Jenelle Evans: Did She Just Get Custody of Her Oldest Son?!

Jenelle Evans is known for a lot of things. She’s known for getting arrested practically a billion times , and for her love of drugs and her willingness to throw down at literally any opportunity. But no one would know anything about any of that if she hadn’t gotten pregnant at the tender age of 16. Back then, she gave birth to a little boy she named Jace, and after struggling for a few months, she officially signed over custody to her mother, Barbara. Barbara cared for Jace while Jenelle ran off to party with her friends, and when she bounced around from terrible dude to terrible dude. When she was off getting high with her boyfriends, Barbara stepped up, and now, nearly eight years later, Jace seems to be doing well. And so it just makes sense that Jenelle would try to rip the poor kid away from the only parental figure he’s ever known to drag him off to live with her. For the past few years, Jenelle has been talking about getting Jace back — though sometimes it seems like she wants custody of him just to hurt her mother. But, believe it or not (just kidding, you’ll definitely believe it), this is the first time in years that she doesn’t have any pending charges against her. So it’s high time to get that kid, right?! After months of continuations, today was finally the big day: the day Jenelle and Barbara would go to court and a judge would offer a final ruling on the custody of poor Jace. And it sounds like it was a roller coaster of a day. First of all, Jenelle did not get custody. And thank goodness for that. According to a report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jenelle and Barb had mediation instead of the actual trial, and they were able to work out a new plan for Jace. Barb, out of the kindness of her heart, was willing to share custody, and right now that means that they’ll set up an official schedule for visitation. This will undoubtedly be a relief for both of them, as they’ve both threatened to withhold Jace from the other in the past. The plan is for everyone to try out this new plan for a while, and if it goes well, Jenelle will go back to court and attempt to get full custody. And if this isn’t dramatic enough for you, know that MTV was filming before and after the official proceedings, and Jenelle was seen crying. Look, there really isn’t any great solution with this. It would be wonderful if Jace could live with his mother and his two younger siblings and have just the best life, but Jenelle still has quite a few hot mess tendencies about her. Not to mention she lives with David Eason, who has legal troubles of his own — enough that he’s allegedly not even allowed to see his own son. It’s all just a great big tragic mess, isn’t it? Chris Cornell Funeral: Wife Pens Heartbreaking Letter Prior to Farewell

Prior to laying her husband to eternal rest, Chris Cornell’s wife wrote a public letter to her husband on Wednesday that was published by Billboard.com We’ve shared it below. But be warned: it will almost definitely make you cry. One week after the former Soundgarden and Audioslave singer killed himself  following a show in Detroit, Vicky Cornell addressed the artist directly on a moving message. “To my sweet Christopher, you were the best father, husband and son-in-law,” she wrote, adding: “Your patience, empathy and love always showed through. You had always said I saved you, that you wouldn’t be alive if it were not for me. “My heart gleamed to see you happy, living and motivated. Excited for life. Doing everything you could to give back. “We had the time of our lives in the last decade and I’m sorry, my sweet love, that I did not see what happened to you that night. I’m sorry you were alone, and I know that was not you, my sweet Christopher. “Your children know that too, so you can rest in peace.” Cornell battled a substance abuse problem for years prior to passing away. A friend recently came out and said the star was high during his final performance . As is the case with any suicide, we’ll likely never have all the answers to every question, but Vicky is determined to keep a positive memory of her husband. She concluded her open letter as follows: I’m broken, but I will stand up for you and I will take care of our beautiful babies. I will think of you every minute of every day and I will fight for you. You were right when you said we are soulmates. It has been said that paths that have crossed will cross again, and I know that you will come find me, and I will be here waiting. I love you more than anyone has ever loved anyone in the history of loving and more than anyone ever will. Always and forever, your Vicky. Cornell’s death has officially been ruled a suicide by hanging. He was cremated in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 22 and he will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Friday, May 26. The singer’s body was found in a hotel bathroom by a family friend after Vicky had not heard from him in hours. She grew concerned and asked this acquaintance to try and track Cornell down. The couple has two kids together and Vicky told TMZ the day after this tragedy that she saw no signs in the weeks preceding it that Cornell was in such a bad place. Cornell had checked into a rehab facility in 2013 and Vicky said last week she believed her husband remained clean ever since. Vicky thinks that prescription drugs may have played a part in her husband’s death. In a previous statement, the grieving mother wrote that Cornell would never intentionally hurt his family by taking his own life. “I noticed he was slurring his words; he was different. When he told me he may have taken an extra Ativan or two, I contacted security and asked that they check on him,” Vicky said at the time. “What happened is inexplicable and I am hopeful that further medical reports will provide additional details.” View Slideshow: Chris Cornell: Mourned, Remembered by Stars Everywhere The couple got married in 2004 and are the parents of daughter Toni, 12, and son Christopher, 11. Cornell is also father to 16-year-old daughter Lillian from a previous marriage. May he rest in peace.

Greg Gianforte, Candidate for Congress, Body-Slams Reporter

Greg Gianforte, a Republican running for an open congressional seat in Montana, has been charged with misdemeanor assault following a confrontation on Wednesday with a reporter for The Guardian. In the recording below, you can hear Ben Jacobs ask Gianforte about the Republican healthcare plan, which passed Congress a couple weeks ago and which will lead to 23 million American losing their insurance, according to a new non-partisan study. The bill will soon be voting on by the Senate and Jacobs wanted Gianforte to respond to the latest Congressional Budget Office analysis of the proposal. Agitated by the inquiry, Gianforte initially brushed it off and then appears to have turned violent once Jacobs continued to press for a response. “I’m sick and tired of you guys!” Gianforte can be heard saying in the following video, which includes sounds of a physical struggle and a crash. “The last time you came here you did the same thing,” Gianforte adds. “Get the hell out of here. Get the hell out of here.” “You just body-slammed me and broke my glasses,” Jacobs replies, asking for the names of the staffers present and stating he plans to call the police. A spokesperson for Gianforte does not dispute that an altercation took place. But claims the candidate was provoked. “After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined,” said Shane Scanlon, adding: “Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg’s wrist and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground.” Nowhere in the recording, however, does Gianforte request for any phone to be lowered. Moreover, members of a Fox News television crew witnessed the encounter and did not back up this account. In a statement on the Fox News website, one of the journalists described Gianforte as “punching the reporter” and, as Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, they said he started yelling something to the effect of, “I'm sick and tired of this!” To be clear , adds this Fox News statement, at no point did any of us who witnessed this assault see Jacobs show any form of physical aggression toward Gianforte, who left the area after giving statements to local sheriff's deputies. Local police said on Wednesday night it had completed its investigation and that Gianforte had been issued with a charge of misdemeanour assault. If convicted, Gianforte faces up to a $500 fine, or six months in jail, or both. Three newspapers, meanwhile, have withdrawn their endorsement of the candidate. Montana residents will vote on Thursday, May 25 to fill the U.S. House seat vacated in March by now-Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Listen to audio of this crazy incident below:
