Some Hump Day Handsome: ‘Young & The Restless’ Man Candy Redaric Williams Flexes His Rock Hard Abs For Rolling Out Magazine

New Actor Redaric Williams Covers Rolling Out Magazine The soap opera world just got a fresh new male face with a sun-kissed body and he goes by the name of Redaric Williams. The Detroit-born hard body is the newcomer on the set of the long-running daytime soap opera series “The Young & The Restless,” where he plays the son of former Y&R lovebirds Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) and Malcolm (Shemar Moore). He recently stopped by Rolling Out Magazine to flaunt his chiseled physique, dish details on his new role, and reveal how he feels about being considered Motor City man candy. Check out a few interview excerpts below: On his hometown: Ask him where he’s from and he’ll say Detroit without hesitation even though he moved around a lot as a kid. Still, he was born in Michigan and graduated from high school in the Motor City. “Detroit is my city,” he says with obvious affection. “I have an affinity for Detroit. I always have. Always will. I haven’t been back in years but Detroit is definitely my city.” On his role on “The Young & The Restless” and being compared to Shemar Moore: “I underestimated how huge the soap world is and how diverse the viewing demographic is,” he admits. Some fans who are not feeling Tyler have tried to dismiss Williams as a Shemar Moore wannabe but Williams, who is clear that he is his own man, is flattered by any comparisons, positive and negative, to Moore. “If you compare me to Shemar, I am honored,” he says. “He’s a great guy. He’s doing his thing — stamped, sealed and solidified — and to be able to be mentioned in the same sentence is an honor.” On being considered a sex symbol: “I don’t see myself as that so I don’t think I’d ever be comfortable in something that I don’t see myself as,” he explains, “but I am aware of it and I’m kind of fine with it in the sense that I know that that’s what’s required for what I’m trying to do career-wise.” We certainly look forward to seeing more of Redaric and his abs in around Hollyweird. Ladies, would you hit it? You can peep a few more pics of Redaric on the flip to help you decide…

Boyz II Men: The ‘Battle Of The Boy Bands’ Forefathers

Boyz up against longtime rivals Jodeci in round one; voting open now! By John Mitchell, with reporting by Jocelyn Vena Boyz II Men Photo: Jeff Fusco/ Getty Images Our Battle of the Boy Bands got off to a roaring start Monday as fans of new groups like the Wanted and One Direction and legacy acts like ‘NSYNC and New Kids on the Block hit our bracket hard to push their favorites on to the next round. One group that is in it to win it is Boyz II Men , who told MTV News they were among the “progenitors” of the entire boy-band genre. “We were kind of like the progenitors, the torch holders of a lot of the artists, of a lot of the boy bands that came about,” Nathan Morris told us. Highest Chart Achievement In the mid-’90s, Boyz II Men ruled the charts. That’s not hyperbole, either — three of the top-10 longest-running #1 singles in the history of the Billboard chart belong to the band. Their top song, though, is actually a duet, and with 16 weeks spent atop the chart, it’s also the biggest single ever: “One Sweet Day” with Mariah Carey. Boyz II Men are one of just four artists or groups to have held the #1 spot for at least 50 weeks cumulatively. On the all-time list, they fall at #4, behind only (ahem!) Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Carey. (With 47 weeks, Usher falls just short at #5.) Clearly, the band has quite a few chart achievements under its belt. Standout Video The Boyz made a series of great videos for their hits “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You” and “Water Runs Dry,” but for its cameos alone, “On Bended Knee” rises above. In the clip, each band member breaks up with and eventually reconciles with a girlfriend, played by four famous actresses: Victoria Rowell, Ren
