Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Poster: Revealed?

An alleged poster for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has been revealed, offering fans an early glimpse at the upcoming Michael Bay-directed film. The image, which FIRST popped up on Reddit (so you KNOW It’s real), features all four turtles in a fighting formation. Check out the purported poster below: Sadly, the poster does not show their human confidant, the sexy New York news reporter April O’Neill, undoubtedly to be played to pure perfection by Megan Fox. Leonardo (voice of Pete Ploszek) and Michelangelo (Noel Fisher) are dressed sort of normally. Donatello (Jeremy Howard) and Raphael (Alan Ritchson)? A little less so. Whoever created this poster gave Don some cool new glasses, both X-ray and regular, and Raph some cool, Oakley-style shades. The latter’s bandana also looks more maroon than red. Weird. It’s unclear if the fab four will be joined by Splinter, cruise around in a van with a huge ass TMNT logo or use ’90s phrases like “Cowabunga dude” a lot. Still no word if this poster is even legit, but for some that unquestionably are, follow the link for Movie Fanatic’s 15 best movie posters of all time .

American Idol Recap: A Dip in Salt Lake

American Idol continues to give us very little to snark about on Season 13. Last night’s two-hour stop in Salt Lake City produced 30 Golden Ticket recipients, 25 of which were given plenty of time on the air in lieu of those tired, overly produced and purposely lame auditions. The judges continued to exude charm and chemistry and the talent continued to come out in droves. What is going on here?!? Kassandra Castaneda on American Idol Dexter Roberts American Idol Audition So, which five contestants made the best impression? And could anyone match Bria Anai from last week in Georgia? These five stood out in Utah: Paisley Van Patten sang “When the Lights Go Down” and did so with subtlety and grace. She clearly oozes both confidence and talent. Dexter Roberts possesses everything it takes to win. Mostly because he’s a white guy with a guitar who sings country. But he does it awfully well. Kassandra Castaneda cracked us up by first giving Jennifer Lopez her uncle’s phone number (above) but then turned serious with a great take on Adele’s “Chasing Pavements.” Tiquila Wilson . The name is already a winner. Her pitch and her vocals then made us believe she could literally be the winner, following a rendition of “Someone Like You.” Austin Wolfe went with “Radioactive” and put his own spin on this often-played radio hit. Solid stuff.

John Goodman, Troubled Millionaire, Legally Adopts Girlfriend to Protect Assets in Wrongful Death Case

This is a new one. John Goodman, a South Florida millionaire, legally adopted his girlfriend Heather Laruso Hutchins recently (he’s 48, she’s 42). Why? Likely because he faces a devastating civil on DUI manslaughter charges, and his unusual legal move may be a means of protecting his assets legally. John Goodman was involved in a fatal car accident in Palm Beach, Fla., in February 2010 that led to the death of 23-year-old student Scott Wilson. He could face a long prison term, but it’s his weird financial maneuver that caught media attention, following his adoption of girlfriend Heather Hutchins. On March 6, he will be tried for DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide, after he allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed his Bentley into Wilson’s vehicle. He then fled the scene on foot as Wilson’s car submerged in a nearby canal. The millionaire did not call 911 for an hour, during which time Scott drowned. Many believe he could have been saved if emergency services arrived sooner. It was later determined that Goodman’s BAC was twice the legal alcohol limit, and if convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison for the crime. In case you were curious, because there is no blood relation between the two, Goodman can both sleep with and marry his new adopted “daughter.” “There is no incest. If there was it would be illegal, now it is just disgusting; they are allowed to sleep together and can get married,” said an attorney. “It does not change their personal relationship.” By way of this adoption, John Goodman has effectively gained ownership or control of at least one third of his assets, according to legal experts.

Ethan Jones Does It For Dad on American Idol

American Idol contestants really put Steven Tyler through the emotional ringer last night. First, Reis Kloeckener brought the Aerosmith frontman to tears due to his story of overcoming high school bullying. Then, Ethan Jones moved the rocker by talking about his father, who used to lead the family band until he was overcome by drugs and alcohol and is currently in a rehab facility. That’s something to which Tyler can definitely relate. But Jones has more than a gripping tale; he also has a strong voice. Watch him put it to use now during a rendition of Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be.” Ethan Jones American Idol Audition Ethan is off to Hollywood, one of 255 total Golden Ticket recipients. He’ll compete with Lauren Gray , another strong St. Louis performer, when he arrived in California.

Final Destination 5: “Great Twist You Won’t See Coming”

See the original post here:

The stakes are higher and the deaths even more gruesome in Final Destination 5 , which opens today in theaters nationwide.   In the latest installment, Death is back from holiday and out to decimate the newest group of young teenagers who dare to defy its foolproof design.  With a heart-pounding suspension bridge collapse and a jaw-dropping twist ending, first time director Steven Quale and screenwriter Eric Heisserer have given  the Final Destination mythos a much needed reboot. The Urban Daily sat down with the cast to find out out what’s it’s like working on one of Hollywood’s creepiest franchises. Screenwriter Eric Heisserer on bringing something new to the Final Destination franchise: “I wanted to bring a moral dilemna  for the characters because if they’re just waiting to die in succession, it flattens the drama.” Arlen Escarpeta on escaping “the  curse of the black guy”  in horror films: “It’s such a stigma that the black guy always dies first.  Can I be like the Barack Obama of horror films?” P.J. Byrne on suffering for “his art”: “I had to go to an actual acupuncturist before filming, so they could put needles all over my body.  The two that destroyed me were the ones that went into my ears—it was rough, but I did it for the movie.” Courtney B. Vance on joining the “Final Destination” franchise: “I’m a very big fan of Avatar and (director) Steve Quale was a part of this.  So I told him whatever I can do, I want to be a part of it.” Jacqueline Macinnes Woods on shooting the laser eye surgery scene: “We shot from 9 at night til 6 in the morning.  The eye speculum went in and out of my eye like 70 times. They numbed my eye put the speculum in, they even glued my eyelashes to my eyebrows.  At one point I was so tired but I couldn’t sleep because my eye couldn’t fully close.” Miles Fisher on his character’s trajectory from good guy to bad guy: “It was a challenge. When I read the script I thought “Ok, what would you do if in one second, hundreds of people died in front of you including your friends and work colleagues? If what happened in the film happened in real life I think some people would truly go crazy.” Ellen Wroe (a real life gymnast)  shared the worst gymnastics injury she ever witnessed: “My sister Winnie was doing a double back dismount and she over-rotated her knee, and her knee hit her cheek.  Her entire cheekbone broke in eight places; she had to get plastic surgery.  Luckily, nothing has happened to me. ” Tony Todd responding to various theories as to the true identity of his character William Bludworth: “When I started on the first Final Destination I created this whole backstory.  What is interesting (about Bludworth) is that he primarily delivers exposition.  People bring their own sense of mortality in watching.  If you think he’s the angel of death, which he’s not, or the Grim Reaper, which he’s not, that’s what you get out of it.” Nicholas D’agosto on going toe to toe with in his scenes with Tony Todd: “He’s a tall guy, he has a very imposing physical presence.  When he’s Bludworth he plants his feet and looks at you and speaks to you directly and when people do that, you’re intimidated.  When Tony looked at me I blanked out and asked “Um, can I do that again and get my lines right this time?” Emma Bell on the surprising twist to the end of Final Destination 5: “I thought it was great.  Up until that point I thought the film was really good.  The minute we got to the set to film the final scene I thought “Wait a minute!” That’s when it dawned on me.  It’s a great twist and I hope the fans will really enjoy it, because you won’t see it coming.”
