Bill Clinton: Hillary 2016 Run Has Not Come Up

It’s the perennial talk of the political world, but Bill Clinton is less than decisive about the prospect of his wife, Hillary Clinton, running for president in 2016. “She hasn’t mentioned it to me,” Clinton said of the Hillary 2016 buzz when asked at the Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s 2013 Fiscal Summit in D.C. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I know this: that is the worst expenditure of our time,” he said, adding that it’s “frustrating” to be talking politics. “She’s taking a role in the foundation, she’s writing books, she’s having a little fun being a private citizen for the first time in 20 years,” Clinton said. “We need to be worried about the work at hand right now. All of us do.” “That way, whoever the next president is has an easier set of choices.” Good point, but still … since we’re on the topic: Hillary in 2016?   Gosh yes! Please run, Hill! We’ll see who else runs. Gosh, no! UGH. View Poll »

Hillary-Michelle in 2016? All-First Lady Ticket Generates Buzz

There have been presumptions that former First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will make another White House run come 2016. She leads a recent 2016 presidential poll (yes, there was one), and given her resume and name recognition at this point, that’s not a real surprise. But this is: Another, even more intriguing idea floating around the web this week is that current FLOTUS Michelle Obama could be her running mate. “All due respect for President Obama and Vice President Biden, but that would truly be a dream team,” former Clinton spokeswoman Karen Finney said. “Both women are proven leaders who’ve raised children, so dealing with Congress would be a snap!” she added, having apparently never seen Congress. Democratic strategist Chris Lehane also said that “this reflects the growing awareness that it is time for the glass ceiling of the last old boys club to be firmly shattered.” “I look forward to the day when a woman can run for the presidency without so much parody and fanfare,” ex-Al Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile said. A recent poll from Qunnipiac University found that in a hypothetical presidential race, Hillary Clinton would likely trump any Democratic challengers. “Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would start a 2016 presidential campaign with enormous advantages,” said Qunnipiac’s Peter A. Brown. “She obviously is by far the best known and her more than 20 years in the public spotlight allows her to create a very favorable impression on the American people.” As for Michelle Obama joining the ticket? We’d put the chances of that at just above microscopic, but a future run for office could be more likely. Clinton ran for U.S. Senate in the last year of husband Bill’s presidency, serving from 2001-2009 before joining the Obama administration as its top diplomat. Most likely, if she’s interested in politics at all beyond 2016, Michelle would follow that blueprint. Until then, let the speculation continue to run rampant.

Adrienne Maloof on Divorce: A Bump in the Road

Reality star Adrienne Maloof surfaced this week for the first time since her divorce and spoke briefly about her sad split from Dr. Paul Nassif . “It’s just another bump in the road,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 50, said at the L.A. launch of the OMG Phone Case at Kitson. “Just like any marriage, it has its problems. We happen to be doing that right now and it’s on a public platform,” added Maloof. If that quote sounds like one tinged with hope, maybe there is: they’ve attended counseling sessions in hopes of working out their issues. Nassif petitioned for joint custody of the couple’s three sons (Gavin, 9, and 6-year-old twins Colin and Christian) in his July 30 divorce filing. Keeping her children top of mind, Maloof says she ultimately anticipates a “positive resolution” with Nassif, 50, one way or the next. “I’m hoping for the best. Our children come first and we’ll see,” says Maloof . “My personality has always been really balanced.” “I remember where my priorities lie which is with my children. So when you have that in mind I think everything else kind of falls into place.” Describing the couple’s relationship as “volatile,” an insider says Maloof and Nassif simply grew apart over time and that no one cheated. Adrienne, Lisa Vanderpump, Taylor Armstrong , Camille Grammer, Brandi Glanville and cohorts will soon return for RHOBH Season 3. [Photo: WENN.com]

Hillary Clinton Dancing: Secretary of State Gets Down in South Africa!

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was seen dancing up a storm during a dinner on Tuesday in Johannesburg, South Africa. The woman’s got moves! On the latest leg of her 11-day African tour, the 64-year-old was cheered on by the attendees of the dinner, hosted by the South African Foreign Minister. Hillary Clinton Without Makeup: Au Naturale!

Hillary Clinton made major headlines on her trip through Asia … not just for averting a massive diplomatic crisis, but for wearing no makeup! The Secretary of State finessed a delicate situation between the U.S. and China over a blind dissident, pressed India to reduce its oil imports from the rogue Iran, and deflected the persistent rumors that she will run for president in 2016. And finally … the 64-year-old (gasp) wore very little make-up, sported glasses and had un-coiffed hair during an official event in Bangladesh: “Hillary Au Naturale” has been scrutinized after photos of her wearing glasses, loose hair and nothing but a little bit of lipstick hit the Internet. Her response? To paraphrase Rihanna: F–ks? Not given . Clinton told CNN: “I feel so relieved to be at the stage I’m at in my life right now, because if I want to wear my glasses, I’m wearing my glasses.” “If I want to pull my hair back, I’m pulling my hair back.” In the 2008 primary race, there was much chatter about her short hair and pantsuits, even her use of scrunchies, an outdated hair tie that Carrie Bradshaw Sex and the City famously mocked … back when that show was still on. Hil likes ’em because they keep her hair back neatly and out of her face, though, and she’s too busy running the entire world to care. So step off. Going makeup free is a thing now anyways. We’ve seen AnnaLynne McCord, Demi Lovato and Lady Gaga without makeup . Clinton’s just trendy.
