The tragic death of Lil Snupe was not an accident, police believe. Officials in Louisiana say they think a 36-year-old man shot and killed the 18-year-old rapper and Meek Mill protege during an argument earlier this week. The dispute may have come down to video games, amazingly. Police have issued a warrant for Tony Holden, a convicted felon who should be considered armed and dangerous, but have not been able to locate him. Police confirmed Lil Snupe dead early Thursday after he was shot twice in the chest. Snupe (real name Addarren Ross) was just signed to Mill’s label.
A source close to Paris Jackson’s family says that the troubled teenager may be headed to a longer-term treatment center out of state soon. Paris will stay “at least another week” at UCLA Medical Center in L.A. and then she’ll be going to a facility for additional care,” the source says . The move comes after a great deal of discussion within the family of Michael Jackson’s daughter about how best to care for Paris going forward. The teen, who has a recent history of mental health issues that include cutting, was hospitalized June 5 for taking pills and slicing herself with a knife . “This has just been so hard for Mrs. Jackson,” says the source of grandmother Katherine Jackson, who has legal co-guardianship of Paris. “She is so [worried about Paris Jackson ] and keeps saying she’s never had any experience of how to deal with someone in this situation.” The decision to move Paris to a longer-term treatment center was made by Katherine, Paris’ biological mother Debbie Rowe, and doctors. It is in part based on Katherine and Debbie’s joint fears that Paris had “fallen in with the wrong crowd” in Los Angeles, says the source. The facility will include both school and therapy, at a location where the entire family believes she will have sufficient time and space to heal. Get well soon, Paris. Paris remained in the hospital on June 16, when her siblings Prince, 16, and Blanket, 11, attended the wedding of their cousin Taj Jackson . “They were having a blast and dancing,” says the source. “But Katherine seemed sad and thoughtful. Her mind is very much on Paris.”
Chad Johnson was just kicked out of court and jailed after slapping his male lawyer’s ass and enraging the judge overseeing his probation violation hearing. During the hearing, the judge and Chad’s lawyer were about to finalize terms of Chad’s punishment – terms fairly favorable to #85, no less. But the deal fell apart in epic fashion as the judge asked Chad if he was satisfied with his representation … and he playfully slapped his attorney’s ass. The court erupted with laughter, except for the judge. She was PISSED! She lashed out at Johnson, asking him if this whole proceeding was merely a joke to him. He replied no, “because my life is in shambles right now.” It’s now even more so. The judge wasn’t satisfied with that, announced that the previous arrangement was off the table, kicked him out of court and had him jailed for contempt. His attorney tried to apologize profusely, desperately trying to convince the judge to accept the original terms of the deal, but she simply wasn’t having it. Chad, who is on probation after his head-butting of then-wife Evelyn Lozada and subsequent conviction, was sentenced to 30 DAYS in jail. Astonishing.
Is Debbie Rowe poised to become Paris Jackson’s legal guardian after all these years? If the 15-year-old wants it, and she very well might, in light of recent events, it’s likely. The custody judge in the teen’s guardianship case has ordered an investigation into her welfare after the stunning Paris Jackson suicide attempt last week. Debbie Rowe has, thus far, made no attempt to become Paris’ legal guardian. That title belongs to Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, and T.J. Jackson. T.J., Tito’s son, is Paris’ cousin. He was installed as co-guardian last summer, but all of this could change if the judge deems it in Paris’ best interest. With his own wife and kids, T.J.’s role has been marginal, according to TMZ, and Paris feels that Katherine, while loving, is not “connected” to her life. Paris and Debbie have developed an intense relationship in recent months, and the judge will no doubt weigh this factor if Paris pushes for a change. Moreover, if Paris Jackson wants Debbie Rowe as her guardian, which insiders say it’s a “likely” scenario, Debbie would gladly accept the responsibility. When Michael Jackson died in June 2009, Debbie voiced concern about the welfare of her children, Paris and Prince, but accepted Katherine as guardian. As long as the kids were protected, she has never made an effort to be involved, but things changed recently when Paris started reaching out to her. Debbie never waived her right to a guardianship, as some sources have erroneously reported, and a judge would no doubt take her overtures seriously. Not only is she her biological mother, but she’s forged a real bond with her lately. Do you think maybe this change is just what the youngster needs?
With reports of gunshots at Paris Jackson’s home yesterday, the saga following her attempted suicide just keeps getting stranger. The gunfire turned out to be a false alarm, but that isn’t easing concern from the authorities. Now, Judge Mitchell Beckloff, the man who made Katherine Jackson Paris’ guardian, has ordered an investigation into the situation. The investigator has been ordered to “prepare a written report and include therein any recommendations relating to the minor child’s health, education and welfare.” Obviously when something like this goes down you want to look into everything that may have influenced the situation. Whether Paris is not being properly cared for remains to be seen.
