O.J. Simpson Manager: He Didn’t Even Write "If I Did It"!

O.J. Simpson’s longtime associate and former manager Norman Pardo says the disgraced NFL star got a raw deal, particularly involving If I Did It . He spoke out again Tuesday, on the 20th anniversary of Simpson’s infamous arrest for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Pardo claims O.J. didn’t write the controversial book If I Did It , the 2006 tome which explores how Simpson would’ve hypothetically probably killed people . If he did it, that is. If. Personally, we feel that this alternate title and cover (above right) would have been more appropriate under the circumstances, but alas, we digress. According to Pardo, Simpson agreed to claim authorship of If I Did It after being promised a $600,000 payout by NewsCorp and its subsidiary ReganBooks. “I remember when that book was coming out. O.J. called me. He said, ‘Here’s the deal,’ because it was in the news that he was going to do an interview.” “I said, ‘O.J., don’t do it, it’s stupid.’ He said, ‘Hey, they offered me $600,000 not to dispute that I [wrote] the book.’ He said, ‘That’s cash.'” “I said, ‘They’re going to think you wrote it.’ He said, ‘So?'” “‘Everybody thinks I’m a murderer anyway,'” the Juice reportedly told Pardo then. “‘They’re not going to change their mind just because of a book.'” Amid public outcry, the project was yanked, and in 2007, the family of Ron Goldman acquired its rights to satisfy the 1997 wrongful death suit against O.J. So what creep was actually behind the words in If I Did It? “A ghostwriter for [the book’s publisher] wrote the book. [O.J.] was going to do an interview to say, ‘ I wrote the book , blah blah blah,’ and they give him money,” Pardo said. O.J.’s right about one thing in that people do believe he probably killed people – exonerated in the eyes of his Lord as he may be (in his warped mind). That book? Not exactly a positive PR move, however. 15 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People 1. O.J. Simpson O.J. Simpson was arrested for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, leading to the trial of the century in 1994-95.

Adrianne Palicki Cast As Wonder Woman

‘Friday Night Lights’ star will play Wonder Woman, her public persona, Diana Themyscira, and private persona, Diana Prince, in new TV series. By Terri Schwartz Adrianne Palicki Photo: Getty Images “Friday Night Lights” star Adrianne Palicki has landed the coveted role of Wonder Woman in a forthcoming TV series based on the iconic comic book superhero made famous by Lynda Carter in the 1970s. The Amazonian superhero has struggled to get herself to the screen over the past decade, but now that NBC has nabbed David E. Kelley’s ” Wonder Woman ” TV series, production is finally under way. And it makes sense that Palicki, who spent three seasons on “Friday Night Lights,” is the woman who landed the lead, considering “Friday Night Lights” director and producer Jeffrey Reiner is directing the show’s pilot episode. TV Line broke the news that Palicki will be playing Wonder Woman, but Kelley’s show will demand that the 5′ 11″, 27-year-old actress play her two other personas as well. In addition to the titular crime-fighting DC comics superhero, now reinvented as a Los Angeles-based vigilante, Palicki will be playing Wonder Woman’s public persona, mega-billionaire CEO Diana Themyscira, as well as her private persona, Diana’s “plain Jane” assistant Diana Prince. After Palicki’s casting was announced, former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter tweeted her approval , saying, “Congratulations Adrianne!” Palicki is far from a stranger to the small screen. In addition to her well-known stint on the recently ended “Friday Night Lights,” she starred in the short-lived TV shows “Lone Star” and “Aquaman,” and memorably guest-starred in “Supernatural,” “Criminal Minds” and “Robot Chicken.” She also recently worked big-screen projects, with major starring roles in 2010’s “Legion” and the upcoming “Red Dawn” remake. In recent years, Hollywood actresses from Jennifer Love Hewitt to Beyonc

JWoww Dishes Relationship Advice On ‘Tonight Show’

‘Jersey Shore’ star is out promoting her book, ‘The Rules According to JWoww.’ By Terri Schwartz JWoww on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Photo: NBC Though Jenni “JWoww” Farley is one of the most lovable characters from “Jersey Shore” both on- and offscreen, she certainly has had her problems with relationships. For the first season of the show, she entered the Shore house in a steady relationship with boyfriend Tommy, but after a steamy make-out session with castmate Pauly D, he broke it off with her. Now, however, she’s seven months into a relationship with boyfriend Roger and told Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” that she has learned her lesson. “I wrote the book [‘The Rules According to JWoww’] when I was in the middle of our relationship, about four months ago, and I based it off him,” she told Leno on Wednesday night’s show. “I was like, this is what I did wrong with all my exes, and now I found him.” The book details JWoww’s secrets on how to land the guy you want and how to destroy the competition, and she shared some of her sage advice on “The Tonight Show.” Rule number one for a first date? Don’t drink. “Don’t end up like we are on the show. Avoid that,” the 23-year-old said with a laugh. “You want to build communication. You want to listen to what they’re saying.” JWoww said she’s been in three serious relationships so far, and has had her share of dating men both good and bad. When Leno asked her if she hopes she and Roger will still be together the next time she comes on the show, she said she hopes so. But JWoww isn’t sure whether Roger will be visiting her when the “Jersey Shore” gang heads to Italy for the coming season. Still, with her advice book built around their relationship, it seems that sticking by her own rules — like being up front about her eating habits and not settling for a guy whose lifestyle she has a problem with — has been keeping the two lovebirds happy. Take for instance rule 17: Bust his balls a little. “Roger’s going to kill me. He’s a bodybuilder, he’s huge, he’s about 6′ 3″. I like to be like, oh, you’re looking a little small recently,” she said. “Got to keep it interesting.” Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
