Duggar Family "Does Not Approve" of Extended Family Members’ Lifestyle, Sources Say

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar do not approve of their daughter-in-law Anna Duggar’s sister Susanna Keller and her liberal lifestyle, according to reports. Essentially, Susanna Keller has been ostracized from the family, and if they do come face-to-face with her, the single mom must follow a set of rules. A friend of the 22-year-old mother of Noelle, nearly 2, says the family was upset when the little girl started dancing at a Duggar family event last summer. While the younger Duggar siblings were singing in a Texas hotel room, Noelle began to dance. “She was dancing around, it was so adorable,” the friend says. But not to the 19 Kids and Counting clan: “The Duggars started laughing nervously. It was obvious that they felt very uncomfortable with me allowing her to dance.” The Duggars deemed dancing “too sensual.” Susanna’s parents Mike and Suzette have accepted their daughter’s decision to live a modern life as a single mother, unlike the pregnant Anna Duggar . Anna, who married Josh Duggar in 2009 and is now expecting their fourth child together, adheres to the Duggars strict Christian fundamentalist values. In other words … none of this stuff: 9 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family 1. Dates Without Chaperones The Duggar parents often accompany their kids on dates in order to maintain “accountability” and “keep things from going in the wrong direction,” per Jim Bob. The girls are fine with this, as being alone with men puts them in grave “moral danger.” When the parents aren’t available, their older siblings will often tag along, making every date a group date and a family affair. According to insiders, the sisters rarely talk, but got together over Thanksgiving weekend at their parents’ Florida home, when their personalities clashed. Apparently, Susanna made plans to go on a date with a man she knew from church as a teenager, and Anna was upset because she doesn’t approve of dating. The Duggar family dating rules , as many who watch 19 Kids and Counting online know well, basically stipulate that there is no dating. Only “courting.” Also, the man happened to be nine years older and divorced, which didn’t help matters. “Anna had a terrible time with it,” the family insider tells Radar . Anna “begged Susanna not to go, and even tried to pay her to cancel the date,” but a headstrong Susanna met up with the man despite her pleas. The most awkward part? “When she got back, Anna acted like nothing had happened,” the source recalls. “She said, ‘Oh, I didn’t even realize you were gone!’” The Duggar family, you may recall, once welcomed Susanna with open arms, but shunned her when she left home at 18 and got pregnant out of wedlock. She now balances a full-time job at a chemistry company with raising her daughter on her own. Relations with Anna and family remain dicey at best. 13 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals 1. Jessa Gets Strapped Jessa Duggar and her then-boyfriend Ben Seewald began courting controversy almost from the moment they started dating, posing for photos like this one – a picture that now seems tame considering what they’ve been stirring up more recently.

Manti Te’o to NFL Opponents: Shut Up About My Fake Girlfriend!

San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o is so sick of other NFL stars harassing him about the fake girlfriend scandal he was embroiled in the year before last. Of course, Te’o doth protest too much, begging two obvious points: Yes, Manti was catfished, but when your online “girlfriend” supposedly dies and you milk the story for publicity, well, karma will get you. The more you react, well, the more people will needle you. Manti Te’o Speaks on Girlfriend The Catfisherman Te’o admits he was harassed about the situation “a few times” last season, but hoped people would move on. Suffice it to say, they have not done so. Just last weekend, the San Francisco 49ers’ Anthony Davis broached the Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax scandal, and let’s just say it didn’t go over well. “Asked Manti Te’o about his imaginary girlfriend last night and he snapped. lol I thought that was hilarious,” Davis tweeted after the two teams played. In response, “I told him, ‘Find a new joke,'” Te’o claims. We wouldn’t hold our breath if we were him. Manti Te’o Auto-Tune Manti was the victim of a prank in which a guy claiming to be a girl “dated” him online, but he then lied to the media in an effort to cover the whole thing up. Ronaiah Tuiasosopo (above, right) eventually admitted that he punked Manti, and not for any real reason other than he could, and well, the rest is history. Te’o saw his NFL draft stock tank a bit in the wake of the subsequent character issues this raised, but has secured a roster spot in the pros with the Chargers. Clearly he wishes people would move on, but the jokes are gonna keep coming either way. Better to let your play do the talking and ignore ’em, no? 14 Scandalous Sports Stories 1. LIAR! Lance Armstrong denied it and denied it, but he eventually came clean: yes, he cheated to win every Tour de France.

Racist Or Nah? AIG Insurance CEO Compares Outrage Over Poooor Rich Wall Street Execs Accepting Big Bonuses To Slave Lynchings In The South

Cry us a fawking river… AIG CEO Compares Wall Street Exec Bonus Outrage To Slave Lynchings Another day, another filthy rich right-winger putting his foot in his mouth. This time the foolery comes courtesy of AIG Insurance CEO Bob Benmosche. via Think Progress In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, AIG CEO Bob Benmosche came out with the worst analogy for the 2009 financial crisis. Benmosche compared public outrage over AIG’s bonuses to the Deep South lynching African-Americans. “It was just as bad and just as wrong,” he said, because employees were used to a certain way of living: “Now you have these bright young people [in the financial-products unit] who had nothing to do with [the bad bets that hurt the company.] … They understand the derivatives very well; they understand the complexity. … They’re all scared. They [had made] good livings. They probably lived beyond their means. …They aren’t going to stay there for nothing. The uproar over bonuses “was intended to stir public anger, to get everybody out there with their pitch forks and their hangman nooses, and all that–sort of like what we did in the Deep South [decades ago]. And I think it was just as bad and just as wrong.” The nerve of this dude to compare the “struggle” that his already-privileged staff is going through to that of slaves in the south who LOST THEIR LIVES. Sounds to us like he deserves all the backlash he gets. Continue reading

Denver Broncos cornerback Quentin Jammer, who played five seasons with Oliver in San Diego, including two when they started together in the Chargers’ secondary, said he was shocked to learn of Oliver’s death. “He was a good friend of mine. Great guy. Great guy,” Jammer told USA TODAY Sports. “I mean, the early reports were that he committed suicide, and he just didn’t seem like that type of guy. You never know what somebody is going through, what’s going on in somebody’s life.” Unfortunately, his ex-teammate hit the nail on the head. Ryan Leaf Arrested for Second Time in Three Days

Ryan Leaf is in major trouble with the law. Again. Just two days after being arrested for stealing prescription pain medication , the former number-two overall draft pick was booked this morning in Montana on new counts of burglary, theft and criminal possession of dangerous drugs. The latest arrest is “based on a burglary that happened yesterday afternoon after he bailed out,” Central Montana Drug Task Force Commander Chris Hickman told reporters today. Leaf – who had been scheduled for a hearing in court today based on Friday’s charges, which were based on the discovery of 28 Oxycodone pills in his pickup truck and the testimony from an acquaintance that Leaf broke into his residence to acquire them – is also in violation of his probation (stemming from a 2009 arrest) and cannot be released from jail at the moment. The former quarterback was a standout at Washington University and was drafted second (behind Peyton Manning) by the San Diego Chargers in 1998. He never came close to fulfilling his promise and was out of the league by 2001.
