Matt Lauer will get right to the point when he sits down across from Kim Kardashian on Monday. During a Today Show interview, the anchor touched on the topic of the upcoming Kim Kardashian selfie book and asked point blank: What does it say about someone who snaps so many pictures of herself?!? Kim Kardashian on Today Asks Lauer specifically of Kardashians: “If you take such a large percentage of pictures of yourself, it does open this whole line of questioning as to, ‘Are you self-obsessed? Are you an incredibly vain person and have you always been that way?” We all know the actual answer to that question, but here is what Kim had to say: “I can understand how someone would say that you must be really vain if you’re taking selfies all day long or wanting photos of yourself.” So, what’s the positive spin on these self-portraits? “To me, it’s just really about capturing a memory,” Kim says. “Is it a little ridiculous? Is it vain? Yes, but it’s fun and you get to capture al of these memories at the same time.” This isn’t the first time Kardashian has admitted that selfies are ridiculous . But not as ridiculous as the fact that folks are gonna actually go out and buy her book when it comes out on May 5. Lauer also notes the abundance of Kim Kardashian nude pics in “Selfish,” telling his subject she’s “naked a lot” in the book. “Not too naked,” Kim smiles in response.
