David Arquette on Dancing With the Stars Run: A Life-Changing Experience

This week’s Dancing with the Stars results were a bit unfair to David Arquette, who did more than enough to stay in the competition at least one more week. But rather than talking about how he should have outlasted Nancy Grace, he’s taking the high road and praising the ABC show for the experience it gave him. It’s easy to see why, given that his seven-week run painted him in positive light, following a rough patch that had him making headlines for … other reasons. After a trip to rehab, a car accident, a separation from wife Courteney Cox, a fling with Jasmine Waltz and more details he’d just as soon forget, he now can. David Arquette on Dancing With the Stars (Week 7) “I learned a lot about myself on this show,” the actor said after he and partner Kym Johnson were eliminated from the hit series on Tuesday night’s program. “I learned a lot about self-appreciation and finding joy in my life and doing things that are positive for me. Kym and I had the best time. We had a lot of fun.” Arquette, who says his votes are now going to fellow competitor J.R. Martinez , is “sad” about the dismissal, but is also looking on the bright side of leaving. “I’m looking forward to spending time with friends, taking my daughter to school, going to ice skating with her, getting to play with her – just sleeping,” he said. “I woke up at 3:30 this morning, just amped up. It’s just so much high pressure and stress. I’m looking forward to that lack of anxiety on Mondays.” Did David deserve to get the boot?

Lindsay Lohan Jail Stint: Delayed By Playboy Shoot!

It turns out Judge Stephanie Sautner threw Lindsay Lohan a bone so she can help men everywhere get one – she’ll be allowed to finish her Playboy shoot before going to jail. Playboy is paying nearly $1 million for its Lindsay Lohan nude spread, and has to meet deadlines. By bailing, she’d be in breach of contact … and more legal trouble. So Judge Sautner cut her a break, giving her one week to surrender and begin her 30-day jail sentence . In the meantime, she’ll be giving Playboy the vadge of courage. Regarding her sentence, Lohan is telling friends the deal is “very fair” and vowing to hold up her end of the deal so she doesn’t have to spend an extra 270 days in jail. She was just given 30 days, of which she’ll likely serve less than half due to overcrowding and good behavior. But if she screws up her probation again, look out. Obviously, going to jail “isn’t the most exciting thing” for LiLo, but she is happy she has the opportunity to control her own destiny and actually “respects” Sautner. Actions speak louder than words, but good to hear. Lindsay Lohan’s jail sentence: Lindsay Lohan in Playboy:

Jennifer Lawrence on The Hunger Games: Not Like Twilight!

The comparisons were inevitable, but Jennifer Lawrence would like to stop them before they grow too loud. ” The Hunger Games is not Twilight ,” the actress, who plays the main role of Katniss Everdeen in this March 23 release, says in the latest issue of Vanity Fair . “It’s really premature to say that it will be the same phenomenon.” Lawrence stars in the movie alongside an impressive young cast, pictured above on set in North Carolina, that includes Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. They round out the teen participants forced to compete to the death in the government-mandated Hunger Games. “I’m so proud of the work we did on the film,” Lawrence gushes. “[Director] Gary Ross and the entire cast and crew were amazing, and I can’t wait for it to be brought to life because I think it’s an important story. If it does become a crazy phenomenon, I’ll soak up my freedom now!” Pick up the latest issue of Vanity Fair for more from this young, rising star.
