After years of being passed over for a promotion by the network that made her semi-famous, Mackenzie McKee is officially a member of the Teen Mom OG cast . But it looks like she may have shown up to the party a bit too late, as the show might not be long for this world. According to new reports from Radar Online and TV By the Numbers, Mackenzie has thus far proven insufficient to the task of saving the sinking ship. As we’ve reported in the past, Teen Mom OG ratings have been on the decline for quite some time. Viewership took a serious nosedive when Farrah Abraham was fired from the show back in 2017, and despite producers’ best efforts and some serious cast tinkering, they have yet to recover. It was hoped that McKee would do for the show what Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd were unable to accomplish. But according to the latest figures on Mackenzie’s debut episode, ratings are still inching in the wrong direction. The show’s June 10 season premiere brought in a respectable 990,000 viewers, but that number sank like a stone in the weeks that followed. On June 17, the show pulled in just 868,000. The next week, that number dropped to 849,000. By July 22 episode, the show was down to just 658,000 viewers, a series low. Mackenzie’s debut episode fared slightly better than that, pulling in 693,000 viewers. But the show’s numbers were still down from the week before, meaning the experiment was essentially a bust. The news no doubt comes as a surprise to producers, who figured Mackenzie was a safe bet, as she’s well-liked by fans and has no shortage of drama in her life. Mackenzie’s mother is fighting cancer , and the family’s strength in the face of adversity has gained them large followings on social media. On top of all that, Mack’s marriage has been beset by allegations of infidelity. “Before we were married, we were unfaithful to each other and lied,” McKee told a friend in her debut. “But when that happened we were fighting, nothing was rock solid. We are rock solid now. That’s why this hurts more than any time in the past. Is he 1 percent of who I think he is?” Naturally, Farrah is loving every second of the show’s slow decline, as she predicted it when she was fired. “No one is believing the fake storylines,” she said. “These other parents are super fans of the OG girls and have been fans, planned pregnancy is not what Teen Mom OG was about and now it’s okay to keep planning pregnancies to get on TV? Sad mainly for the children.” As with any statement from Farrah, only about half of that makes any sense — but she sort of has a point. And the folks at the helm of the Teen Mom franchise know firsthand how the loss of a good villain can affect a show’s viewership. In the weeks after Farrah Abraham was fired from Teen Mom OG , for example, fans rejoiced that they would no longer be subjected to her word-salad tirades and diva demands. But Teen Mom OG ratings have been plummetting since Farrah’s departure — a sure sign that sometimes, audiences need someone they can love to hate. Producers did their best to fill Farrah’s shoes, casting not one but two moms to take her place. In the end, one of them, Bristol Palin, lasted only a single season, while the other, Cheyenne Floyd, has been mostly met with indifference by fans. So when it came time to replace Jenelle, producers did not enter the decision lightly. In the end, they cast Jade Cline , another 16 & Pregnant alum. And this time, it seems producers have learned from their past mistakes and hired a mom who’s easy to work with, but who still brings plenty of drama to the table. “She’s been lovely to work with; honestly a real dream,” a production insider tells The Ashley’s Reality Roundup . “Everyone really likes her. It’s been a refreshing and nice change, actually.” Asked to describe working with Jenelle, the second source said simply, “Chaos!” “It was so touch-and-go. Alaskan Bush People is about to add yet another person to its family. Another very small person, that is, at least initially. Gabe Brown and wife Raquell Rose have announced that they’re expecting their first-ever child, breaking this very exciting piece of news to People Magazine via the statement below. We’re so thrilled to share we’re expecting a new addition to our family this November. God has blessed us in so many ways and we can’t wait to meet our little one this fall. The couple did not reveal the gender of its impending little one, but did specify that he or she is due on November 10. Brown’s famous younger sister, Rain, couldn’t help but also make her feelings known, telling this same publication of her brother, her sister-in-law and her future niece or nephew: “Gabe and Raquell are both adventurous, kind souls and I know they will be amazing parents.” We learned late last year that Gabe and Raquel were engaged . Vivica A. Fox is opening up for the first time about a memorable encounter with Farrah Abraham. It seems the actress and the reality star very nearly came to blows after Farrah's appearance on Fox's short-lived talk show Face the Truth. As you may recall, Farrah submitted to a drug test during her appearance on the show, and … we think it's safe to say she diidn't receive the results she had hoped for. Farrah tested positive for barbiturates, and it's anyone's guess as to how that's possible. We were pretty sure they stopped giving those things out around the time Elvis croaked in that gas station bathroom. Anyway, Farrah claimed the test was fake, and apparently she absolutely lost her sh-t backstage and accused Fox of setting her up. “Farrah, Farrah, Farrah,” Fox said in response to a caller's question. “She was in huge denial to be very honest with you, she was pissed at us. And she thought that we had tainted her drug test,” the actress continued. “I was like, 'Yeah so someone else went and peed in your cup and we just brought it out here.' And so, it was sad.” Meddling with drug tests isn't the sort of activity talk show hosts usually engage in, so Vivica was understandably peeved at the accusation. But as usual, no one was more pissed off than Farrah, who apparently got so pissed she attempted to get physical with Farrah. “And then she said she wanted to fight me so I was like, 'You know I trained for 'Kill Bill' right?'” Fox continued. “[Abraham] tried to knock out a water bottle and her thumb was out with the punch. So bad.” We're 100 percent Team Vivica on this one, but is she aware that Kill Bill came out 16 years ago, and she gets her ass handed to her in her only fight scene? Again, Farrah is wholly ridiculous, but so is that thing where actors think they're badass simply because they once played a badass. Just sayin'. To her credit, Fox ended things on a positive note, saying: “But you know I pray for Farrah and I hope she gets better especially because she's got a young daughter.” We all hope that — but there's really no point in wishing Farrah well.
