Mel B Says Hubby Stephen Belafonte And The Nanny He Got Pregant Are Working Together On Her Extortion Sextapes

Mel B’s Former Nanny Is Allegedly Holding Her Sex Tapes The plot is constantly thickening on this Mel B/Stephen Belafonte divorce drama. Now, the nanny that Belafonte impregnated, tried to make Mel’s sister-wife , and eventually forced to have an abortion with a hefty payout of Mel’s cash is in the middle of the fray. TMZ has gotten their hands on more documents from Mel’s divorce, and inside she’s claiming that Stephen and the nanny, named Lorraine Gilles, have actually been teaming up against her for years. As you know, Stephen has been threatening to ruin Mel’s reputation with tapes of the multiple threesomes and lesbian encounters he’s pressured her into over the years. Docs claim that Stephen “would regularly hold up his phone to me and point to a video file and say, ‘It’s just one click away,’” to let Mel know when she was on thin ice with him. Now, she says that he has admitted to her face that Lorraine holds the key to her future and can act as soon as he gives her the word. “He [Stephen] has admitted to me that our former nanny, Lorraine Gilles, maintains possession and control over the media such that I could never have anyone locate the tapes so as to obtain and destroy the same.” I believe that Lorraine Gilles and [Belafonte] are acting in concert to deprive me of my personal belongings by either destroying or disseminating said belongings.” Mel says she and her lawyers have requested the key and location of a storage locker she believes her things are kept in…but Lorraine, who has gotten married and started a new life separate of all this, has completely blown her off. This isht just gets crazier by the day! How and why would Mel put up with this level of insanity in her life for TEN YEARS? Splash

Melanie Brown Accuses Ex-Husband of Abuse, Forced Threesomes and Sex Tape Blackmail

As previously reported, Melanie Brown has filed for divorce from Stephen Belafonte. What prompted the singer and reality show judge to split from her husband of nearly a decade? Some allegedly awful behavior, according to a bombshell new report… Brown’s attorneys were granted a restraining order for their client on Monday, with TMZ having obtained the documents that explain why Mel fears for both her life and the lives of her kids. In her declaration, Mel B tells a truly heinous story of abuse. Among her most sordid and scary allegations against Belafonte: He choked her in November of 2007. It was the night of the Dancing with the Stars finale, Brown asserts, and she was getting ready at home when her then-husband placed both of his hands around her neck and slammed her down on the hardwood floors. Any time she achieved a level of success, Brown alleges, Belafonte would “beat me down to let me know he was in charge.” He punched her in the face in July of 2012. In this detailed incident, Brown says she was a judge on The X Factor when she was leaving to tape a segment with Usher. At this, Belafonte punched his wife a closed fist in the face, splitting open her lip. When she asked how she was supposed to work with the injury, Belafonte supposedly screamed that she should have thought of that before deciding to “flirt with and f-cj Usher.” He punched and shoved her in August of 2012. The day after Brown performed at the closing ceremonies at the London Olympics, Belafonte reportedly punched her again with a closed fist and pushed her down on the carpet. The artist’s face “actually scabbed over the rug burns,” Brown writes, adding that Belafonte then forced her to Tweet that she injured herself by running on 7″ Christian Louboutin heels. He cheated on her with the nanny and got his mistress pregnant. Brown says Stephen told her he wanted to have the baby and “all three of us live together.” She explains that Belafonte eventually demanded the (unnamed) nanny get an abortion. She also claims Stephen paid the nanny in excess of $300,000 of Mel B’s money “for alleged nanny services.” He threatened her life. After Brown downed a bottle of Aspirin in 2014 to deal with “emotional and physical exhaustion,” she tried to call the authorities for help. But she says Belafonte hurled her in the bedroom, locked the door and told her “to die, bitch.” He blackmailed her with sex tapes. Brown says Stephen is in possession sex tapes of her and often threatened to release them to ruin her career. He made her participate in threesomes. Brown added that her soon-to-be ex forced her to “participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women” and he would frequently secretly record the encounters. She says when she attempted to resist these threesome, he’d threaten to release the sex tapes. He made it impossible for her to leave him. Brown says she tried over the years, but Stephen “threatened me with violence and threatened to destroy my life in every possible way … destroy my career and take my kids from me.” He has a gun. It’s either a .38 or .357 magnum and it’s against the law because Belafonte is prohibited from carrying firearms as part of a domestic violence conviction stemming from an incident with another woman years ago. In addition to granted the restraining order in this case, the judge ordered Belafonte to leave the family residence in the Hollywood Hills. He went to the home late Monday afternoon, TMZ reports, packed up most of his belongings, and told a photographer in the vicinity that these allegations are untrue.

Celebrity Cribs: Harry’s Daughter Shari Belafonte Selling $1.26 Million Cliff-Side California Castle! [Photo]

