Cat Escapes Burning Building, Walks Away from Rubble Like a Boss

As we all know, cats have nine lives. But, as the following footage depicts, they don’t really need to use eight of them. BECAUSE CATS ARE IMMORTAL. Filmed last Thursday in Dauphin, Manitoba, this video features a black-and-white kitten that was trapped as a building was all set to collapse. The poor feline appears to be on a ledge way above the ground, yet before it can jump down to safety, the structure falls apart and the cat disappears into the rubble. RIP, kitty? Not to fast! You can hear the bystanders feeling terrible for the cat, only for them to then watch in amazement as he comes strolling away, relatively unscathed. Check it out for yourself: Cat Escapes Destroyed Building CTV News in Winnipeg reports that the cat is named Sylvester and that the little guy suffer a bit of smoke inhalation. However, he was quickly taken to the Dauphin vet clinic for overnight treatment, came out of it relatively unharmed and was reunited with his owner on Friday. Pretty incredible, huh? We’re both very impressed and somewhat scared now by cats as a whole. They could totally take over the universe if they banded together and gave it a serious effort. 37 Best Cat Photos of All Time 1. Andy Cohen Joins Tinder, Seeks Love Connection

Andy Cohen officially has joined the dating application Tinder in search of true love. Or at least whatever you’d call the stuff people say and send on Tinder. The application is a no-holds-barred service matching people pretty much choose each other solely on looks, location and perhaps a witty “about me” blurb. Based on a user’s preference, Tinder produces a bunch of “results” or people – each profile can hold up to six pictures and an “about me” – for review. Users swipe left (not interested) or right (interested); if both parties happen to have swiped right, it’s a match! If there’s a match, the two parties can chat. Kind of awesome concept for a dating app … or at least hooking up with tech-savvy hotties who happen to be nearby. It was a hit at the Olympic village . In Cohen’s case, during an interview with Larry King, the 46-year-old Bravo producer demonstrated how the app worked and even “matched” with someone. “He has a nice body,” King said. We’re sure he does … but check out some of the best Tinder messages of all time to see what nonsense Andy could be in for if he pursues him: 21 Best Tinder Messages Ever 1. Lana Del Rey Ends Engagement to Barrie-James O’Neill

Well, if you were wondering why every love song on Lana Del Rey’s new album sounds more like a funeral dirge, we may have an explanation for you: Lana got engaged to Barrie-James O’Neill earlier this year, but the gloomy chanteuse revealed in a recent interview that she and O’Neill are “currently not together.” Asked to elaborate, Lana stated, “He is a wonderful person. But there are some things with which he has to deal. I will not explain it in detail. I no longer felt free. We’ll see how it goes.” We suppose the news isn’t entirely shocking, as Del Rey’s latest album, Ultraviolence , is filled with musings about breakups and bad relationships.  Still, Lana (real name, Elizabeth Grant), seems to have adopted a carefully constructed public persona, and has even been accused of playing a character to make herself more marketable. As such, many interpreted the doom and gloom sound of her latest release as a bit of artistic license on the part of the “Young and Beautiful” (and wildly successful) songstress. While an entertainer’s personal life shouldn’t affect our opinion of their work, in light of the revelation that Lana’s engagement came to a sudden end (she hasn’t specified when the split took place), songs like ” Shades of Cool ” seem more authentically heartfelt. Lana found herself at the center of a controversy last week when she commented that she wishes she was dead during an interview with a UK newspaper. Here’s hoping Ms. Del Rey recovers from her current funk…but not so much that she can’t keep churning out bleak heartbreak ballads.  Celebrity Break-Ups of 2014 1. Naya Rivera and Big Sean Naya Rivera and Big Sean called it quits while rumors that he cheated took the celebrity gossip blogosphere by storm.
