The devastating quake triggered a 10-meter tsunami and now threatens Pacific coastal areas, including Hawaii and the West Coast. The star tweeted on Friday that she has designed a special wristband with all of the proceeds going to benefit those affected by the disaster. “I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters,” Gaga wrote. She then shared a link with more information about the red-and-white bracelet on which the words “we pray for Japan” are written along with an image of a hand making Gaga’s signature monster paw gesture. “Little Monsters, show your support for Japan with this ‘We Pray for Japan’ wristband! Choose your price to add an additional donation with your wristband,” the description for the bracelet reads. “All proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts.” Gaga is the latest celebrity to reach out and help shed light on the devastation left by the tragic events in Japan. Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift , Adam Lambert, Diddy and many more sent their prayers to those affected via Twitter. Britney Spears encouraged fans to donate to relief organizations, tweeting , “So tragic. My heart is breaking for Japan.” “Just heard about the huge earthquake and tsunami in Japan,” Kim Kardashian wrote . “My prayers are with everyone in Japan. Lindsay Lohan Tampered With Ankle Monitor Twice

On two occasions, Lindsay Lohan tried to tamper with the SCRAM alcohol monitoring device on her ankle to obstruct its readings, according to new reports. Lohan’s ankle monitor went off after the MTV Movie Awards June 7. This was not a factor in her recent probation violation case, but doesn’t help her cause. The troubled little brat earned a 90-day jail term for disregarding the terms of her probation, stemming from her wild 2007 high-speed chase and DUI arrest. The SCRAM device was a condition of her bail prior to this week’s hearing, not her probation, so the alleged tampering was barred from court proceedings. Not that its omission did her much good. Sources connected with Lindsay Lohan’s case say the actress twice placed a foreign object between her skin and the SCRAM to block its alcohol readings. The night of the MTV Movie Awards, when the ankle monitor went off and showed a .03 blood alcohol level, was one of the times Lindsay tampered with it. Sources say days later Lindsay tried obstructing her SCRAM again, and the data registered by the SCRAM device reveals tampering on both occasions. Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, counters “There are a number of people who were with her who could attest that she never tampered with her bracelet and there are well-documented problems with the SCRAM bracelet and its accuracy.” LOL. Who are these people exactly Shawn? Moreover, why would we believe anyone close to Lindsay freaking Lohan, the type of girl who says f–k you to the judge in tiny print on her fingernails? Lindsay claims, of course, that the profane manicure was just a joke and had nothing to do with the court proceedings. Geez, get off her back already! Hours after the sentence, Lindsay bitterly complained to friends, calling Judge Marsha Revel “a f**king b!tch” who hates her and was out to get her. Lindsay insists she does not have a problem with drugs or alcohol and thinks Revel slapped her with the 90-day sentence to make an example out of her. Works for us if so. Lindsay belongs in …

Happy Birthday, Lindsay Lohan!

Lindsay Denise Lohan was born 24 years ago today in New York City. Even before she got her big break in Disney’s 1998 remake of The Parent Trap at age 11, she was a successful child model destined for psychological problems stardom. Lohan’s career exploded from 2003-2005 thanks to lead roles in Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded , along with two relatively successful pop albums. However, to quote her Wikipedia bio, “her career was interrupted in 2007 as two DUI incidents and three visits to rehabilitation facilities led to several lost movie deals.” Yup, that’s pretty much where we stand today. Happy birthday, Linds! Lindsay Lohan turns 24 today – and not in rehab or jail! Despite more than one warning from people close to her that she is going to die imminently given her lifestyle, the troubled actress has defied the odds. Sure, she’s getting sued about once a week, and had to be freed on $100,000 bail twice in as many months, but relatively speaking, she’s doing really well lately! We wish her the very best on this special day, which we’re sure she will enjoy, ankle monitor be damned. Might as well live it up before the day of reckoning Tuesday. That probation hearing could spell big trouble for her. While Kris Allen received many birthday wishes yesterday, Lee DeWyze recently signed a record deal and Adam Lambert continues to make headlines, let’s not forget about David Archuleta. That former American Idol finalist has carved out a nice career for himself, establishing a rabid fan base, releasing two albums and promoting a book titled “Chords of Strength: A Memoir of Soul, Song and the Power of Perseverance.” Archie performed in Idaho earlier this week and included two new singles in his set list: “Not a Very Good Liar” and “Parachutes and Airplanes.” It’s unclear when David will release a new CD, but expect these songs to be included on it. If you think a photo shoot with Lindsay Lohan nude except for a SCRAM alcohol monitor on her ankle sounds too good to be true … you should get out more. But it might happen! Not that it’s a rare sight. Remember the gun-toting Cinemax-style shoot in April? Exactly. But Lohan is set to strip down to ankle monitor only next month. The former actress and current train wreck is ready to take it all off yet again for the cameras – ankle monitor or not – to promote her 6126 line of handbags. According to L.A. Magazine, Richard Luna of The California Bag (which licenses the 6126 totes) confirmed a new campaign will feature Lindsay Lohan nude . Lindsay Lohan is about to make her clothes SCRAM! Talk about hot . Although there is a contingency plan in place. Luna said that if the SCRAM bracelet became a hindrance: “We’re thinking of having police on hand so we can remove the ankle bracelet for the pictures.” Only in Hollywood. Can you imagine that scene? Police dispatched to remove, then reapply the bracelet after the shoot? Funniest LAPD assignment ever. There is also talk of Lindsay Lohan pictures taken with the alcohol-monitoring device, only to have the court-mandated accessory airbrushed out later on. Hitting department stores this fall, the 6126 (named after Marilyn Monroe’s birthdate) handbags retail for $200-600. A cheaper, sister line, 7286 (Lohan’s birth date), will be available for under $200 at lower-end stores such as Macy’s. They should just call it 420 … or 5150.

