It’s not like Mariah is going to run off with Arsenio….he doesn’t have enough money for “The Diva.” According to The National Enquirer MARIAH CAREY is spending hours with Arsenio Hall on his upcoming talk show – and hubby Nick Cannon doesn’t like it one bit, say sources. The 44-year-old beauty is helping Arsenio, a friend for more than 20 years, plan the launch of his new late-night show this fall, but Nick is feeling left out, reveal pals. “Nick genuinely likes Arsenio, but he’s intimidated by his close friendship with Mariah,” said an insider. “They’ve been locked away planning every aspect of the first week of his show.” Arsenio,58, had a late-night show many years ago when Mariah was a newcomer, and he gave her career a big boost by featuring her on his program. Now the singer wants to repay him by performing live on his new show and perhaps even joining him in a comedy skit. But her 32-year-old husband, who hosts “America’s Got Talent,” is sick of being shouldered aside, said the insider. “Nick knows there’s nothing untoward going on, but he’s beginning to wonder where his own career is headed. Although he’s a big hit on ‘AGT,’ Nick feels he’s playing second fiddle to Howard Stern and the other judges. He’s dying to star on his own show like Arsenio, yet no one takes him seriously. “Even Mariah is hesitant to help him because she’s sensitive about mixing business with their marriage and doesn’t want to take the chance that he’ll blame her if he fails.” While Nick has landed gigs outside of “AGT,” for the most part he stays busy taking care of the couple’s 2-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. A rep for Mariah denies Nick’s career has led to tension in the marriage, and sources say the sexy entertainer is delighted to be working with her old pal Arsenio. Quipped the source: “Now all she needs to do is figure out a way to keep her bored hubby happy!” How would you feel if your wife spent all her time with her male friend?

Looks like Arsenio Hall is back trying to get into Paula Abdul’s drawls … Via National Enquirer: The two, who first dated back in 1989 and have reunited a few times since then, were spotted getting cozy at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on May 1. Now, sources say they’re both ready to pick up where they last left off. “Arsenio adores Paula and is determined to make their relationship work this time,” said a source. “She’s like his good luck charm, and when Paula’s in his life, great things happen for Arsenio.” During an interview in 2009, Arsenio raved about the former “American Idol” and “X Factor” judge. Arsenio, 58, called 50-year-old Paula the “best girl to hang with on the planet,” adding: “I was madly in love with her…That’s my girl to death and I’m always there for her.” As The ENQUIRER reported in 2011, Arsenio – who hosted a late-night talk show from 1989 to 1994 – decided to make a TV comeback because Paula convinced him it was the right time, and that she could pull some strings to help. “Arsenio was afraid people had forgotten him, but Paula said a whole new generation was waiting for his humor,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. Aubrey O’Day may not be a slut , but she is out of a job. The outspoken … whatever she is gave it her best all season long, but she was fired Sunday on Celebrity Apprentice, leaving Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall as the last men standing and vying for the top spot next week. Did Donald Trump make the right call axing Aubrey? The boss man called the singer “transparent,” sending her packing and leaving Arsenio and Clay to battle it out, with former teammates back in the fold. Clay got some help from Penn Jillette, Dee Snyder, Debbie Gibson and Aubrey O’Day . Arsenio, picked Paul Teutul Sr., Teresa Giudice, Lisa Lampanelli and Adam Carolla. Team Clay and Team Arsenio were then told to direct, produce and star in a variety show to raise money for their charities, sell tickets and create a PSA. Clay decided to put on a musical, asking Debbie for musical advice and Penn to help write and conceptualize. Clay and Debbie quickly sparred over it. The former American Idol runner-up was a fan of micromanaging more than Arsenio, but both men were dedicated to raising funds for their causes. Clay, a former special education teacher, was happy and right in his element when working with children for a National Inclusion Project PSA. Arsenio, who was raising money for the Magic Johnson Foundation, took a humorous approach to the task. He even involved Magic in the PSA. Unfortunately for Team Arsenio, a miscommunication with the tech team made much of Magic’s essential shot unusable, possibly dooming him.
