Justin Bieber And Chris Brown Team Up For Song

Brown tweeted that the song will drop ‘at the top of the NEW YEAR!!!’ By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ Getty Images Justin Bieber has never shied away from a good collaboration. At the ripe old age of 16, the singer has worked with everyone from Sean Kingston and Ludacris to Kanye West and Raekwon. Now it looks like he has found a new collaborator: Chris Brown tweeted that he and the Biebs plan to drop a joint song this weekend. It’s unclear whose album the song is for, but Brown seemed enthusiastic about the collabo. “ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!!” Brown teased. “2011.” Bieber had hinted at a possible collabo with Brown back in October on his Twitter , sharing a thinly veiled message with his fans about a duet with the “Deuces” singer. “Kinda hyped rt now. for a new single teamed up with one of my friends and an artist I used to sing covers of on youtube. BIG RECORD. SMASH!!” He then tweeted a video of himself covering Brown’s “With You.” After Brown’s assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, the singer hit a personal and professional low. But he seems to be making his way back into the spotlight, with Keri Hilson co-signing his return . “People are already putting [Brown] back in their good graces, ’cause they see his remorse,” Hilson told MTV News. “And I know people are saying, ‘Is he really a man? You have him on your album.’ I mean, yeah. To me, a man is someone, you don’t go backwards in life. You learn from your mistakes, and you don’t do it again. You show remorse, and you move on. You move forward onto bigger and better things. That’s a man trait.” Meanwhile, Bieber has been busy working on new music. MTV News recently caught up with him while he was hanging with Diddy in the studio , and both he and Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox have confirmed that they’re working on new music together for the pop star’s 2011 album. Young Jeezy’s Manager Denies Rapper Was Arrested

Jeezy was reportedly taken into custody in the Bahamas over the weekend. By Hillary Crosley Young Jeezy (file) Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ Getty Images Young Jeezy ‘s manager, Demetrius Ellerbee, has denied a report that the rapper was arrested in the Bahamas on Saturday. “It’s not true,” Ellerbee told MTV News. According to Bahamian newspaper The Tribune , Jeezy was on his way to a show in an area of the island called New Providence when he was arrested by local officials. While the reason for his arrest was not specified, the paper says the rapper wasn’t held for very long. “He was here with us a short while. He passed through the station briefly on Saturday,” said Superintendent Ashton Greenslade, an officer at the Wulff Road station. “He was booked in here and taken to CDU (Central Detective Unit).” A Tribune source surmised that the Atlanta MC was simply “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Elsewhere, Rick Ross recently responded to what he took as a dis from Young Jeezy in The Source magazine, stemming from the pair’s beef regarding Ross’ “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast).” Following the release of the Bawse’s single, Jeezy dropped his own “B.M.F.” freestyle and the pair have been on the outs since. “It’s not like I’m in Miami and you in New York,” said Ross. “We see each other. That’s the only issue I had. It was sideways. So I made a record, ‘Summer’s Mine,’ just to [let him know], if we gonna play that sport, let’s put it on the table like men. If it was just a freestyle that the world took the wrong way, leave it alone. That’s how I took it.” Related Artists Young Jeezy

My fans just kind of spoil me.” The singer talked about his 2011 3-D flick, “Never Say Never,” saying that “it really shows me.” And he dished about a recent dinner outing with Rihanna . “I don’t know. Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday Leaks Online

Rapper’s debut LP hits Web less than a week early. By Jayson Rodriguez Nicki Minaj Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ WireImage Pink Friday came even earlier than expected. Nicki Minaj’s debut album leaked online on Wednesday (November 17), less than a week before its scheduled release date. The project was originally slated to arrive on Friday (November 19) before shifting to November 23 and then finally settling on November 22. The Pink Friday tracks floating on the Web include collaborations between Nicki Minaj and A-list artist like Kanye West, Rihanna and Drake . On “Fly,” featuring Rihanna and produced by J.R. Rotem (Sean Kingston, Nicole Scherzinger), Nicki Minaj rhymes about chasing dreams over the slow, tickling number. “Such a heavy burden placed upon me,” Nicki raps. “But when you go hard, you name becomes yays, Yankee stadium with Jays and Kanyes.” “This song is a female empowerment song,” the female lyricist wrote earlier this week in her Pink Friday Diaries Facebook journal. “But then again, it’s not specific to just women. It speaks about flying, soaring high in the face of every single solitary adversity that comes your way. I speak about how the media has attempted to box me in and how that has made me feel suffocated.” The Harajuku Barbie and new GQ Man of the Year Drake trade rhymes on “Moment 4 Life,” where the Toronto lyricist continues to stoke the flames of the two Lil Wayne prot

