Romeo Hunte’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection Is Updating The Definition Of ‘Business Attire’

For his S/S 2020 collection held at Pier 59 Studios on Sunday, Romeo Hunte explored deconstructionism and the definition of “business attire.” Amongst a star-studded crowd, fashion insiders gathered to see what the Brooklyn-based designer would bring to the fashion masses. The juxtaposition of the collection showed Hunte’s desires to blend two worlds together — streetwear and business wear. The collection featured everything from oversized abstract-print blazers over cuffed denim shorts to parka trench coats where one half was a striped blazer and the other half was a denim jacket. Source: Ron Adar / Getty Hunte has always been one to use juxtaposition in his collection, perhaps to show that fashion doesn’t have to be so straight and narrow and that multiple identities can co-exist. While that is understandable and commendable, there was seemingly a disconnect between a few of Hunte’s pieces or rather their pairing, such as a denim shearling-laced jacket overtop an abstract crop top and leather mini skirt. Source: Ron Adar / Getty Some looks, like one male model who walked the runway with a black blazer stitched into jeans one piece, almost would have operated better as separates to co-exist with other pieces in the wardrobe. I constantly reminded myself that this was for the Spring and Summer, but most of the collection felt like a New York block party instead of an accessible way to dress for summer Fridays at the office. Source: Ron Adar / Getty There were models in one-legger fits, the bodice split in half and held together by silver metallic rings and exposed zippers. Again, the idea of merging two very prominent markets is extremely doable, but the main question becomes who is the target consumer or the ideal celebrity clientele. To bring streetwear to the luxury market, as Hunte cites his clientele to be, the fabric choice has to reflect the target market and creatively, a flow should take place. Source: Ron Adar / Getty Don’t get me wrong, there were a few moments of potential with some of his fringe parks, abstract sets, and tailored crop blazers. There was a black-and-white dress that offered promise to the traditional and trendsetter, and he had a bold yellow and a bold red suit make their debut for those of us who love a pop of color. While the pieces individually can be pulled apart to make some interesting connections, I would have loved to see more business-skewed formal sets with a bit of street funk on them to show more accessible opportunities for those who work the 9-5. The Best Part Of Waking Up Is Carlie Jo Howell In Your Cup

You may have never heard of Carlie Jo Howell , but she is the owner of some coffee shop that will most likely put Starbucks out of business. Or at the very least steal 50% of their clientele. As a man, I like to have my coffee black and served by a hot chick in a bikini. And now that I know Carlie exists, I can’t have it any other way. So please open a location in my mom’s basement. I will be the most popular middle-aged man in my neighborhood! » view all 11 photos

RIP Page 3 and their Glamour Models’ Girls of the Day

So the UK Sun, has decided with the rest of the world, that Glamour Models are a waste of fucking low quality time, and giving them attention is really just helping strippers expand their clientele, while increasing their hourly “Lap Dance Rate”…and occasionally landing an unwanted pregnancy, or high profile athlete husband…or even a Rolling Stone…right Katia Ivanova??!? Today was the first day that Page 3 didn’t post topless Glamour models… It’s been 44 years of topless Glamour models…a feature invented by Rupert Murdoch….that had hater feminists were fighting becasue women are more than just breasts, and Page 3 for the last 44 years didn’t agree…and I’m sure those uptight, nazi-like oppresssive censors are pretty happy to know they have won…because they have decided to end the feature, because I guess tits are old news, or maybe advertisers don’t like tits, or maybe we can find tits anywhere we look like the Internet…and there is no place for it in a newspaper… It’s still fucking weak behavior…giving into the evil activists… That said, we have been fans of the Page 3 girls for the last 10 years, or 25% of their existence, we even have an extensive 3 year archive in the stepFORUM …. Cheesy or not, it’s the end of an era, we like tits, and here are some pics…to remember the good times…before these assholes backed down for the freedom they represented all for Ad Dollars… So no more boobs in your paper….Boycott the UK SUN!!!!!…. Here’s a bunch of their tits, in some really shitty photoshoots… To see the rest of the pics CLICK HERE Boycott the UK SUN!!!!!…

Ghostface Killah Sued For Sampling ‘Iron Man’ Theme Song

Wu-Tang Clan rapper has long had a fascination with the superhero. By Gil Kaufman Ghostface Killah Photo: Scott Gries/ Getty Images The Wu-Tang Clan has never been shy about flaunting their influences: from martial arts to La Cosa Nostra, chess and, of course, superhero comics. But member Ghostface Killah’s love of one Marvel icon in particular, Iron Man, is putting the Shaolin rapper in some hot legal water. According to The Hollywood Reporter, composer Jack Urbont is suing Sony Music Entertainment and Ghostface (born Dennis Coles) over claims the rapper illegally sampled his “Iron Man Theme” from the 1960s “The Marvel Super Heroes” TV show. Ghostface, who named his 1996 solo debut Ironman, and whose many aliases include Ironman and the superhero’s alter ego, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (which Ghostface spells Starks), has long had a fascination with the character. But Urbont claims in his suit that two songs on Ghostface’s second album, 2000’s Supreme Clientele copied “verbatim” the “Theme” he wrote for the show. Urbont is an actor and Broadway producer who has also written theme music for everything from daytime soaps such as “General Hospital” to music for “That ’70s Show” and “The View.” The Reporter speculated that Urbont’s suit came so long after the album’s release because the composer “may have grown tired of seeing Killah’s name attached to his music on the Internet.” The character has obviously gotten a much higher profile over the past few years thanks to the two “Iron Man” movies. In fact, one of Ghostface’s songs, “Slept on Tony with Dirt,” appeared in the 2008 “Iron Man” movie and the rapper appears in a deleted scene on the DVD version of the film. The case is described as a typical copyright infringement claim, but the Reporter noted that Urbont’s lawyers also threw in an unfair competition claim. “Defendant Ghostface is also known for the nickname ‘Tony Starks,’ which is a take-off of the name ‘Tony Stark,’ Iron Man’s real name and true identity. In this way, Defendants’ use of Urbont’s ‘Iron Man Theme’ gives them a substantial commercial advantage by linking Ghostface to Iron Man without paying for it,” the allegation reads. A spokesperson for Ghostface could not be reached at press time. Related Artists Ghostface Killah
