New Music–The Voice Finalist Frenchie Davis Drops New Single [Video]

Could there be a hit on the horizon? Frenchie Davis ‘ new dance track broke out on the airwaves and we’ve got the vid for you to check out. The song was born when Frenchie teamed up with international songwriter Janice Robinson (Ashley Tisdale, Deborah Cox), who wrote the dance track with Frenchie in mind, saying only her voice could make the record come alive. Accompanied by an electrifying Mad Max-inspired video directed by Ch’an Andre and Brian Friedman (Britney Spears), the video for “Loves Got A Hold On Me” sets a perfect tone of what is to be expected from the already loved Diva, Frenchie Davis. “I feel that it’s coming together wonderfully, almost divinely. Everything is happening the way it’s supposed to,” says the songstress. With over five years of performance experience on Broadway as a cast member of Rent and the Grammy nominated revival of Ain’t Misbehavin, as well as a stint on American Idol that launched Frenchie’s amazing voice onto national television, she is making the daring move to step out on her own. Her new song and video “Love’s Got a Hold On Me” is slated to dominate the Dance World and Charts like never before. When speaking on the release of the video, Frenchie Davis said, “I want to live my life to inspire people to be brave and courageous, to believe in themselves and never take no for an answer.” We all know Frenchie can sing her azz off…what do you think of the new track? Charlie Sheen Cast in Machete Sequel

Would you vote Charlie Sheen for President of the United States? Or perhaps this is a more realistic question: Would you watch a movie in which Charlie Sheen plays the President of the United States? Director Robert Rodriguez has cast the controversial actor in that exact role for the upcoming Machete sequel, Machete Kills , posting a photo of himself and Sheen on Twitter last night along with the announcement: Machete Kills will be a follow-up to the 2010 action thriller and once again star Jessica Alba as Sartana Rivera, along with Danny Trejo as Machete Cortez. Michelle Rodriguez and Amber Heard will also play (HOT!) roles. No release date has been announced for the sequel, but production gets underway next month.

Red Light Cameras Suspended in New Jersey After Hundreds of Erroneous Tickets Mailed

New Jersey’s red light camera program has been suspended pending a widespread number of tickets issued erroneously to people going through yellow lights. That’ll do it. The newly-installed cameras, placed at busy intersections to capture speeders and red light runners in the act, result in tickets being mailed to the violators. In addition to coming as a surprise (and raising civil rights questions) among those who are unaware they’re being filmed … they’re also not accurate. In New Jersey, 63 out of 85 traffic cameras apparently weren’t calibrated correctly and not allowing sufficient time to proceed through yellow caution lights. Officials are suspending camera use for the time being, presumably to fix the lights. People who have already paid their tickets won’t get a refund, however. Officials are, however, willing to work with motorists on getting the tickets expunged from their record, according to the National Motorists Association. Cameras at the impacted intersections will continue to run and register violations but those violations will no longer be sent to motorists automatically. If the yellow light timing is found to be below the requirement on video, motorists won’t be mailed a ticket. If the minimum requirement is met, they will. Since NJDOT gave an August 1 date to get this done, that is within the 90 days allowed for a ticket to be delivered after the violation is determined.

In Girls Who F**k Girls News: Guess Which Former American Idol Contestant Is Now Living Loud And Proud As A Big Ole’ Lesbian??

No, it’s not Ryan Seacrest Songstress, Frenchie Davis has come out the closet. The “ American Idol ” and “Voice” alum has revealed to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she’s been dating a woman for the past year, though she offers no other details on the relationship. “I wasn’t out before the relationship, but I wasn’t in,” she told the publication. “I dated men and women, though lesbians weren’t feeling the bisexual thing. Now I’m in love with a woman I think I can be with forever.” The singer, who performed in Broadway’s “Rent” and toured with a production of “Dreamgirls,” also professes her love of gay men in the interview. “I love the gays,” she says. “I love the gay boys. They have that awesome, masculine energy, but there’s also something else going on as well.” It’s shaping up to be a banner year for Davis, who performs this weekend at the Chicago Pride Fest and is also working a new album, which she described as dance-oriented. “I love coming to Chicago for Pride,” Davis told GoPride, noting that she plans to perform her new single during her concert there. “I’m so excited!” Good for her! But we have to wonder, why does anyone need to make “an announcement” to others about their private life? Maybe Frenchie should take a page from the Raven Symone School of Quietly Living With Your Sexuality. Source
