, he says he’s “having fun with TNT. It’s probably one the best, comfiest, easiest jobs in the country.” O’Neal also commented on the NBA Finals, saying that while he doesn’t have a favored team, he thought the Thunder were impressive in their Game 1 victory. “They kept their composure; they didn’t panic when Miami came out [hot in the first half]. And [Kevin] Durant played a smooth game as usual.” O’Neal was in good spirits at the ceremony run by The National Father’s Day Council, joking that “I’ve won a lot of awards. You know, I got an Oscar for Kazaam. But this award is among the most prestigious.” The father of six concluded his acceptance speech with a quick anecdote about coaching a basketball team for one of his sons: “We made it all the way to the championship game. We were down by eight with two minutes left. So I gave the only speech I could think to give. Woman Claims Apple Employee Refused To Sell Her Ipad After Learning That She Was From Iran Apparently all Ipad sales are NOT created equal… A 19-year-old woman in Alpharetta, Ga., claims that her local Apple store refused to sell her anything after she was heard speaking Farsi with her uncle while she was trying to buy an iPhone and iPad. “When we said ‘Farsi, I’m from Iran,’ he said, ‘I just can’t sell this to you. Our countries have bad relations,’” Sahar Sabet told WSB-TV. According to the report, the Apple store employee cited the company’s official policy, which prohibits the sale of their products to countries with which trade is prohibited by U.S. embargo. Source

“When tha pimp’s in da crib, drop it like it’s hot.” – Snoop Dogg The above quote means absolutely nothing, but The Situation from Jersey Shore is being sued for screwing over an apparel company called Serious Pimp, and Snoop apparently endorses some of their products … so there’s that. Serious Pimp is slapping Sitch with a lawsuit claiming the reality star made a deal to promote its t-shirts on the show, Facebook, Twitter and various other places. According to the lawsuit, Mike Sorrentino and his brother had the right to approve the t-shirt designs, but never said yay or nay. They just disappeared, allegedly. With the $25,000 advance he got. Serious Pimp planned on co-partnering with The Situation to make a bundle on the shirts, so they want that advance back as well as compensation for lost profit. New York Judge stops sale of Sarah Palin condoms

New York – Although still available online, a judge in New York has put an end to the sales of condoms adorned with images of either Sarah Palin or President Obama sold by two street vendors in New York — the men have been condemned to a day of community service. Two unlicensed street vendors have been told to stop selling Barack Obama and Sarah Palin condoms in the streets of New York. While the men claimed that their products contained political messages, which should exempt the vendors from needing an appropriate license, the judge saw things differently and ruled that selling condoms was pure business. The men got off with a slap on the wrist, though, because they were sentenced to merely one day of community service — very little considering they had been selling the goofy condoms for about two years. The story has been reported in the New York Daily News, yet it is Politico who supplies us with the information that the condoms are still available online, at this dedicated website. The Palin version features a photograph of the ex Alaska governor in front of a caribou, beneath the slogan “When abortion is not an option,” while the Obama package shows a portrait of the president with the text “ultimate stimulus package”, yet also warning that “hope is not a form of protection.” I don't see how this is illegal, they are both political figures. added by: toyotabedzrock

HTC Evo Release Date: June 4

Nexus One Verizon Release Date vs HTC Evo 4G – The actual unveiling and the most anticipated release date of the Google Nexus One just seems to constantly gain a controversy since both Verizon Wireless and Sprint have already made announcements  that they are withdrawing their support for the Google’s Nexus One. This obviously means that both network companies are through with the Nexus One because they are looking now to  promoting the new HTC Evo 4G. After this withdrawing of support, the At&T and Tmobile now left for the American carriers who will offer the Nexus One in the market. Now there are some reports that are claiming that Google will still win in this battle of releasing updates of Nexus One because Google is saying that the HTC Incredible and Evo 4G are both their products and innovation technology. In short they run on Google’s OS.  The HTC Evo 4G then is expected to be released on June 4 of the current year. For those who are now curious of whats the HTC Evo 4G instored for the customers, HTC Evo has the larger screen with same resolution as the Nexus One.
