Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson: Secretly Married!!!

To say it’s been a big year for Michael Phelps would be an understatement on par with saying Ryan Lochte made a bit of a mistake in Rio. In May, Phelps welcomed his first child , a son named Boomer. In August, the fastest swimmer on the planet dominated in his fifth Olympic outing and gifted us with the glorious #PhelpsFace meme. Now, Phelps has reportedly capped off his epic 2016 by tying the knot with his fiance, former beauty pageant contestant Nicole Johnson. Actually, it seems we should rearrange that timeline. TMZ is reporting that Nick and Phelps got married in a small private ceremony in Maricopa, Arizona back on June 13. The news broke today when TMZ reported that the couple had been issued a marriage license on June 9. Shortly thereafter, Phelps’ agent and longtime friend Peter Carlisle confirmed that Phelps and Johnson had indeed made it official. Little is known about the ceremony, other than that it was a closely-guarded affair, attended only by family and a small group of close friends. Judging from the pic Johnson posted the night of the ceremony, the newlyweds decided to make it a casual evening: “Such a memorable night with my lil fambam,” Johnson captioned the image. “Boomer obviously didn’t want to hold still.” Hey, you can’t expect a guy who wears Lycra to the office to put on a tux for his wedding, right? Phelps and Johnson got engaged when he popped the question back in February. Just three months later, they welcomed lil Boomer into the world. Naturally, Nicole and Boomer were on hand to watch Phelps scoop up his 23rd  gold medal at the Rio games. Though they’d been married for over two months at that point, Nicole handled questions about the couple’s future wedding plans like a seasoned media pro. “Now we get to have fun,” Nicole said when asked about Phelps’ retirement. “We get to enjoy parts of life that everybody gets to on a daily basis that we had to step away from so Michael could go and do what he needed to do.” Pressed about the wedding, she added: View Slideshow: Nicole Johnson: 19 Photos of Michael Phelps’ Fiancee! “It’ll be small and intimate for the wedding, and then we’re throwing a massive bash for everyone in the states. “I’ve been planning as we’ve been leading up to this, so I think I have the wedding in order and now it’s on to the party for the fun.” It’s good that she’s do adept at handling public intrusions into her private life, as the media’s interest in one of America’s favorite athletes is unlikely to die down anytime soon. Caitlyn Jenner Confirms Cancelation of I Am Cait

