Latest peek at the saga’s finale offers up first looks at newbies Lee Pace, Rami Malek and more. By Amy Wilkinson Vampires in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” Photo: Jacob Black may have said it best: “A lot of red eyes around here.” The latest teaser trailer for ” The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 ” hit the Web Wednesday (June 20), and it’s brimming with a bounty of new bloodsuckers descending upon Forks to defend the Cullen clan (including newborn Renesmee) against the villainous Volturi. Let’s take a closer look at the saga’s fresh blood. Maggie Grace as Irina OK, this isn’t exactly our first glimpse of the Denali coven member, as she made a brief appearance at Bella and Edward’s nuptials during “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” But her role in the series finale is profound enough to warrant a mention. You see, it’s Irina who tells the Volturi that the Cullens have supposedly created an immortal child — the result of biting a youngster, freezing them in a perpetual adolescence. Of course, we know that Renesmee is a rare vampire-human hybrid, having been conceived by Bella and Edward. The Volturi don’t know that, though, so they set off to exact punishment for the high crime. Lee Pace as Garrett No, that isn’t Mark Wahlberg reprising his “Rock Star” role, it’s “Pushing Daisies” actor Lee Pace looking all kinds of scruffy as nomadic vampire Garrett. (No room for a blow-dryer on the road, I guess!) Unlike many of the assembled immortals, Garrett doesn’t have a special talent — except maybe fortitude, as his ability to endure fellow vampire Kate’s powers stops her from attacking the Volturi and inciting a blood bath. In the trailer, it looks as though Garrett may have already aligned himself with the Denali coven before the events of “Breaking Dawn,” which would be a departure from Stephenie Meyer’s source material. Rami Malek as Benjamin One of the more intriguing moments from the latest look is Benjamin’s rather damp display of talent. The Egyptian coven member can control the elements and does so in grand fashion, bending a swath of water to his will. Like Bella, Benjamin spends a great deal of time during “Part 2” practicing and harnessing his abilities for use against the Volturi. Joe Anderson as Alistair The blond bloodsucker you see sparingly throughout the trailer is English vamp Alistair, a longtime friend of Carlisle Cullen. Alistair spends most of his time sulking in the attic and disappears before the Volturi arrive. Seeing as he gets a few good looks here, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think he might stick around for the final face-off in this iteration. Judith Shekoni as Zafrina and Tracey Heggins as Senna Zafrina and Senna, along with maker Kachiri, comprise the Amazon coven. Zafrina boasts the ability to create vivid illusions and spends time entertaining Renesmee with her mental images. But it’s Kachiri (not seen in the trailer) who helps Alice and Jasper track down important immortal-children evidence to present to the Volturi in the Cullens’ defense. “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” hits theaters November 16. ‘Twilight’ Tuesday looks forward to all the vampires making their debut in the November 2012 finale. By Kara Warner Dakota Fanning as a Volturi in “New Moon” Photo: Summit Entertainment Looking ahead to November, when we finally get to see the end of the “Twilight” franchise in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” there are many things to get excited about. For starters, Bella is now a vampire, Renesmee is growing up and the Volturi are back. But what I am most looking forward to are all the fresh vampires. There are so many new characters, not to mention the fun involved in the adventurous search for allies, getting the group together, bonding over things like eating habits and fighting against the Volturi. Therefore, in the spirit of MTV Movies’ Ones to Watch in 2012 , this “Twilight” Tuesday is dedicated to the ones to watch in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” — which if you didn’t already know, is also a big part of our MTV Movie Brawl 2012 . Before I get to my favorite new additions, “Twilight” vampire expert and star Peter Facinelli had these kind words to say about a few of his new castmates when MTV News caught up with him: “There’s Maggie Grace; she’s fantastic. Christian Camargo is fantastic and Juilliard-trained. I always wish I went to Juilliard, so when I meet people