According to TMZ , the Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo, have now confirmed that the $3,500 check that Jussie wrote to them was indeed for “training and nutrition”. During their self-aggrandizing press conference, Superintendent Eddie Johnson made a big deal of the “fact” that Jussie wrote the check specifically for the staged hate crime. The bros appear to be siding with Jussie on this particular aspect and that leaves a lot of room to speculate about what else CPD has fudged in their 16 count indictment against the Empire actor. So, did the cops blatantly lie? Are the bros now covering for Jussie? Why did they take so long to address this? WHAT THE HELL IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING HERE?!?! Guess we’ll find out next time on Jussieball-Z.

After Jussie was accused of staging the hate crime, and subsequently charged with felony disorderly conduct, many public figures have spoken out about the bizarre story—including, Senator Kamala Harris.  Harris, who after finding out Smollett had been attacked hailed him as one of the “kindest” and “most gentle human beings” she knows, now says she is “disappointed.” “Like most of you, I’ve seen the reports about Jussie Smollett, and I’m sad, frustrated and disappointed. When anyone makes false claims to police, it not only diverts resources away from serious investigations but it makes it more difficult for other victims of crime to come forward,” she wrote in a statement, according to The Grio . Despite frustration with Smollett, Harris doesn’t want us to forget that hate crimes are on the rise , stating “ At the same time, we must speak the truth: hate crimes are on the rise in America. Just last year, the FBI released statistics that revealed a 17 percent increase in the number of hate crimes in America.Part of the tragedy of this situation is that it distracts from that truth, and has been seized by some who would like to dismiss and downplay the very real problems that we must address. We should not allow that. I will always condemn racism and homophobia. We must always confront hate directly, and we must always seek justice. SMH: Two Louisiana Men Arrested At Walmart For Terrorizing And Calling A Black Woman The N-Word

Source: YURI CORTEZ / Getty Men Arrested At Walmart For Terrorizing Black Customer Police have arrested two Louisiana men who “terrorized” a black woman at their local Walmart, damaging her car and using the N-word in the process. Suspects 22-year-old Dylan Reynolds and 24-year-old Michael Walters of West Monroe, were arrested Thursday after social media tipped off the West Monroe Police Department, according to the  News Star . The police had posted to Facebook security camera screenshots of the suspects laughing in the aisle of a Walmart Supercenter on November 29 and on Tuesday, Reynolds and Walters had been identified. According to an arrest warrant obtained by local TV station  KNOE , the two men stalked and “terrorized” an unnamed black shopper as she was exiting Walmart “for no apparent reason.” “While the victim was leaving the store and attempting to load her purchased items in her vehicle, she was confronted by two white males. While in the parking lot the victim was yelled at and called n*****,” read the warrant. “The female rushed the items in her vehicle and tried to escape the two white males while they were yelling racial slurs at her. As the victim fled the scene in her vehicle, one of the two white males chased after her on foot while pushing an empty shopping cart.” The warrant reads that one of the men “violently” rear-ended the victim’s car with the shopping cart, which ended up causing more than $1,000 in damages and endangering her as she tried to leave. After the incident, Reynolds and Walters sped away in a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck. These men are now being held in Ouachita Correctional Center on individual $20,000 bonds.  According to  KNOE , they’ve been charged with felony hate crimes, resulting in $5,000 fines and up to five years in prison. Walmart said the following in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle : “We want our customers to have a pleasant and safe shopping experience, and we don’t tolerate discrimination of any kind. We’ll continue to work with the West Monroe Police Department and will refer additional questions to them.”

James Fields committed first-degree murder in addition to five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of failing to stop at an accident involving a death. He’s gonna sit down for a LONG time. A nine-man seven-woman jury, which only comprised of one person of color, decided Field’s fate. His defense lawyers’ arguments on his behalf were pretty gross: Field’s defense lawyers, John Hill and Denise Lunsford and former Albemarle County commonwealth’s attorney, on the other hand, evoked a simple defense: the 21-year-old was acting out of self-defense. “You’re here to decide why this event took place,” Hill told the jury in his opening statement. “Was Mr. Fields in fear of serious bodily injury or death?” That’s right, they argued that HE, the killer, was in fear for his life. Get all the way the f**k outta here with THAT bulls#!t. According to MetroUK , two women thought it would be hilarious to record their drunk a$$es leaving bacon at the entrance to a Mosque in a town called Oldham inside Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. While it is reported that the incident was “dealt with” at the time, Dara Miah, the general secretary of Madina Mosque, is taking no chances with copycats or other crazies: ‘It’s shocking, absolutely shocking. We need to respect places of worship. It’s not what you expect. The (video footage) came to light yesterday. ‘We have reported the incident to police. The police have been very cooperative. We have advised the local community to not take any action in their hands. We have had the whole perimeter of the mosque fenced off. ‘We have got CCTV already installed. Worshippers who come to the mosque were angry. It’s very important to raise awareness, not just for our mosque but for other places of worship.’ People ain’t isht.
