Ana Wintour Says Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Lack Taste But Are Controversial Kim Kardashian finally landing on the cover of Vogue magazine after her long-running , highly-publicized feud with editor-in-chief Ana Wintour was certainly a victory in her eyes, but recent comments from Ana on why she really put KimYe on her cover indicate that there might have been more shade than admiration involved on her part. via People Magazine Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s dreams came true with a Vogue magazine spread in April 2014 — just a month before the couple’s jetsetting wedding. In what seemed like the impossible, the fashion glossy got onboard, naming them #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple on its cover. Seven months later (and on the conveniently timed heels of Kardashian’s Internet-breaking nude spread with Paper magazine), editor Anna Wintour opened up about the controversial Kimye cover in a conversation series at the Metropolitan Museum of New York on Monday, Nov. 17, with former CNN journalist Alina Cho. “The first celebrity that I put on the cover of Vogue was Madonna, and that was considered completely controversial at that time, too. Now she’s part of the establishment. I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine! Nobody would talk about us. It’s very important that people do talk about us.” Hmmmmm. Do you think Ana was being shady with her comments? WENN

It all sounds like a bunch of chauvinist shit-shoveling to me, but your mileage may vary. All I know is that newly, criminally deposed NYC news anchor Sue Simmons could turn this trend around in about a week flat with the right agent. Let’s go, Sue!
