Angela Simmons’ NYC Baby Shower The time for Angela Simmons’ bouncing baby boy is drawing nearer…so of course it’s time for a party! The reality diva celebrated the upcoming arrival of her son with an extra sweet baby blue theme, treating guests to a layout of sweets, candies, signature cocktails, and fried snacks at Sugar Factory NYC. Via E!online : Angela Simmons celebrated the anticipated arrival of her baby boy in the sweetest way possible. The 28-year-old Growing Up Hip Hop star and daughter of rapper Rev Run gathered with all of her nearest and dearest today at Sugar Factory in New York City for one gorgeous baby shower. Angela walked in extremely happy and so excited to see her friends and close family that were there to celebrate. The tables were decorated with various shades of blue and silver ribbons, and included some small centerpieces on the tables, which were accented with hydrangeas from Diva Blooms. The simple yet classy affair included friends and family members, who were all up and mingling with one another. When they weren’t catching up with the pregnant star, taking selfies, or making use of the Tap Snap and DJ Zapp photo booth, the attendees enjoyed a feast of food. Guests were served fried shrimp, fries, wings, vegetable and dip, chicken fingers, as well as macaroni and cheese balls. Yes, we’re suddenly hungry, too. They also indulged in Sugar Factory’s signature cocktails, and, of course, their desserts. They had a plate of different treats, including chic cakes, candies and pastries, as well as the main cake, which was made by Sweet Grace Cake Designs. Cute! Congrats to Angela and her mystery boo . How did a couple of huge celebrities – possibly even the hottest couple ever – like Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively possibly get married in secret? The answer to that question is several-fold: 1. Location, location, location. Charleston, S.C., where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds married Sunday night, is about as far from L.A. as you can get. 2. Local vendors. An E! source says in recent few months, “celebrities have been deliberately going with non-Hollywood planners, caterers and locations.” Moreover, “In the South, wedding planners are used to being hush-hush and low-key about events no matter what. It’s just how they do things.” 3. NDAs. This is just speculation, but stars often have any staff sign very strict non-disclosure agreements, punishable by seven-figure fines. 4. Marriage license maneuvering. An employee working at Charleston County clerk’s office said straight up that, “We didn’t do Blake Lively.” However, in L.A. County and other locations, you can get a marriage license from a notary public; town clerks won’t receive a copy for 1-2 weeks. If Lively and Reynolds did so within a few days of their wedding, which is likely, no one except the one notary would know such a license existed. 5. Secrecy. Even some guests didn’t know what they were in for, having been told that they were headed to a belated birthday celebration for Lively. She turned 25 on August 25. Ryan and Blake are notoriously private with their love lives in general, too. They don’t flaunt it, no one asks and no one knows details. That includes her Gossip Girl co-star and ex-boyfriend, Penn Badgley. Asked for details, he said, “I’ve only heard what you guys have heard.” Penn did say he’s extremely happy for Blake, of course. Why Does Liam Hemsworth Love Miley Cyrus?

Liam Hemsworth is set to marry Miley Cyrus. And maybe even have the singer’s baby . What, exactly has drawn the Australian actor to this young mega star? “She’s extremely happy and has a sense of humor about life,” Hemsworth tells InStyle . “Happy, positive, fun – those qualities are good in anyone.” Liam also says he adores Miley’s “Southern accent” and “the South in general. There’s a lot of deep-fried food, and the people really remind me of Australians – very laid back.” The couple is yet to set a date for its nuptials… but perhaps the ceremony will take place in New York. If only for the food options. “I love the New York-style thin crust,” Liam tells the magazine. “I don’t cook that much anymore, but I like doing stir-fry and pastas, or I’ll coat shrimp with shredded coconut and fry them in coconut oil.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Lily Allen & Sam Cooper: Engaged!

A terrible 2010 has reportedly ended in joyous fashion for Lily Allen: the British singer is engaged to Sam Cooper! According to The Daily Mail , Cooper shocked Allen with a proposal in Bali on Christmas Day. A source tells the newspaper : “‘It all came out of the blue, but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed. They can look to the future now.” Allen went through a couple of major obstacles in 2010. She suffered through her second miscarriage and was also hospitalized with a blood condition. But things are now looking up for Lily and we wish her and Sam the very best!

Jim Toth: Engaged to Reese Witherspoon!

Reese Witherspoon will kick off 2011 as a betrothed woman. Insiders tell Us Weekly that the actress – who will soon star in Water for Elephants , previewed here – is engaged to Jim Toth, a Hollywood agent who proposed over the weekend. Simply put, “they are extremely happy,” Witherspoon’s rep says . Water for Elephants Trailer Witherspoon and Toth went public with their relationship in March. Previously, she had been married to Ryan Phillippe, with whom the star has two children. She also dated Jake Gyllenhaal for two years. We wish this couple many years of happiness!
