Saved by the Bell – 1-900-CRUSHED

I very much prefer the episodes before Jessie and Slater were dating, the tension between them when they don’t make out is more fun than when they make out and fight.

Dollhouse – Epitaph One

I have one question for this episode: Did I fall asleep? I’m glad I saw this, because I know that the next season is going to be tying in a bit to the futuristic parts of this episode.  But I spent the first five or so minutes thinking “did they put the right show on this disc?  do I need to call FOX and complain that they screwed mine up?”  After awhile it became clear that yes, this was indeed Dollhouse, but perhaps some people from the Terminator spilled over

The Vampire Diaries 1:1

I was really looking forward to this show, and I wouldn’t say I am disappointed, just that it maybe didn’t live up to my expectations.  To be honest, I’m not even sure what my expectations were, but I didn’t feel like I love this show from the start.

Merlin 1:6

With the exception of Nimueh, I think this is the first time we’ve seen anyone from the purging of all magic in the kingdom.  It’s kind of interesting to see the effect this ban has had on the kingdom and how it can come back to bite Uther in the ass.

Dollhouse

I did an entry (kinda) on Dollhouse when they were doing the “Save the Dollhouse” thing. Well the show has been renewed and so Joss Whedon has some more time to draw everyone in. Of course what would the Dollhouse be without the “Dolls”?

True Blood 2:12

I’m not sure that I watched an entire season of this show to have it end like this.  I don’t think it was bad, it was just maybe organized a little poorly for my taste. Maybe I’m used to a different kind of TV series, one where the season villain is really the only thing focused on in the final episode of the season.  Is this unreasonable of me?  I didn’t mind the other stuff, I guess I just felt like after all this, Mary Ann was just defeated too easily.  I honestly paused the show when she was killed and said “it’s only half over?!” I also feel a little let down by not spoilers from Rutina Wesley, the actor who plays Tara.  She said the ending was kind of bittersweet, but I don’t feel that way at all.  I mean, it’s bittersweet for her character, but at this point I don’t really feel like it is for the show.  It sucks that Eggs died, but I don’t know that we had enough time with him to really love him and be upset by his death.
