Filming is underway for the new season of The Bachelorette, starring Andi Dorfman, and the men are going to have to go all out to win her heart. Andi Dorfman and her suitors were out in Santa Barbara yesterday for their third group date of the young season, which just began filming in California. They arrived at an outdoor Boyz II Men show, and took over the stage in a moment that wasn’t staged at all for the reality show. Okay, yes it was. (The Bachelorette spoiler alert again … we gotta work on that!) Two groups battled it out in a sing-off, wearing khaki blazers and blue cardigans, respectively, crooning “I’ll Make Love to You” in hopes that maybe, one day … You get the idea. Juan Pablo Galavis is responding, via his weekly blog, to the shocking exit of contestant Andi Dorfman on Monday night’s episode of ABC’s The Bachelor. While Juan Pablo told the cameras that he had a great time on all three of his overnight dates, Andi was singing a much different tune in the morning. On The Bachelor Season 18 Episode 9 , she called their date “a nightmare” and a “disaster,” accusing El Bachelor of not having feelings and being “inappropriate.” The Bachelor Clip – What’s My Religion?! Andi Dorfman called him out for talking about himself all the time, not making an effort to really know her and for always playing the “language barrier” card. It was pretty epic. Now Juan Pablo is sharing his side of the story. “Andi had a hard time adjusting to this experience because she wasn’t in control, and I understood how she felt,” Juan Pablo says following her exit. However, he’s not happy that she’s “putting words in his mouth.” Specifically, “She put words in my mouth by saying that I used the word ‘default.’” “It was because of her comments in Atlanta about wanting badly to fall in love that I almost [took] Renee instead of her, but I followed my heart and feelings instead.” “I don’t know that word much,” he said of “default.” “It’s not in my vocabulary.” Instead Juan Pablo said he was more likely to say “you barely made it here.” As for Andi claiming that Juan Pablo didn’t know anything about her? “I have to say that I know her as much as she knew me,” he said. Malia Brooks – a 32-year old teacher at Garden Grove Elementary School in Simi Valley, California – was arrested this week on charges that she conducted multiple sex act with a minor. The identity of the victim is being withheld, but he is reportedly a sixth grader under the age of 14. Brooks, meanwhile, is divorced with two children and her defense attorney has already claimed she suffers from some kind of mental illness. According to KTLA, authorities were notified of Brooks’ alleged conduct by the Simi Valley Unified School District in February. Brooks was placed on administrative leave at that time and police have been conducting and investigation ever since. She resigned from her teaching post a few days prior to her June 10 arrest and school district officials are cooperating with Simi Police in the case.
Who better to produce an Elton John biopic than…Elton John? John’s company Rocket Pictures is currently working on a movie about the artist’s life called Rocketman . But here’s the best part: Tom Hardy is the frontrunner to star. Who doesn’t want to hear Hardy with a Bane breather on, mumbling his way through Pinball Wizard ? FilmDistrict definitely does. The distribution company is near a $10 million dollar deal for the U.S. rights to Rocketman . The film will reportedly start with a young age-five Elton as a musical prodigy. According to producers, it will be a unique biopic that is heavily visual and non-linear. Lee Hall will provide the script, with Michael Gracey directing. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has a growing fan base on Tumblr apparently. Up until last week, “One Direction Infection” was a Tumblr blog created and maintained by an eighth grader devoted to the British boy band heart throbs. Now, it’s devoted to the Boston Marathon bombing suspect. Jahar, as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s friends and Twitter followers call him, has amassed a pretty huge following for a man charged with terrorism and WMD use . He has his own hashtag, #FreeJahar, on Twitter, while thousands of Tumblr and Facebook fans closely follow his case and discuss his “innocence.” Beyond the boilerplate Boston bombing conspiracy theories that claim he’s the fall guy or the whole thing is a hoax, there are other reasons for his appeal. “I do believe he is very cute, but that’s not the reason I’m involved in this movement,” the aforementioned 1D turned Free Jahar Tumblr owner told Gawker . “I am in this because I don’t believe its right to put a totally innocent person in jail for the rest of his/her life or even death penalty. I don’t care who it is, it just isn’t fair.” By any measure, #FreeJahar is a bizarre expansion of “fandom” culture – rabid communities of admirers, usually young women, that organize themselves online. Exchanging photos, fan art and writing, their near-undefinable flood of emotion and desire is palpable. In this case, it can also be political and viral. For the most part, #FreeJahar believers’ Tumblr pages are image-heavy and mock the “perception” of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as a terrorist or criminal. They are conspiratorial (“If you believe the official story regarding Boston, I don’t know what to tell you”), yet, in the majority of cases, blatantly juvenile. It’s hard to tell exactly how many people believe in Tsarnaev’s innocence, or how strongly. But there’s no doubt that the “movement” is growing fast. On Tumblr, there are a dozen or so dedicated #FreeJahar blogs, and scores of allies and sympathizers who “like” and “reblog” their posts loyally. On Twitter, Tsarnaev’s friends, many of whom have embraced #FreeJahar, have thousands of followers, while pro-Jahar Facebook pages are heavily “Liked.” It’s hard to say what possesses someone to become involved in such activity, but the Jahar loyalists aren’t alone. In double fact, it made more in three days than all the movies in theaters have made in any single weekend so far this year. In triple fact, it scored the second highest opening weekend ever ! Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Eric Church each picked up four nominations on Monday for the 2013 CMT Awards, to be held June 5 in Nashville. Fellow country veterans Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts, as well as first-time nominees Florida Georgia Line, earned three nods each. Carrie Underwood, the frontrunner at last year’s CMT Awards nominations with an impressive five (and won video of the year), has two nods this year. She is joined by Taylor Swift , Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and the rock group Journey. Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” is up for video of the year and female video of the year. She’s also up for group video and CMT performance of the year. Bryan and Church, will square off in the same four categories: video of the year, male video, collaborative video and CMT performance of the year. It will be a busy night for the newly-single Jason Aldean , who, along with his three nominations, is co-hosting the show with actress Kristen Bell. Along with Aldean, Lambert has also made celebrity gossip headlines of late, thanks to the (alleged) rough patch she and Blake Shelton have hit.
