Adrienne Maloof: Going Broke?

Another day, another tale of financial woe for a supposedly Real Housewife. Sources tell Radar Online that Adrienne Maloof and husband Paul Nassif are “cutting back on every aspect of her luxurious lifestyle” in light of recent fiscal problems. “Adrienne and Paul lead an extravagant life, but they’re having money troubles and are looking for ways to scale back their opulence,” the insider says . Due to the competition on these Bravo shows – who can throw the most ridiculous dinner party?!? – many Housewives have suffered through similar circumstances. Teresa Giudice has filed for bankruptcy , for example, and money problems contributed to the suicide of Russell Armstrong. Maloof and Nassif have been forced to “cut back on household staff,” this mole reports, as their “personal fortunes are dwindling.” Excuse us for a moment, while we find a violin to play in the couple’s honor.

Farrah Abraham to Mom & Daughter: PEACE OUT!

“I would never leave Sophia.” – Farrah Abraham on last night’s Teen Mom Despite this proclamation, it appears the youngster did exactly that, leaving her daughter with her mother in Iowa while she “attends school” in Florida. According to Life & Style , the reality star has been in Ft. Lauderdale for months, while her mother, Debra Danielson, is now Sophia’s primary caregiver. Was this move altruistic or purely selfish? Somewhere in the middle? Farrah Abraham said this about her decision to leave Sophia: “I want her [Sophia’s grandmother] to be there for Sophia when I need to take care of my responsibilities, my education and earning an income for both of us.” Not that this wasn’t a difficult decision. In fact, the 20-year-old admits, “I’m tugged in many different ways daily – but I don’t want to limit myself or Sophia.” What do you think? Is Farrah really doing this for Sophia, or was she simply not up to the task of being a mom? She could have gone to school A LITTLE closer to home, or taken beautiful little Sophia with her to Florida. We’re just saying.

Amy Winehouse Would Have Been 28 Today

Today is Amy Winehouse’s 28th birthday. Alas, the singer – like Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain – never made it past 27. She tragically died in her London flat back in July. On this occasion, we reflect on a star whose flame burned out far too soon, a victim of her addictions and certain nameless individuals who fed them. R.I.P. Amy Winehouse (1983-2011) . While we would just as soon forget BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL , Amy’s musical legacy lives on. She transformed British music and influenced countless artists. More here:

A funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday for U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Perry, a giant of a civil rights lawyer who toiled relentlessly to dismantle legal segregation in South Carolina and then went on to become the state’s first black federal judge. Perry died of natural causes Friday just days before his 90th birthday. His body was discovered at his home on Sunday by a family friend. At his death, he was serving as a senior U.S. District Court judge, working every weekday in the downtown Columbia courthouse that was dedicated in April 2004 and bears his name. Oprah Wants You To Attend Her Class & “OWN Your Life” The funeral, which will be held at Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia, is expected to draw hundreds of mourners, including federal judges from across the country, lawyers and judges in South Carolina, current and former law clerks and his many clients, who were involved in sit-ins and demonstrations that marked the 1950s and 1960s civil rights era. Gov. Nikki Haley has ordered flags at the State House to be lowered to half-staff on the day of his funeral, her spokesman Rob Godfrey said. The Rev. Charles Jackson Sr., Brookland’s pastor, will deliver the eulogy, said I.S. Leevy Johnson, owner of Leevy’s Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery at the family plot. “All of his law clerks will serve as active pallbearers and members of the state and federal judiciary will be honorary pallbearers,” said Johnson. The funeral home is working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service to ensure security at the church, which seats 3,500. Perry’s home church, Zion Baptist, could not seat the anticipated crowd.