The many rumors have turned into an undeniable reality: I Am Cait will not be coming back for a third season. There’s been talk of E! canceling the reality series for some time now, but that talk has never emanated from any producers on the series of from Caitlyn herself. Until now. A short while ago, Jenner confirmed the news on Twitter. “After 2 amazing seasons of @IAmCait, it’s time for the next adventure. Thank you E! & thank you to the best girlfriends I could ask for,” she wrote. Here you go. In case you don’t believe us. I Am Cait debuted in July of 2015. It was announced by the step-father of Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian not long after she sat down for a special interview with Diane Sawyer in April of that year. It was during this interview that Caitlyn came out as Caitlyn, detailing to Sawyer (and a massive audience) her struggle to live life as her true self. I Am Cait received a rebuke from some critics that saw the show as an example of Caitlyn simply exploiting her new transgender lifestyle for money and fame. But it tackled some legitimate issues, bringing various LGBT problems to the forefront for the first time on national television. It was also very popular, with the premiere drawing 2.7 million viewers and a 1.2 demographic rating, on par with Keeping Up With the Kardashians  numbers. By the time I Am Season 2 came around in March, viewership had dropped off considerably; a mere 745,000 viewers tuned in for the first episode of what we can now confirm was the final season. But that doesn’t mean the show as a failure. Not by a long shot. It turned Caitlyn into a household name and it has opened up a number of opportunities not just for her, but for transgender individuals around the country. She has also found other outlets through which she can get across her message. Just this month, for instance, Caitlyn was a guest on HBO’s Any Given Wednesday. The statement concluded: “Caitlyn and E! have mutually decided not to move forward with another season at this time. “She will always remain a part of the E! family, and we look forward to continue following her journey as she appears on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” So… what will be Caitlyn Jenner’s next adventure? Michael Phelps may have racked up an astonishing 28 Olympic medals over the course of his record-breaking career, but according to a woman who knew him for about a week two years, its Phelps fiancee who’s really going for the gold. If you caught any of Phelps’ impressive performances in the pool at Rio, you’re probably aware that he got engaged to Nicole Johnson in February of last year. Phelps and Johnson welcomed their first son , Boomer, in May and the two of them were right next to the swimmer’s beaming mother in the grandstands, as well as at every post-race interview during his historic fifth trip to the Olympics. Over the years, Americans watched Phelps mature from a gifted wunderkind in Athens to a still-dominant legend of his sport in Rio. It’s hard to imagine a happier ending to such an incredible story than to see a boy wonder-turned-man of the hour joined by his overjoyed fiancee and adorable young son as he caps off one of the great careers in sports. But as the great philosopher Taylor Swift reminded us every time we turned on the radio last summer, “Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.” Enter Taylor Lianne Chandler, a woman who hooked up with Phelps back in 2014 and has devoted her life to riding his coattails ever since. Chandler’s efforts to cash in on her fling with Phelps ranged from tweeting a photo of his penis to increase her social media following to starring in an Olympic-themed por n (seriously). Ever since Phelps announced his retirement, Chandler seems to have realized that she’s at the 14:59 mark of her 15 minutes of fame, and she’s ramped up her attacks on the Olympian and his family in a last-ditch effort to make a name for herself. Just today, she claimed that Phelps hired a gay male escort after he got engaged to Johnson. Oh, and for good measure she threw in that Phelps never wanted kids, another thing she has no possible way of knowing. You stay classy, Ms. Chandler. Or just delete your account. Before he got engaged to Nicole Johnson , Michael Phelps was involved in a brief but tumultuous relationship with Taylor Lianne Chandler. The Olympic great has never acknowledged this publicly, but it is believed they were together up until the night of his 2014 DUI arrest. Since then, TLC has been a recurring fixture in gossip circles, lamenting her 15 minutes of fame and trying to cash in at the same time. It's a fine line to walk, but she does it so well. Here are some texts allegedly between Chandler and Phelps that will make you wonder what might have been for the star-crossed duo: 1. By know, most of us know Boomer Phelps as that adorable little chunker who snoozed through most of his dad’s Olympic races. Boomer is just over three months old, and has replaced Kate Middleton as the most popular celebrity at any Olympic Games ever.  Last night, Boomer got decked out to watch dad Michael Phelps go for the gold once again, one upping his outfit game from the night before when dad won his 20th and 21st Olympic gold medals. “Wait to go daddy!!!” the caption for the photo read, earning over 76,000 likes and a slew of positive comments. Boomer has has own verified Instagram account, with over 277,000. The Olympic swimmer did prep everyone for Boomer’s sartorial splendor. “He’s going to have some cool outfits on, that’s for sure. Prince: Public Memorial Service Being Planned, Says Family

Prince’s family has announced that they are planning a public memorial service to honor the late singer. The memorial will be open to fans, and while details have not been released, it will take place some time in the near future. Their statement reads: “We would like everyone to know that, contrary to previous and current reports, there has been no memorial, funeral or tribute service for Prince that was organized or authorized by the family or Paisley Park representatives.  “Together, the family is planning an official memorial service and public event to take place in the near future. “Prince and his music influenced so many people that we feel inspired to celebrate his life and legacy in just the right way. “We appreciate the public’s patience and have been comforted by your outpouring of love, support and condolences. “We look forward to sharing with the world this celebration of, and farewell to, our Prince.” View Slideshow: Prince: Remembering the Music Legend’s Life In Photos Prince was found dead last month in his Paisley Park residence near Minneapolis. He was just 57 years old. While a cause of death is still unknown, fans and officials suspect drugs may have played a role. The singer was said to have been taking the painkiller Percoset to relieve discomfort in his hips, and the drug was in his system at the time of his death . A report also claims that the music legend had  sought out an outpatient treatment program to try and move away from taking the drugs. None of this serves as confirmation that Prince died of an overdose or that drugs were related, but provides insight as to what may have led to his death. Because the legendary swimmer has shared a photo of his first-ever child! Phelps and fiancee Nicole Johnson welcomed a baby boy into the world on Friday night, with Phelps confirming the news via the Instagram photo above and the affiliated message below: Welcome Boomer Robert Phelps into the world!!! He plans to compete in the Rio Olympics and hopes to add to his record medal count. “I feel like I am okay and happy with who I am,” Phelps recently told the Associated Press. “I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself, who I truly am.
