Why Calabasas, California? That’s where Justin Bieber resides. And where Kourtney Kardashian , Travis Barker and other celebrities live. According to TMZ sources, the docu-series would center on a gated community known as “The Oaks” and the goal would be to provide fans with “an inside look at the true Calabasas life and all that it entails,” according to a letter from the producer. As you might expect, residents are not happy about the proposed intrusion into their lives and a legal battle may be brewing. The working title, meanwhile? Calabasas 91302 . The show should be sued for that uncreative idea alone.

When the sticky-fingered crew was busted Tuesday about 1 p.m. at Mermaid Ave. and W. 37th St. in Brooklyn, according to police, the safe contained a loaded Armi Fabri 9 mm pistol along with jewelry, collectible coins and mud — and sludge-covered papers

By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino The cast of Workaholics Photo: MTV News Comedy Central’s truly excellent “Workaholics” makes its fully torqued return Tuesday night (May 29), kicking off its third season with an episode that sees Blake, Adam and ‘Ders embark on a “business trip” of a different sort — namely, the kind that involves acid. As the guys explained to MTV News, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the new season, which sees them taking on tough topics, whether their fans like it or not. “We’re really tackling some hard-hitting issues with the third season,” Adam DeVine explained. “Obesity, ways to find drugs … hygiene is a real issue too.” “The fans can expect whatever they want this season, they’re not going to get it,” Anders Holm deadpanned. “We’re not going to give it to them.” As is the case for a show coming off a breakthrough second season — which saw them steal a dragon statue, terrorize a gated community and make tremendous advances in chewing tobacco on television (and was capped by DeVine’s Adam Demamp being named one of MTV’s Top 50 TV Characters of 2011 ) — the “Workaholics” plan to swing for the fences with their new season by totally changing everything you’ve come to love about the show. “We’re jumping the shark; after the fifth episode, we’re going to hire movie stars to play us,” DeVine said. “I have Matt Damon, he’s gaining 60 pounds. Wilfred Brimley is playing Kyle [Newachek’s water-trashy Kyle Hevacheck]. And we just got a really cute-looking cat to play Blake. And ‘Ders is no longer on the show at all.” That newfound clout is also evident in a pair of guest stars who will show up later this summer: none other than the Black Keys, who play “ponytailed dirtbags” and who have struck up a rather unlikely — and slightly soul-crushing — friendship with the “Workaholics” crew since filming their cameo. “We’ve just sort of stayed in touch, texting and stuff,” DeVine said. “It’s cool to see their lives. I’ll text them and be like, ‘Hey, what’s up, man?’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, just in Europe. Fifty-thousand people tonight. Pretty crazy.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, um, we shot a scene in Van Nuys today with 40 dudes my dad’s age working lights, and I had a fake erection.’ ”

Keyshawn Johnson Allowed Photographer Into Gated Community To Take Pics Of Kardashians According to TMZ reports : Keyshawn Johnson — former NFL star and current ESPN commentator — unwittingly let a freelance photographer into his gated neighborhood who got busted for spying on the Kardashians. Sources tell TMZ … Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, were shooting their reality show yesterday in The Oaks … the double-gated Calabasas community where Kourtney lives. They noticed a Dodge sedan parked near the shoot which lasted nearly 8 hours. We’re told at the end of the shoot, the Kardashian trio walked past the Dodge, when the person inside poked a camera out the window and started shooting. The girls confronted the dude, saying he was shooting in a private, gated community, and the guy began profusely apologizing. We’re told Kourtney called the cops and The Oaks community security who came a-callin’, and quickly determined the photog had a pass to get into the community by another resident — Keyshawn Johnson. Our sources say security told Kourtney that Keyshawn would be fined $1,000 for letting the guy in. We spoke to Keyshawn who says he did approve a pass for the guy — but only to make a delivery to his home. He also says he hasn’t heard anything about a fine … which, by the way, would have to be voted on by the homeowner’s association. Keyshawn says he went to Kourtney’s house later that day to apologize. Not cool Key, not cool…
George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer accused of murdering Trayvon Martin, has raised at least $200,000 online to fund his defense. Donors contributed “just over $200,000” on a website to help pay for the defense of Zimmerman, who was released on bail earlier this week, his lawyer said. Mark O’Mara added that the site, therealgeorgezimmerman (dot) com, has since been shut down for unknown reasons and Zimmerman remains in hiding. Zimmerman is living in an undisclosed location as he awaits trial on charges of second-degree murder in the February shooting death of Trayvon Martin. The killing, which took place as Martin walked unarmed through a gated community in the central Florida town of Sanford, has gained national attention. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty and says he killed Martin in self defense. In a stunning move, he apologized to Martin’s family at his bail hearing. The sensational case has prompted civil rights protests and a national debate over guns, self-defense laws, racial profiling and media bias in America. O’Mara told CNN that he would inform the judge in the case of the funds he has raised on Friday. No date has been set for his official arraignment.

Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, just picked up this new mansion in North Palm Beach, Fla., a mere 10 miles away from Woods’ own mammoth estate. Nordegren purchased the oceanfront home in a gated community eight months after finalizing her $100 million divorce from the philandering golfer. The Swedish beauty and her two kids with Tiger plan to move into the enormous home, rumored to have cost $12 million, in the next few weeks. With the super-private Woods, who actually did a few interviews this week, just down the road, Elin made good on her promise to keep their kids close.
