Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Married!!

The Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock said “I do” to Chris Siegfried in California yesterday, making it official with her final rose recipient from 2013! According to her rep, Desiree Hartsock wed Chris in Palos Verdes, Calif., following an 18-month engagement to the man she picked on the ABC reality hit. They currently live together in Seattle, where Des relocated to be with the former baseball player turned mortgage banker after they got engaged. Chris Tweeted the weekend before last, “So excited for the big day! @DesHartsock and I can’t wait to share with everyone! #countdown #9days #hopingforsun.” Fortunately for a wedding held in Southern California , that’s a pretty safe bet … as is the fact that Desiree would look stunning walking down the aisle. A bridal stylist by trade, “once Chris and I got engaged we started talking about the wedding right away, probably before the finale even aired,” she said. “We talked about what we would want and pieced together both of our ideas,” but in the end, “I’m most excited to walk down the aisle and see Chris.” “And then of course to get down on the dance floor with him!” Desiree and Chris faced many doubters early on after he appeared to be her distant second choice being Brooks Forester for much if not all of her season. After yesterday, Desiree officially joins Trista Sutter and Ashley Hebert in the exclusive club of Bachelorette stars to marry their final rose recipients. On The Bachelor side, Sean Lowe and Jason Mesnick recently wed their winners as well, so the franchise has been on a (relative) romantic tear lately. Congratulations, Desiree and Chris!

Desiree Hartsock "Obviously Settled" For Chris Siegfried, Her Brother Nate Says

Desiree Hartsock’s brother Nate is at it again, offering candid assessments of her love life. This time, he says his sis “settled” for fiance Chris Siegfried. Nate Hartsock famously ruffled feathers last year when Desiree appeared on The Bachelor, bluntly taking his sibling and suitor Sean Lowe to task. Now he’s turned his sights on Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried – who he admittedly likes, but was not her first choice by any stretch of the imagination. “Desiree went on the show because she wanted to get married so badly and she wanted the family and to have kids,” Nate told Life & Style magazine. “Obviously Chris wasn’t her first choice. I think it’s obvious she settled for him.” He’s not hating, though. In fact, not only has Nate signed off on this potential future brother-in-law, he thinks a wedding WILL be in their future: “Desiree is at the point where she’s ‘all in’ with Chris, and I think he is just happy he gets to be with her,” he adds, predicting they will wed within a year. “She is happy with him and with how it ended up. I think this will be a short engagement, I could see a wedding happening even quicker than next summer.” Desiree Hartsock, Chris Siegfried ET Interview Viewers expected Desiree to reject both finalists, Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney, after she was dumped by #1 pick Brooks Forester in epic fashion. But Nate called out Reality Steve and The Bachelorette spoilers on Twitter, and sure enough, she shook it off and accepted Chris’ proposal on the finale. No one saw it coming, including Nate or Des. But that doesn’t mean it won’t last, and if he says there’s a good shot, you know they’re doing well. If they weren’t, well, he’d be the dude who’d tell it to you straight. Desiree has been active on Twitter this week, expressing sadness over the passing of Gia Allemand , but joy at the fact that she moved in with Chris. The season premiere of The Bachelorette is less than two weeks away, and we can tell you for a fact that you are in for a WILD ride come May 27. Okay not really. It’s pretty standard by Bachelorette standards. While we’ve already posted The Bachelorette spoilers for the latter part of the coming season, the details of the individual episodes are still coming to light. Starting with the premiere, during which you can expect … Desiree Hartsock looking great. That was a given. Ben Scott bringing his kid. Who’s REALLY cute. Zak Waddell standing on the balcony nude. Some SERIOUS hornball creeper action. Magician Nick doing some tricks that are actually cool. Des giving out roses all night, just as Sean Lowe did. Kasey Stewart overusing hashtags. #likehardcore Juan Pablo charming and representing in a big way. A LITERAL knight in shining armor wooing Des. Gratuitous Desiree Hartsock video montages. Near constant use of the word “journey.” Lots of Chris Harrison hyperbole. Can you handle the excitement or what?!

Desiree Hartsock: Spotted With Bachelorette Camera Crew!

Desiree Hartsock is totally the next Bachelorette . The fan favorite from the current season of The Bachelor, whom many thought would win Sean Lowe’s final rose, was spotted at Santa Monica Pier this week. With a camera crew. It’s Bachelorette promo time! While nothing is official – look for the official announcement on Monday’s Bachelor season finale – Desiree Hartsock definitely feels like a good fit. Also … single, fashionable, carefree girl, hair blowing in the breeze, gazing out at the sea as if she’s waiting for the man of her dreams to come along? ABC. Ratings. Gold. “Des was smiling and was happy. She definitely seemed like she was enjoying herself,” an eyewitness to the secret-but-public shoot told E! News. A second source confirms that Des was filmed looking off into the distance, cotton candy in hand. If that’s not season premiere B-roll, we don’t know what is. The runner-up among the two finalists, Catherine Giudici and Lindsay Yenter, would also appear to be a strong candidate, but it looks like Des won out. Who will win the final rose Monday night?
