Who Bailed Brooke Mueller Out of Jail?

According to witnesses, video and arrest records , Brooke Mueller spent Friday night in Aspen drinking, partying, dancing and assaulting. She’s now free on $11,000 bond… thanks to a certain famous, former drug-loving ex-husband. That’s right: Radar Online reports that Charlie Sheen posted his ex-wife’s bond, which shouldn’t come as a major surprise because he and Brooke have grown close again over the last few weeks. But why didn’t any immediate family members step up? They “wanted to leave her in jail,” a source claims , adding that Mueller’s loved one are “done with her” and believe she must get clean… “or she is going to die.” Mueller has been in and out of rehab on numerous occasions. There are still scant details available regarding the latest incident, but documents show she was booked for cocaine possession and third degree assault.

Conrad Murray: Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Pleads Not Guilty

In a follow-up to a story we posted earlier today , Conrad Murray has been officially charged with involuntary manslaughter and has entered a plea of not guilty. The documents were filed in court today by the Los Angeles District Attorney, who alleges Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson.” Those are haunting words just to read, aren’t they? Meanwhile, the county coroner released his official findings at the hearing and there’s no doubt about it: a lethal dosage of Propofol killed the singer . Eleven vials of the drug were found in Jackson’s home, and none of had prescription directions, patient or doctor names. According to the coroner’s report, obtained by TMZ, homicide is cited as the cause of death because… The setting of Jackson’s bedroom (e.g.

Charlie Sheen Charged with Trio of Crimes

No one on the planet is thankful for the existence of Dr. Conrad Murray… but if anyone could find a silver lining in that physician’s involvement in Michael Jackson’s death, it’s Charlie Sheen. That’s because Murray’s arraignment today on charges of involuntary manslaughter overshadowed the fact that Sheen was also in court. As a result of his Christmas Day confrontation with wife Brooke Mueller, the actor was charged with three crimes in an Aspen court: felony menacing , misdemeanor third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Sheen did not enter a plea. The judge did relax the protective order that has been in place against Charlie since December 25; he can now communicate and have contact with Mueller. The couple embraced each other at the conclusion of the hearing and Sheen is due back in court in March.

Taser-hit man burst into flames

Taser guns discharge 50,000 vol

A man in Western Australia was engulfed in flames when police officers fired a Taser stun gun at him.

Police say they used the Taser on Ronald Mitchell, 36, when he ran at them carrying a container of petrol and a cigarette lighter.

They said that Mr Mitchell, who lives in a remote Aboriginal community, had been sniffing petrol. They suggested the cigarette lighter started the fire.

Mr Mitchell is in a critical condition in hospital with third degree burns.

Bare hands

Western Australia Police say they went to the community of Warburton, about 1,500 km (950 miles) north-east of Perth, in response to a complaint.

They say they used the Taser on Mr Mitchell when he came out of the house and ran at them.

He burst into flames. One officer pushed him to the ground and smothered the fire with his bare hands, police said.

Mr Mitchell’s sister told The Australian newspaper that her brother had been sniffing petrol.

“He must have put petrol on his face, then the policeman shot him with the Taser, that’s when the flames happened,” she said.

Police Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan said Mr Mitchell was a known violent offender, and defended the police officers’ deployment of the Taser.

He told reporters: “The only other choice they would have had is to use a police-issue firearm, and the consequences would almost certainly have been far more grave.”

He said the police internal affairs department would investigate the incident, saying there was “a very strong possibility that the fire was caused by the lighter in the hand of the offender”.

Review call

Mr Mitchell was charged with assault to prevent arrest and possession of a sniffing substance.

Dennis Eggington, of the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia, called for an urgent review of Taser use.

Aboriginal people, he said, were often in poor health, which made them particularly vulnerable to stun weapons.

A Taser works by firing two barbs which penetrate the skin and discharge 50,000 volts along two copper wires attached to the gun.

Amnesty International has called them “potentially lethal”.
