George Lopez Charged With Battery After Hooters Scuffle With Trump Supporter

George Lopez has officially been charged with battery after getting into a fight with an alleged Trump supporter at a New Mexico Hooters last month. Las Cruces Sun New s reports: Lopez will be receiving a criminal summons to Las Cruces Municipal Court for the misdemeanor count. He’ll either have to appear in person or hire an attorney to appear for him for his court hearing. You may recall that back in October, cell phone footage surfaced of the comedian trying to snatch the phone and grab the back of the man’s neck after he put his arms on Lopez’s shoulder and said, “MAGA,” referring to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan that has clearly targeted Mexican-Americans. Lopez hasn’t responded to the charges.

TMZ reports that the incident happened at the restaurant in New Mexico, where Lopez is currently filming the movie “Walking with Herb.” In the video you can see the man film Lopez and say, “Here comes my boy, George.” Sign Up For Our Newsletter! He was making pro-Trump comments at Lopez as well as yelling “MAGA.” Lopez had enough and when he saw him decided to do something about it. Lopez is not a fan of Donald Trump at all and has made several comments about him after he tried to insult Mexicans. TMZ reports that there were no injuries and the police weren’t called. George Lopez to Audience Member: Get the Eff Out!

George Lopez wants everyone who comes to see him perform in person to have a good time. Like, he REALLY wants them to have a good time. In video of the comedian that was posted this week on TMZ, we see Lopez turn quickly on an audience member who doesn’t respond very positively to a joke he just told. “There are only 2 rules in the Latino family: don't marry somebody black and don't park in front of our house,” Lopez cracks to the crowd, prompting mostly laughter from those in attendance. But one woman sitting pretty close to the stage actually raises her middle finger and points it in Lopez's direction. Instead of ignoring the woman and moving on, Lopez does the exact opposite. “Sit your f-cking ass down… I'm talking bitch,” he says in the footage below, continuing: “You paid to see a show, sit your ass down. You can't take a joke you're in the wrong motherf-king place. Sit your ass down or get the f-k out of here.” Lopez then makes the decision for her. “I tell you what, I'll make the choice for you. Get the f-ck out of here,” he says, as the woman is seen being escorted from her table. “Four seats just opened up front.” Did the comedian go too far? Or was the last asking for it based on her flipping Lopez the bird? WATCH AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF:

Easy there fella, put down the cerveza and grab a bottle of water George Lopez Arrested For Public Intoxication At Canadian Casino According to TMZ reports : George Lopez had one too many last night at a Canada casino — law enforcement tells TMZ, the comedian was arrested for public intoxication after passing out on the casino floor. Law enforcement sources tell us Caesars Windsor security alerted police to the Lopez situation — presumably after they found him on the floor — and officers subsequently arrested him inside the casino bar at Caesars Windsor. No charges are being filed against Lopez — we’re told he was pretty much dumped in a drunk tank to let him sober up. Lopez had performed at the casino just prior to his arrest and is scheduled to perform again tonight. Lopez has been released and we’re told he will perform tonight. What did Señor Lopez have to say for himself… “Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. George Lopez was arrested last night at casino in Canada where he had one too many … or 10 too many. He got popped for public intoxication after this: Law enforcement sources say Caesars Windsor security alerted police to the Lopez “situation,” i.e.. the comedian passed out on the casino floor. The 52-year-old was arrested inside the casino bar at the Caesars Windsor; no charges were filed after Lopez was taken to a holding area to sober up. Lopez had performed at the casino just prior to his arrest. Guess it went really well? Or really badly? Either way, he’s scheduled to perform again tonight. Lopez has been released and will perform this evening … but not before he joined this awesome collection of stars who have gotten arrested here in 2014!
