Ray J’s Magical Hat Sparks Hilarious #RayJHatChallenge

Source: VH1 / Instagram Ray J and his former co-star (Google it) Kim Kardashian have something in common at the moment. They have both been the subject hilarious jokes on the internet in the same week. During Monday’s (August 6th) episode of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood , a viewer noticed that Ray J’s hat had a mind of its own. This season of the famed reality show is already off to the races because of Safaree and his manhood breaking up happy homes. Detective Ray J tried his best to get to the situation and as Samuels tip-toed around the answer the “One Wish” singer’s hat seemed to reflect his frustration magically changing positions on Ray J’s head. He joked that the hat is currently in contract negotiations and could be getting a more significant role in upcoming episodes on the reality show. For Discussion: Should Teachers Be Allowed To Talk About Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, And Bisexual Issues In Public Schools??

Would you want your little one learning the ins and outs of gay life in elementary school?? The school board representing Minnesota’s largest school district on Monday night will consider scrapping a controversial policy requiring teachers not to discuss homosexuality in school. The Anoka-Hennepin School District’s sexual orientation curriculum policy, adopted in 2009, bars teachers from taking a position on homosexuality in the classroom and says such matters are best addressed outside of school. It’s become known as the neutrality policy. During Monday night’s hearing, the school board will propose replacing that policy with a “controversial topics curriculum policy” that, according to the proposed wording, “recognizes the importance of providing information about controversial topics in a democracy.” However, it states that teachers and staff “shall not advocate personal beliefs or opinions” regarding those controversial topics — which are not named — in the classroom. It’s one of many changes being considered to the district’s harassment, violence, and discrimination policy and its religious activities policy. The so-called “neutrality policy” triggered a federal lawsuit by students who allege the policy creates a toxic environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender students — or students perceived to be LGBT. ‘Dancing With The Stars’: Chynna Phillips Can’t Hold On

Wilson Phillips singer joined in the bottom by reality star Rob Kardashian. By Kelley L. Carter Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani Photo: ABC On Tuesday night’s (October 11) “Dancing With the Stars,” the final two couples came down to Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke and Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani. Although she was a high-scorer early in the competition, it was the Wilson Phillips singer’s name called to head home. During Monday’s performance show, Phillips blanked and forgot her routine, and the judges — although they were fans of her work in weeks prior — had to score her lower because of it. It was movie theme week, and Phillips and Dovolani did the tango to the “Mission Impossible” song. The judges noted the mistakes Phillips made in her routine, but they were merciful in their comments, saying what she did right was beautiful and that she didn’t lose her composure. “The challenge is for the professionals,” head judge Len Goodman said after the botched routine. “They’ve got to maintain the character of the dance but still show us a little bit of the flavor of the film. I thought you got it just about right. You lost it, you went wrong, you didn’t know where you were and you panicked. I’m sure had you nailed it, it was going to be great. Unfortunately, there were a lot of mistakes.” Once her name was called, Phillips didn’t appear too shocked, considering her mistakes. “I’m disappointed, I’m sad, but I have to take responsibility. I messed up,” she said. “I have an amazing partner. I love you, Tony. You’re amazing. He’s been there for me 100 percent the entire way. I’m really grateful to have been on the show. Thank you for everyone who voted for me.” Dovolani said he tried to save his partner once he noticed she was blanking. Still, he reiterated that he was proud of her. “The first thing that crossed my mind was to try to take care of her,” he said. “It’s a live show; things happen. She finished the routine.” Were you sad to see Chynna go? Let us know in the comments.

MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer Pleads for Government to Force Environmentalism

During Monday's12PM ET hour on MSNBC, anchor Contessa Brewer helped promote the network's “Green is Progress” week by demanding greater government intervention to force people to follow an environmentalist agenda: “Until government says these are the standards that everyone has to aspire to, we're not really making progress.” Brewer made the comments while interviewing Practically Green CEO Susan Hunt Stevens and introduced the segment by touting the latest poll numbers on environmental awareness: “87% of Americans say they personally care about protecting the environment. 75% of Americans believe projects that protect the environment could also give us an economic boost….38% say the government should be most responsible for protecting the environment.” However, she fretted people weren't making enough sacrifices: “…everybody says in a survey, 'oh, do you want to live greener? Do you personally care about the environment?' Yes. 'Are you willing to spend 25 cents extra in a federal gas tax that would definitely help improve the use of fuel?' Not so much.” View video below read more
