In her interview with Vanity Fair and in her trailer for I Am Cait , Caitlyn Jenner has an eye on the future, excitedly talking about the freedom she now enjoys as a woman. But the reality star took a moment on Friday to recognize something and someone very important from her past: Her marriage to Kris Jenner. Wouldn’t trade that time for anything!” Caitlyn Tweeted this evening. Caitlyn and Kris have clashed, indirectly, ever since the former came out on the cover of Vanity Fair this month. Kris has said she knew nothing at all about her then-husband’s yearning to be a woman… … while Caitlyn has said Kris was aware of his penchant for cross-dressing and that her “mistreatment” was largely to blame for their divorce. The Jenners got married in 1991 and separated in 2013. Their split became legal and official earlier this year. Kris has been openly supportive of Caitlyn ever since her interview with Diane Sawyer , saying on multiple occasions how proud she is of the woman formerly known as Bruce. But there’s also been talk that Kris is trying to upstage Caityn when she is honored as the ESPY Awards in July. It’s unclear who knew what when and who is telling the truth now.
