The Empire actor was walking in Chicago early Tuesday morning when two men brutally attacked him for being African-American and for being gay. The two men — both white and donning ski masks — brutally attacked the actor as he fought back — but they beat fractured a rib and left his face bloody. 4. This Was a Hate Crime They also put a rope around his neck, poured some kind of substance on him (believed to be bleach) on him and as screamed “This is MAGA country” as they left. 5. Former child actress Nicole Eggert has accused Scott Baio of sexual abuse , alleging that he molested her starting at the age of 14 when they both worked on Charles in Charge . One of the people who has backed up her story is former costar Alexander Polinsky. In Polinsky’s new statement, he levels some accusations of his own at Scott Baio. In a statement that Polinsky sent in to The Talk , he reveals: “Working on the set of Charles in Charge from age 11 to 15 was no picnic, it was a toxic environment.” Child actors are the most vulnerable people on any set. They deserve better. “I witnessed Scott Baio acting inappropriately towards Nicole Eggert during my first year of working on the show.” As Nicole has mentioned, some of Scott Baio’s alleged inappropriate behavior took place on or near the set. “I walked in on them together behind the set. Nicole was on Scott’s lap and he did not appreciate my intrusion.” That matches well with what Nicole has described. “He yelled at me and called me various homophobic slurs.” A horrible way to treat anyone, but an inexcusable way for a grown man to speak to a child. This becomes even more upsetting, however, as Polinsky then details his own accusations. “Growing up on the show I received regular verbal attacks, mental abuse, and I also suffered a physical assault at the hands of Scott Baio.” What kind of disgusting adult physically assaults a child? “There is no excuse for his behavior. It is abhorrent.” He emphasizes Scott’s age difference (Scott Baio is 11 years older than Nicole; his age gap with Alexander is even wider) “Both Nicole and I were minors. We deserved safe passage to do our jobs and also be kids.” Polinsky then lays out what he believes needs to change in order to make a safer, better world. “If we want to change the culture, we have to bring out the truth, take back control from the abusers, and make them listen to the pain of their victims.” That is true. He also has less abstract advice. “For the sake of the next generation of young artists we must empower parents and social workers to heed the signals, ask the proper questions, and protect children from monsters in the workplace.” On-site safety monitors, particularly for children, could be vital to preventing situations like this from happening in the future. And those worried about being “falsely accused” should want that, too. “The cycle of abuse must stop. Even 30 years after the acts, they still matter.” As Nicole Eggert has described in detail , Scott Baio allegedly began his sexual abuse of her when she was 14 and he was 25. He was an adult, he was a star, and he was effectively her boss. And, according to her accusations, he digitally penetrated her in the garage of his house. The alleged abuse went on about once a week until she was 17, at which point the two had sexual intercourse. From her account, Baio may have lost interest at that point. She also says that he cautioned her that if anyone found out, the show would be canceled and everyone would lose their jobs. Nicole Eggert has reported Scott Baio to police , and we note that California law does give prosecutors one year to charge him now that police have been told (despite the time delay; this law was written specifically for situations of child abuse). For his part, Scott Baio has vehemently denied Nicole Eggert’s accusations . He has claimed that he and Nicole Eggert had sex, but only after she “seduced” him at his house and only when she was 18. He has also claimed that he never saw Nicole off of the set of Charles in Charge . Baio has attacked Nicole, claiming that she cannot be believed because her story has allegedly changed over the years. It’s only been two months since Jenelle Evans welcomed her third child , but the Teen Mom 2 star is already planning her next move on the family front. Jenelle is engaged to David Eason these days, and she’s happily addressed questions about her upcoming nuptials and the unique joys and challenges of raising a blended family in a number of new interviews. Asked about her wedding planning process by MTV, Jenelle revealed that there’s some disagreement as to exactly when she and David should tie the knot: “We haven’t set a date, but we want to get married either this summer or next summer depending on how quickly we plan it,” Jenelle said last month. “I’m saying next summer, but he’s saying this summer.” As for the theme and decor, Evans had this to say: “We know we want a rustic-themed wedding, nothing too fancy. Something simple, maybe backyard and outdoorsy.” She added: “We want just close friends and family, not anything crazy.” Of course the really interesting questions surrounding Jenelle and David’s forthcoming marriage have nothing to do with mason jars and Edison light bulbs. Jenelle has three kids by three different men, and David has two children from previous relationships. On top of that, Jenelle’s mother has custody of her eldest son, Jace. All of this means there will be a lot of external input from third (and fourth, and fifth …) parties on basically every family decision that David and Jenelle make. So how does Jenelle picture the future for her blended family? Well, despite the ongoing difficulty of custody issues, she says sees everyone living under one roof without any issue. “Jace recently asked me: ‘When can I live with you again?’” Jenelle tells People magazine. “I said: ‘Well, hopefully by the summer you’ll be living here.’ But that’s all I told him – I don’t want him to know too much right now ’cause it’s really detrimental.” Asked by a fan on Twitter if Eason’s daughter will ever live with her full-time, Jenelle replied, “She already does.” She added, however, that for legal reasons, she’s not allowed to discuss custody of Eason’s son, Kaden. On Friday night, though, Mama June Shannon underwent the skin removal procedure that she thought she had wanted for so long, as part of her ongoing mission to shed many pounds. But you know what they say, don’t you? Be careful what you wish for! Shannon said goodbye to her kids on the episode in order to travel to Los Angeles for three weeks and go under the knife, with “From Not to Hot” giving viewers plenty of footage from the actual surgery. And this is where that warning about not eating comes into play… First, doctors drew on to June’s skin where they’d be making incisions… Then, it was time to get to work… Shannon was put under and placed on the operating table, with physicians slicing away at her body in order to help her lose weight . Is that too graphic of a description? Sorry. But that’s what transpired. The problem, however, is that Shannon was unhappy with the results. “My body looks like Frankenstein and I hate that I did this,” she said as her doctor removed her bandages. “At this point, I can’t imagine going through another surgery.” Weeks after this procedure, the mother of four still wasn’t feeling ready for round two, which would remove her “bat wings” and “turkey neck.” She appeared to be having second thoughts in general about her weight loss journey. Dennis Hof Claims Kardashian Family Cursed Him Lamar Odom’s tragic drug overdose that nearly cost him his life and his physical function thereafter happened only one year ago yesterday…and the owner of the brothel in which it took place suffered a tragic event of his own to mark the occasion. Dennis Hof, the owner of the Love Ranch at which Odom’s overdose took place, lost his $2 million Reno mansion when it burned to the ground on Thursday. The home lit up after a controlled government-run burn got out of control latched onto his home. As Hof told TMZ, he definitely feels like Khloe and her Kardashian sisters put some kind of hex or roots on him after Lamar’s incident. We don’t know if they’re quite THAT powerful, but that timing is definitely suspicious… He also says he’s planning to be living full time on a remote island by this time next year. Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby expressed her anger, disappointed, and also the physical threats she’s received since putting charges on all those b!t¢#azz cops. We feel you sista. We feel you. It’s disgusting that some of these cops are more concerned about the color of their uniform than the color of citizens’ blood.
