Four-time Grand Slam tennis champ Maria Sharapova is no longer engaged to professional basketball player Sasha Vujacic, she revealed yesterday. Speaking after a third-round victory Friday, Maria was asked about the relationship and said that they’ve split up, “since the end of spring, actually.” “It was obviously a challenging decision, you know, from both of our ends.” “I was waiting for someone to actually ask me that question,” the 25-year-old Russian beauty added. “I have never really been the person to announce things.” “I never announced when we were even together or never announced we were engaged. I never have in any of my previous relationships, as well.” “It was a really nice period of time for both of us, but our career schedules just made it extremely difficult … we still have a tremendous amount of respect for each other.” Word of their engagement came in October 2010, when Vujacic proposed on the one-year anniversary of their first meeting at a friend’s barbecue. It has come down to this for Kris Humphries: The New Jersey Nets power forward, who is still engaged in a divorce battle with Kim Kardashian and who was allegedly blackmailed earlier this summer by semi-hot fling Myla Sinanaj, has denied giving Kayla Goldberg herpes. Humphries tells Gossip Cop the allegation – made public by Goldberg this week in a lawsuit filed against the professional baller – is “100 percent” false. It’s unclear whether Kris really did get it on with Kayla in 2010, as she claims, but his rep refers to the herpes accusation as “completely bogus” and adds as clearly as possible: Humphries is “100 percent sure [Kayla] did not contract [herpes] from him.” The rep also says Goldberg threatened Kris at some point in the last year with this lawsuit unless he forked over $1 million. Also worth noting, and not included in the original report? There are four other unnamed defendants in the documents who Goldberg claims may have given her the STD. Look for Humphries to be “relentless” in his fight against this suit, the rep concludes.

Yesterday, reports surfaced that Heidi Klum and Seal split and are headed for divorce court, with an official filing to come as soon as Monday morning. No separation has occurred, however, and now, a new report suggests reports of the marriage’s demise may be premature and they’re not divorcing … yet. “They’ve been fighting a lot and it’s been rough lately, but they have no plans to announce a split right now,” a source tells People . “They’re not divorcing.” According to the insider, in recent months, increased distance and time apart has tested the famously affectionate pair, who have four young children together. On tour to promote his new album, Soul 2, Seal recently flew solo to NYC to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman , then to London for commitments. Back together at their Brentwood, Calif., home on Saturday, “they seem to be doing a lot better,” the source adds. “They’re both wearing their wedding bands.” The long distance strains are likely to continue, though. Seal is due to appear this week on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Tavis Smiley , all of which tape in and around Los Angeles. Kris Humphries is getting really good at this break up thing. The New Jersey Nets power forward/E! star has called it quits with Anderson Public Relations, TMZ confirms , following disagreements between the company and the Humphries over how to best promote the latter off the court. The PR team was especially upset with how Humphries handled an appearance on Good Morning America in December, where he brushed off questions about Kim Kardashian and looked confused about why they were even being asked. He instead talked about baking with his mom. Kris’ relationship with Anderson lasted 73 days, so, hey, that’s an improvement of 24 hours for the guy! Sources say he now wants to focus solely on basketball, which ought to be welcome news for the woeful Nets. Humphries scored 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in their 84-74 loss last night to the Thunder.