We know she lives in denial, but this one is an all-timer. Lindsay Lohan’s excuse, as relayed by her mother Dina, for her SCRAM ankle monitor shockingly going off Sunday at an MTV Movie Awards after-party? “Somebody spilled a drink on her leg , which must have set off the SCRAM bracelet,” Dina told the N.Y. Post . Right. ‘Cause that’s totally how it works. The device measures perspiration in the skin, not alcohol specifically. Even if someone did spill a drink on her leg, how would it distinguish the liquid? Hilarious. Dina adds: “She has done absolutely nothing wrong and shouldn’t have to wear the bracelet in the first place. She is doing absolutely fine.” Okay, Dina. NOTE: A judge ordered her to wear it after she failed to appear in court for probation hearings stemming from her two DUI convictions . Amazingly, this is up there with her best/worst excuses we’ve heard in recent memory, but this is Lindsay Lohan. It’s got legitimate competition for the #1 spot. Here’s a look at some other tall tales she’s told (via E! Online ): 1. The black guy did it : In the 2007 incident she’s still in hot water for, Linds tried to pin her drunk Pacific Coast Highway joyride on her assistant’s pal Dante. 2. Pants on fire : After she claimed “the black kid” was driving that night, cops found cocaine on her. Oh, she borrowed those jeans from a friend! That bitch! 3. Fearing for her life : Lindsay has blamed her reckless (substance-abusing) driving on the fact that cameras follow her every move. She was scared, okay??! 4. Dog ate my passport : Despite a looming court date, Lohan still went yacht hopping in France, missed her flight back, then said someone stole her passport . 5. It was a set up : While in Cannes, a photo surfaced of LiLo and a plate of cocaine. What?! No, those were just fans staging the cocaine pic to sabotage her. Mmm hmm . At this point, Pinocchio couldn’t front on this lunatic.

Lindsay Lohan’s Lawyer Says SCRAM Bracelet Detected Alcohol

As The Associated Press reports, Shawn Chapman Holley issued a statement Tuesday saying the SCRAM bracelet indicated the presence of “a small amount of alcohol” on Sunday night. The troubled actress avoided jail time Tuesday after posting $200,000 bail for violating a court order banning her from consuming alcohol. While the fact that the device was set off may appear problematic, Lohan’s lawyer declined to confirm whether alcohol was indeed present in the actress’ system: “Having just received the report, I am not in a position to speak to its accuracy or validity, however Ms. Lohan maintains that she has been in complete compliance with all of the terms of her probation and her bail.” The SCRAM bracelet detects alcohol consumption through the measurement of the wearer’s perspiration. The device then sends information about the blood alcohol content to Alcohol Monitoring Systems, which manufactures the bracelet. As the bracelet not only detects alcohol from ingesting beverages, wearers are told to avoid consuming products that may also contain alcohol, such as mouthwash, cologne and perfumes. Lohan is familiar with the SCRAM bracelet, as the actress volunteered to wear the device following her 2007 DUI arrest. Lindsay’s estranged father, Michael, also weighed on in the actress’ situation. CNN reports that the elder Lohan said in a written statement that his daughter’s violation demonstrates that Lindsay needs help. “It’s FINALLY clear and obvious that Lindsay has a severe addiction problem,” Michael Lohan asserted in a statement to CNN. “How many mountains do I have to shout from? How much longer do I have to get slammed for trying to bring attention to this horrible situation, to get my daughter the help she needs, because I love and care about her.” The actress took to Twitter to deny that she had violated her probation. “My scram wasn’t set off,” Lohan tweeted. “It’s physically impossible considering I’ve [done] nothing for it to go off-All of these false [reports] are absolutely wrong.” Lohan is due back in court July 6. Ever since a judge stuck it to her Monday and ordered her to stay clean until July 6, Lindsay Lohan’s ankle bracelet has become the subject of great debate. Is there a way of getting around it? Will she try to? Can she stay clean despite ferocious cravings for alcohol and drugs? What will happen if she fails a test? Well, while Lindsay Lohan’s ankle bracelet is pretty much tamper-proof, that doesn’t mean she won’t try to work around it – after all, she’s done so before! A source says the star, who wore one in ’07 under similar circumstances, says she tried to jam the signal with a paper clip and “put tea tree oil on to fool it.” This is something of a red herring, as addicts like Linds “use anything with alcohol to set it off, so they can say, ‘Oh, I wasn’t drinking. It’s my perfume!'” SEXINESS PERSONIFIED : Who doesn’t love high heels, a bikini and a SCRAM device? On Monday, a judge sentenced Lohan to wear the bracelet and undergo random drug tests until her hearing to determine if she violated her probation. She is free on $100,000 bail, and could be jailed if she messes up. That’s serious incentive not to mess with the thing (and to destroy that cocaine pic ). Lindsay may not need to bother, though. There’s a legal loophole she can exploit: Getting crunked off Ambien and water. She’s got a prescription! Holla! Who will prevail in the battle of Lindsay vs. the Ankle Monitor?