from Juilliard, I’m always jealous,” he said. “Mia Maestro — there’s so many talented people that were tapped. It’s a much larger cast.” Clearly, Facinelli has a thing for the Denali coven, which we got a glimpse of in “Part 1” during Bella and Edward’s wedding. The Denali clan is another group of vegetarian vamps consisting of Irina (Grace), former Volturi Eleazar (Camargo) and his multilingual mate Carmen (Maestro). The Denalis are, indeed, a nice bunch. My personal favorite new vampire, however, is Garrett, the American nomad played by charming and adorable actor Lee Pace (“Pushing Daisies,” “The Fall”). I remember liking him from the moment Stephenie Meyer introduced him, due to the 6-foot-2 factor, his curiosity and his adventurous nature. His character has a nice arc, which I’ll avoid spoiling fully here, and Pace is the absolute perfect actor to play him. Fellow fan and creator of the Kristen Stewart Hot Bodyguard Facebook page Sarah M. also brought up JD Pardo, who plays the other vamp/human hybrid Nahuel. “He was super nice at the BD1 premiere & ain’t too hard on the eyes either!” she tweeted . What do you think, “Twilight” fans? Who are other ones to watch in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2”? Let us know in the comments or tweet me @karawarner! Seasoned Brooklyn MC and ‘Lord, Lord, Lord’ collaborator confirms he’s joining Yeezy’s label in latest issue of XXL. By Vanessa Denis Mos Def Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ Getty Images Kanye West has expanded his roster again, and like the most recent addition to his G.O.O.D. Music label, Pusha T, the new signing is another familiar face: seasoned hip-hop favorite Mos Def . The Brooklyn MC and West talk about the deal and break down their musical relationship in the October issue of XXL, which comes out on Tuesday and features a Kanye cover story. And Mos Def makes an appearance on West’s G.O.O.D. Friday single “Lord, Lord, Lord,” along with Swizz Beatz, Raekwon and singer Charlie Wilson. Mos’ decision to join G.O.O.D. Music follows the release of his last album, The Ecstatic, on indie label Downtown Records in 2009. The rapper/actor and Kanye first collaborated on the Chicago MC’s College Dropout, for “Two Words,” and then again on “Drunk and Hot Girls” from Graduation. On “Lord, Lord, Lord,” Mos Def opens the slow-moving track. “Cool ruler standing still, sweatin’ through the shade,” Mos says. “He knew those lights only grew bright to fade/ Dead-wrong pageantry, lottery and games/ Sleight of hand provided by extravagant and fake.” With the signing of Mos Def, West continues his movement, pulling in MCs — often with a devoted following outside the mainstream — who come ready to break down creative barriers. Back in July, Pusha wouldn’t confirm or deny that he’d signed with G.O.O.D: “I mean, you know. I been to Hawaii. Hawaii is a nice place. Good music is made down there, ya know. So, yeah, I was there. I can’t say too much about that.” Of course, that’s no longer a mystery. Pusha confirmed to MTV News at this year’s VMAs that he was onboard with Kanye. The only question remaining is who else will be popping up on the bubbling label. What do you think of Kanye bringing Mos Def into his G.O.O.D. Music fold? Tell us in the comments! ‘Lost’ and ‘Taken’ actress will play a ‘vegetarian’ vampire who turns on the Cullens. By Kara Warner Maggie Grace Photo: Katy Winn/ Getty Images With production set to begin very soon, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1” continues to add members to its already-crowded cast. Last month we learned that “The Pacific” actor Rami Malek had joined the “Dawn” ranks in the role of Egyptian vampire Benjamin. On Monday (September 27), it was reported that “Lost” and “Taken” actress Maggie Grace has signed on to play “vegetarian” vampire Irina. A rep from Summit Entertainment confirmed the casting to MTV News, and the original story appeared first on Deadline.com . So who is Irina? Those familiar with Stephenie Meyer’s source material will recall that she is a member of the Denali coven, one of the only other “vegetarian” vampire covens and allies with the Cullens — that is, until Irina blames the family for the death of her former lover, Laurent, and vengefully reveals a Cullen family secret to the Volturi. The other “Dawn” newbie, Benjamin, is a member of the Egyptian coven who comes to help Bella and the Cullens battle the Volturi. Benjamin is a young vamp blessed with the special ability of controlling the elements (
