Move over, Kim Kardashian . Your ex is also about to make a splash on the small screen. Only instead of getting naked and taking it from Ray J, Kris Humphries will be making a guest-starring appearance on an episode of The Mindy Project Season 2. According to TV Guide, the Boston Celtics power forward will play himself. It’s unclear what brings The Hump into Mindy’s world, although the sitcom’s title character does often reference television and pop culture. Last year, fellow NBA players Amar’e Stoudemire and Danny Granger also stopped by the series, showing up at a club Mindy and her colleagues frequented. This gig will mark Humphries’ first acting role, though many believe he was merely reading from a script every time he appeared on camera during his courtship of Kim. Kardashian, meanwhile, has appeared on Drop Dead Diva and How I Met Your Mother and also helps anchor the legendary Ray J sex tape .

The big hang-up is that Kris has been fighting for an annulment based on alleged fraud, and Kim has steadfastly refused to go down that road. She wants a clean, simple divorce. Sources close to Kris say there are various factors that are softening his position, including: There’s an ironclad prenup, if the case goes to trial Kris will get NO money from Kim (although as we previously reported Kris has demanded $7 mil from her — good luck with that). After all the depositions and legal docs flying back and forth, no evidence has surfaced showing Kim defrauded Kris — and that goes to the heart of his claim. Kris is about to get nailed with monetary sanctions for being a no-show at the last hearing and, in the process, he’s pissed off the judge who would be presiding over the divorce trial. If the case goes to trial and Kris loses, he could be in the hole for as much as a million bucks in attorney’s fees. Sources tell us each side has already racked up $300k in lawyer’s fees, and they’ll spend another $200k if the case goes to trial. We broke the story, if the case goes to trial and Kim wins, she’ll ask the judge to make Kris pay HER lawyer’s fees. Bobby Brown is already a free man. He’s out of jail, already. So much for that 55-day sentence … guy didn’t even last 55 hours in there, or even close. Despite turning himself in to jail for his third DUI conviction (and second in just seventh months), he just served a grand total of NINE HOURS in jail. He checked in at 9:58 a.m. Wednesday and was out by 6:58 p.m. An L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesperson said Brown would likely serve nine days of his 55-day sentence, but due to jail overcrowding , this is what happens. Days … hours … who’s counting, right? Brown is on four years probation and has to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months. If he screws up, back to jail he goes … for a few hours. On the plus side, it’s clear that the legal system is not just a joke when it comes to Lindsay Lohan never serving any sort of actual punishment. On the down side, it’s a joke in general.

Kardashian testified that her family’s E! series played NO role in her decision to exchange vows with the Nets power forward. Reportedly, Humphries’ attorney did not press very much on the issue of Keeping Up with the Kardashian s, despite an oath from its producer this month that various segments related to Kim and Kris were staged . Perhaps the lawyer was aware that the staging and re-creating of these scenes simply proves that his client was in on the scripted nonsense all along. A hearing is set for May 6, where Kim hopes a divorce is granted, while Humphries and his legal team are still hoping for an annulment. On what ground? No one really knows.
