Paula Deen Says Michelle Obama Probably “Ate More Than Any Other Guest,” Claims First Lady Loves Fried Fatty Foods

Paula Deen gets the side-eye for dry snitching and throwing our girl Chelly-O under the bus in a recent interview. The famous Food Network personality told interviewers how the First Lady, who has received her fair share of flack for pushing her “Let’s Move” campaign on American youth, doesn’t always practice what she preaches: “Well, I did a show with Michelle and I just loved being with her,” Deen told Yeas & Nays. “She probably ate more than any other guest I’ve ever had on the show —she kept eating even during commercials.” Deen taught Obama how to fry shrimp during a TV segment in September before the 2008 presidential election. “You know what their favorite foods are — it’s hot wings, you know, those kinds of foods that are not necessarily top-of-the-list healthy foods, so she’s no different than the rest of us,” Deen said. “We love those kinds of foods, we just know that we can’t eat them everyday.” The culinary superstar also said she supported the first lady’s initiative to get more Americans gardening. “So I love that,” she said. “I was really happy to see her encouraging children, you know, to plant their little gardens.” Paula know her big behind need to plant some “little gardens” too. At least our girl Michelle stays in the gym. Source

Hopeydopeyontheropey: Confidence Waning in Obama

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows that American voters sure are looking for change – from Obama: Sixty-two percent of adults in the survey feel the country is on the wrong track, the highest level since before the 2008 election. Just one-third think the economy will get better over the next year, a 7-point drop from a month ago and the low point of Mr. Obama's tenure. Amid anxiety over the nation's course, support for Mr. Obama and other incumbents is eroding. For the first time, more people disapprove of Mr. Obama's job performance than approve. And 57% of voters would prefer to elect a new person to Congress than re-elect their local representatives, the highest share in 18 years. …Some 30% in the poll said they ‘do not really relate’ to Mr. Obama. Only 8% said that at the beginning of his presidency. Fewer than half give him positive marks when asked if he is ‘honest and straightforward.'’ And 49% rate him positively when asked if he has ‘strong leadership qualities,'’ down from 70% when Mr. Obama took office and a drop of 8 points since January. Just 40% rate him positively on his ‘ability to handle a crisis,’ an 11-point drop since January. Half disapprove of Mr. Obama's handling of the oil spill, including one in four Democrats. …'The results show ‘a really ugly mood and an unhappy electorate,’ said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducts the Journal/NBC poll with GOP pollster Bill McInturff. 'The voters, I think, are just looking for change, and that means bad news for incumbents and in particular for the Democrats.' Yup, it’s that hopeychangey thingy, I guess. http://www.spectator.co.uk/melaniephillips/6102139/hopeydopeyontheropey.thtml added by: crystalman

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston: Back Together!

Fake engagements, court battles, baby mama drama and sabotaging a former V.P. candidate in the press. That was the life of Levi Johnston for the past year. Despite all of that, he and Bristol Palin just got back together! The parents of 18-month-old Tripp are making it work after all, despite breaking off their engagement in March 2009 and a prolonged period of icy relations. Things have thawed considerably between the young parents in recent months, and “Bristol and Levi are still very close,” a source close to Bristol tells U s. The eldest daughter to former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin is “on her own in Anchorage” and she and Levi “spend more time together than most people think.” The expectant parents before the 2008 Republican National Convention . Asked for comment, Bristol Palin would say only that “Levi and me are co-parents of Tripp and we are actively working on being good parents together.” Levi added: “Nothing is more important than Tripp. We are taking active steps to cooperatively raise him, sharing the joys and challenges of parenthood.” Earlier this year, Bristol said Levi was “a stranger to me,” while Johnston told Entertainment Tonight that the Palins were basically trying to cut him out. Things have changed since then, the Bristol source says, noting that “Bristol is a great mom and cares for Tripp; [she] and Levi are raising him together.” We couldn’t be happier. Hope she makes good at that new abstinence pledge, though – we know she can get pregnant , but give it a few years at least.

John Edwards "Love Child" Pictures

The National Enquirer refers to it as, “The photograph that the world has been waiting for!” Everyone, that is, except so-called legitimate news outlets that insist upon ignoring the tabloid’s findings as if they were reports of a Three Dog Night reunion tour. What’s the matter Associated Press, New York Times and Reuter’s? Don’t want to dirty your hands printing tabloid trash about John Edwards? Better that than getting your faces reddened by a supermarket rag. How much do you think the Enquirer “tipped” an enterprising bellhop or hotel maid for this exclusive? Inquiring minds want to know. www.nationalenquirer.com Continue reading