Helluva place to build a crib … Shari Belafonte Selling $1.26 Million California Castle Via Realtor Actress Shari Belafonte, in Cersei Lannister-type fashion, has listed a cliff top castle in BoxCanyon that could very well be used as a setting in George R. R. Martin’s acclaimed fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” Known simply as “The Castle,” Belafonte’s feudal fortress sits surrounded by boulders and natural rock beds on a 1.2-acre parcel presiding over the plains of West Hills, CA. Medieval influence is evident throughout the property. The exterior is lined in blocked concrete with corbeled arches and there is a corner viewing tower. Vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom give off an air of nobility. Listed for $1.26 million, the castle offers a total of three bedrooms, three bathrooms and approximately 3,465 square feet inside. Australian walnut and Arizona river rock flooring can be found throughout and a gourmet kitchen is lined in granite and cherry wood. A row of French doors leads through a breezeway to a covered patio with a deck and pool. The daughter of singer Harry Belafonte, Shari Belafonte got her start as a model and appeared in numerous commercials for Calvin Klein jeans. She later transitioned into acting, appearing in a number of films and television shows over the past three decades, while also releasing two studio albums, “The Eyes of Night” and “Shari.” In addition to her castle in West Hills, records show that Belafonte owns another home in Chatsworth, CA. Harry Belafonte Puts The Waldorf-Astoria On Blast For Their Segregationist Past As “One Of The Most Racist Pieces Of Real Estate In America”

Even in his advanced age Harry Belafonte remains a rebel with a cause… without a pause! Via Page Six reports : Harry Belafonte recalled the racism he suffered in the 1950s as a performer at Waldorf-Astoria during a speech there at the Amy Winehouse Foundation Gala Thursday, saying it “used to be one of the most racist pieces of real estate in America.” Belafonte recounted being hired by Claude Philippe, who was trying to desegregate the hotel. “I went into the hotel and [executives] realized that Belafonte wasn’t, as they suspected, some Frenchman on the loose. They went ape[bleep].” The hotel fired Philippe and tried to cancel Belafonte’s contract, he said, but it was iron-clad. “I did all I could to encourage my friends from Harlem, from Bed-Stuy to come . . . it was just a sea of black folk,” Belafonte continued, explaining they placed him in the Starlight Roof to avoid “racial contamination” in the Empire Room. He ended with how far the Waldorf has come. “I now have the lifetime right to stay in any Hilton hotel anywhere in the world for free if I would just keep my mouth shut and not tell this story.” We love this guy! And SMH @ the Waldorf for actin’ like that about segregation, although we guess we shouldn’t be surprised. WENN

REVIEW: Sing Your Song Doesn’t Need to Tease Greatness Out of Harry Belafonte — It’s Already There

It takes at least two things to make a terrific documentary: A great subject and a light but deft touch. Susanne Rostock’s Sing Your Song , which traces the career of Harry Belafonte with a specific focus on the singer and actor’s social activism, certainly has the former — it’s the latter that’s lacking. But if nothing else, Sing Your Song works as a testament to Belafonte’s drive and dedication to causes well outside the usual goals of simply making money. If you don’t know much about Belafonte beyond the fact that he was that great-looking guy who had a hit in the ’50s with “The Banana Boat Song,” Rostock’s documentary is as good a place as any to start. Sing Your Song is simply conceived and constructed: Rostock (making her directing debut, though she’s been editing documentaries for years) uses on-camera interviews with Belafonte, as well as voice-over narration, to frame a selection of television and news clips and still photographs. The story doesn’t need much embellishment: Belafonte was born in Harlem in 1927, though he spent a portion of his childhood with his grandmother, in Jamaica. He served in the Navy during World War II, and afterward became involved, along with his friend Sidney Poitier, with the American Negro Theater. Belafonte also studied acting at the New School, along with Poitier, Marlon Brando, Walter Matthau and Bernie Schwartz (the last better known as Tony Curtis). He began singing in clubs in New York in the early 1950s. And when he saw Huddie Ledbetter on stage one evening, he was inspired to start researching folk music himself, not just purely American folk music, but that of other countries as well — his 1956 album Calypso was the first LP to sell more than 1 million copies. ( Sing Your Song includes a TV clip of ’50s talk-show host Steve Allen passing one framed gold record after another into Belafonte’s arms.) Belafonte appears to have become a social activist without even knowing it, inspiring outrage in an extremely segregated America without even trying. In Robert Rossen’s 1957 Island in the Sun, his character’s romance with a white woman (played by Joan Fontaine) spurred controversy, though it also boosted ticket sales. Racism was still a huge problem — perhaps even a bigger problem — in 1968, when Petula Clark, performing on television with Belafonte, dared to take his arm. The outcry from advertisers and the public was deafening. Sing Your Song suggests that all of these experiences helped shape Belafonte’s political sensibility, goading him into action instead of just accepting injustice. Rostock includes interviews with significant figures of the civil rights movement, among them Julian Bond, who explains how much it meant to see Belafonte on television in the 1950s: “You’d call your neighbor – ‘Colored on TV!’ It was so rare.” And Belafonte himself explains how he became drawn to the civil rights cause: Martin Luther King Jr. set up a meeting with him, assuring him it wouldn’t take long. Four hours later, Belafonte emerged, ready to do anything necessary to get the point across to the rest of the nation. Sing Your Song is most potent in dealing with Belafonte’s activism during the ’50s and ’60s, becoming murkier and more disorganized when Rostock heads into the Watergate era. It’s not that Belafonte’s work became less visible or less significant at that point, but Rostock presents those years as a blurry laundry list, whirring from Belafonte’s efforts to end hunger in Ethiopia to his anti-Apartheid activities to his involvement in the turmoil in Haiti in the mid-1990s. By the last third, Sing Your Song begins to feel more like a promotional film — promoting activism, if nothing else — than a well-rounded portrait. Still, it’s valuable for both the vintage footage Rostock has collected and for the observations provided by Belafonte, who is as charming, handsome and persuasive in his mid-80s as he ever was. When he speaks about his recent efforts to end gang violence in Los Angeles, he says, “I’m still looking to fix these things I thought we fixed 50 years ago.” Retirement, apparently, isn’t an option.