Mos Def Signs With Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music

Seasoned Brooklyn MC and ‘Lord, Lord, Lord’ collaborator confirms he’s joining Yeezy’s label in latest issue of XXL. By Vanessa Denis Mos Def Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ Getty Images Kanye West has expanded his roster again, and like the most recent addition to his G.O.O.D. Music label, Pusha T, the new signing is another familiar face: seasoned hip-hop favorite Mos Def . The Brooklyn MC and West talk about the deal and break down their musical relationship in the October issue of XXL, which comes out on Tuesday and features a Kanye cover story. And Mos Def makes an appearance on West’s G.O.O.D. Friday single “Lord, Lord, Lord,” along with Swizz Beatz, Raekwon and singer Charlie Wilson. Mos’ decision to join G.O.O.D. Music follows the release of his last album, The Ecstatic, on indie label Downtown Records in 2009. The rapper/actor and Kanye first collaborated on the Chicago MC’s College Dropout, for “Two Words,” and then again on “Drunk and Hot Girls” from Graduation. On “Lord, Lord, Lord,” Mos Def opens the slow-moving track. “Cool ruler standing still, sweatin’ through the shade,” Mos says. “He knew those lights only grew bright to fade/ Dead-wrong pageantry, lottery and games/ Sleight of hand provided by extravagant and fake.” With the signing of Mos Def, West continues his movement, pulling in MCs — often with a devoted following outside the mainstream — who come ready to break down creative barriers. Back in July, Pusha wouldn’t confirm or deny that he’d signed with G.O.O.D: “I mean, you know. I been to Hawaii. Hawaii is a nice place. Good music is made down there, ya know. So, yeah, I was there. I can’t say too much about that.” Of course, that’s no longer a mystery. Pusha confirmed to MTV News at this year’s VMAs that he was onboard with Kanye. The only question remaining is who else will be popping up on the bubbling label. What do you think of Kanye bringing Mos Def into his G.O.O.D. Music fold? Tell us in the comments! ‘Going The Distance’ Stars Share Romantic Gestures Gone Awry

Drew Barrymore recalls an ex’s unsuccessful love letter, while Justin Long’s flower purchase backfires. By Kara Warner Justin Long and Drew Barrymore Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images The topic of love and relationships is a loaded one. It’s full of drama, angst, joy — basically a smorgasbord of complex emotions that, no matter how serious and life-changing, can also be rife for comedic interpretation. One such interpretation is Drew Barrymore and Justin Long’s R-rated romp “Going the Distance,” which opens Friday. In the film, the are-they-or-aren’t-they-dating Barrymore and Long play a new couple who try to make a long-distance relationship work. There are expensive plane tickets, romantic gestures, arguments, etc. Speaking to the romantic gestures, because there are a few in the film, we asked Barrymore and Long if they had ever had one backfire. “I once got sent an e-mail that was written in a sarcastic tone, but the person buried the lead and didn’t say he was joking,” Barrymore said of an ex’s attempt at a love letter. “So everything in it was as horrible as you can imagine. That wasn’t funny. That was a really poorly executed romantic gesture. I remember another boyfriend, he bought me a cameo [silhouette pendant], and he said it reminded him of me. And I thought, ‘This old, silhouetted lady reminds you of me? Huh. OK.’ ” Long (who was not the giver of the aforementioned cameo) revealed that his good-intentions-gone-bad gesture involved an unfortunate mix-up of an ex’s preference in flowers. “This was actually a Valentine’s Day thing,” he said. “I went to the florist, and I saw these amazing orchids. There were, like, six orchids. It was tons of money … but I thought, ‘I’m going to do it. These are beautiful, and I’m pretty sure this person loves orchids,’ ” Long recalled. “I brought them home. She was always so appreciative of just the smallest gestures I did, so I was like, ‘Her head’s going to explode.’ ” Unfortunately for Long, his memory was a little skewed. “She was like [ he winces ] ‘I … oh … thank you,’ ” Long re-enacted. “She had this story that was like a really troubling, traumatic experience that had happened to her that involved orchids that she had told me. I knew there was something with orchids, I just didn’t remember that it was an awful association. It was bad. She was molested by a guy named Fred Orchid,” he joked. Justin Bieber Fans Hope To Squeeze Into His 3-D Movie At NYC Show

‘I’ll probably cry if I see myself,’ one die-hard says of Biebs’ upcoming flick, which is filming at Madison Square Garden concert. By Peter de Saint Phalle Justin Bieber (file) Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/ Getty Images NEW YORK — A sea of tween girls clad in purple flooded the steps of Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night (August 31) as Justin Bieber fans made their way into the sold-out arena. It was no secret that the show was going to be a special one. Director John Chu previously revealed that much of the upcoming Justin Bieber 3-D movie would be filmed during the night’s performance. Fans traveled far and wide with hopes of making it onscreen. “Me and my friend drove from Virginia for five hours,” Erin Sweeney told MTV News. “Since I’ll see [the 3-D film] in the theaters, I’ll probably cry if I see myself.” When fans were asked whether Biebs had a shot at winning Best New Artist at the upcoming VMAs , most were pretty confident in the teen dream — especially since fan voting is involved. “Most of the fans he has are really big fans,” Bailey Solomons reasoned. “So if they vote for him, they’ll vote for him every single day, so he has a good chance.” Some Bieber enthusiasts proved you did not have to be between the ages of 8 and 18 to enjoy Bieber’s music. “Love has no age,” Amanda Farina said when asked if she had Bieber fever. “We caught it. We heard the song on the radio, and then suddenly we bought it on iTunes, and then it was a phenomenon. It doesn’t matter how old we are. We just love him.” How excited would you be to end up in Bieber’s 3-D movie? Let us know in the comments! Related Photos Justin Bieber Brings His My World Tour To NYC Related Artists Justin Bieber
