Here at Mr. Skin, we just call him a friend. What Carolla really is, is painfully honest. There’s no opinion he won’t share, and when it comes to working with the Weinstein Company or another movie studio of that ilk, he is quick to tell you that after his experience working on his critically acclaimed 2009 film The Hammer , he just isn’t interested. That’s why he’s turning to his fans for help. It shouldn’t shock you this is the route Adam’s taking to fund his next movie Road Hard . When CBS Radio fired him he relied on his fans’ dedication to make his podcast a success. They came through for him in a big way. You could argue that they came through for the entire genre. Maybe crowd funding doesn’t need the boost in 2013 that podcasting did in 2009, but FundAnything.com threw their support behind Adam in hopes that their site could receive a nice bump. Carolla is offering fans everything from an advanced copy of the script to VIP treatment at the Road Hard premier and an Executive Producer credit. Adam Carolla, a comedian best known for The Man Show and whose career has sunk to a point where he appeared this year on Celebrity Apprentice , is in serious hot water for comments made to The New York Post . Simply put, Carolla told the newspaper that women are not funny. “They make you hire a certain number of chicks, and they’re always the least funny on the writing staff,” Carolla said of Hollywood. ‘The reason why you know more funny dudes than funny chicks is that dudes are funnier than chicks. If my daughter has a mediocre sense of humor, I’m just gonna tell her, ‘Be a staff writer for a sitcom. Because they’ll have to hire you, they can’t really fire you, and you don’t have to produce that much. It’ll be awesome.'” Was Carolla worried about backlash when he made this statement? No, he added. “When you’re picking a basketball team, you’ll take the brother over the guy with the yarmulke. Why? Because you’re playing the odds. When it comes to comedy, of course there’s Sarah Silverman, Tina Fey, Kathy Griffin – super-funny chicks. But if you’re playing the odds? No. “If Joy Behar or Sherri Shepherd was a dude, they’d be off TV. They’re not funny enough for dudes. What if Roseanne Barr was a dude? Think we’d know who she was? Honestly.” Of course, the backlash came instantly… and humorously, largely from female comedians. Mainly, he spoke more about Manny Pacman Pacquiao. Examiner.com reports: Adam Carolla starts off his tirade by bashing Manny for not giving blood before a fight. He then proceeds to say that Manny is off “praying to chicken bones” and that you don’t have to respect him because he’s a “fu**ing idiot”. “Someone has to tell him that it doesn’t make a difference.” “Here’s how you know when your country doesn’t have a lot going for it: When everything is about Manny Pacquiao.” “Get a fu**in life as a country” “All you fu**in got is just an illiterate guy who happens to smash other guys in the head better than other people” “Really, you want some guy with brain damage running your country? Why don’t you get your sh*t together?” “All they have over there is Manny Pacquiao and sex stores.” “What happens when Floyd Mayweather beats him?
