Kanye West Gets Rid of Phone, Needs More Air "To Create"

While it’s a fantastic idea to unplug from our mobile devices, not many of us tweet it out thinking others will care. Unless your name is Kanye West. In order for him to reach his true artistic potential, West has announced that he’s parting ways with his phone. “I got rid of my phone so I can have air to create,” he tweeted on September 14th. It’s never not a weird time for West to get rid of a phone, and he might not have any particular reason for getting rid of it now, However, perhaps the criticism from his Yeezy Season 4 show prompted West to put the phone down.   Permanently. It wasn’t a total wash, though.  Without a phone he wouldn’t have been able to antagonize his future wife over her romantic choices. West said that the first time he got a phone was in 2011, when he learned that his longtime crush was marrying Kris Humphries (the couple wed in August, but separated 72 days later). “I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries,” West joked on an episode of Kocktails with Khloe back in April. “I wasn’t up to anything, and I looked on the internet, and there was Kim Kardashian with some extremely tall person, and I was like, ‘I need to call her or something.’” Oddly enough, this relinquishing of the phone could have proved useful to West during his Twitter rants back in February. “Pitchfork, the album is a 30 out of 10,” West tweeted in response to the outlet rating his album, The Life of Pablo . More! “To Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times, and any other white publication. Please do not comment on black music anymore.” Aaaaand this. “I love love love white people but you don’t understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex slaves and make it this far.” The latest rant from Kanye?  More of a response to Kid Cudi than a rant, but it was highly entertaining to watch. Kanye West BLASTS Kid Cudi: Respect the God! So, now that West is without a phone, will he be using pay phones? Rotary phones?  Land lines with cords?! Jon Gosselin Reportedly Leaves Trashed Home Strewn With Garbage, Abandoned Kitten After Eviction

Jon Gosselin’s former landlord is speaking out in the aftermath of his recent eviction, and suffice it to say, she does not paint a positive picture of the man. Linda Eways, who evicted Jon Gosselin from her house in Wernersville, Pa., says she paid a surprise visit to the property after she thought he’d moved out. And he had … for the most part. He certainly left his mark on the place. Not only did the father of eight leave the house trashed, strewn with garbage and debris with walls and doors damaged from Jon’s dog, he left something behind: A kitten. Yes, the landlord says she discovered a tiny cat abandoned there. Eways says she called Jon to ask about the kitten and he admitted as much. Well, specifically, he said his ex-girlfriend Liz Jannetta (the one he appeared on Couples Therapy with, apparently without a lot of success) left it there. According to earlier reports, Jon’s ex moved out in September, so the kitty was there for at least a few weeks with just Jon if our calendar is correct. Eways says the sight of the poor kitten “broke [her] heart” so she decided to adopt it. In that sense, at least the animal has a loving home now. But wow, Jon. We know times are tough, and being married to Kate Gosselin must have caused him major psychological damage … but come ON. What would his kids think? What does anyone with a beating hard think? 13 Couples Who Fell Apart on Reality Television 1. Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian The marriage between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian lasted 72 days. Pretty much every second of it took place on reality TV. Star reached out to Jon, who claims what the landlord says “isn’t completely true,” but wouldn’t elaborate. So that totally makes us view him more favorably. Meanwhile, speaking of Kate, she’s having a yard sale soon and says that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to her local animal rescue league. We can’t believe we’re saying this, but #TeamKate. Too bad the animal rescue group find a way to relocate Jon from himself. Clearly he needs it. Also he needs a home BTW. Being broke and getting evicted and all.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez weren’t simply spotted at a Texas Starbucks late last week. According to TMZ sources, the former couple also stopped by Action Dance Studio on Friday afternoon and enjoyed a two-hour private rehearsal with a choreographer. Might they be planning some sort of collaboration? Might the Internet literally explode if this comes to fruition? Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez in Texas! A security guard stood watch in front of the main door while Selena and Justin grooved inside, with the owner of the facility saying the stars seemed ” really close and into each other .” Selena was in Texas for a stop on her latest tour, while it seems Bieber flew in just to spend time with his ex-girlfriend. Mean Girls Reunion: Coming in 2014!

Those who saw Lindsay Lohan on the Tonight Show the other night may have heard her talk of a Mean Girls reunion, and amazingly, she wasn’t full of crap. This year is the 10th anniversary of the film’s release, and writer Tina Fey (maybe you’ve heard of her) has been pushing for a reunion event of some kind. Mean Girls Cast Then & Now: Cautionary Tale To commemorate the occasion, she’s been wrangling the entire Mean Girls cast over the last month to put something together, and LiLo was the last to know. She told Jimmy Fallon that she’d just run into Tina recently, and that the reunion idea came up. Lohan, whose career apex was probably that film, is up for it! It’s not at all clear what the Mean Girls reunion will consist of, but an awards show sketch seems like a likely option – perhaps April’s MTV Movie Awards? Also, October 3 is National Mean Girls day – basically an occasion invented to link to Mean Girls quotes all over the web – so that’s another good possibility. Besides LiLo and Tina, Amy Poehler, Jonathan Bennett Rajiv Surendra and Daniel Franzese are also in, according to a TMZ report late last week. Pretty great. Now go watch Mean Girls online and tell us when and how you’d like to see the whole gang get back together on this 10-year anniversary.

Gotta use your big head sometimes… New York Man Falls To His Death After Sex Proposition And Robbery On Rooftop Via NYDailyNews A 50-year-old Brooklyn man who fell to his death from atop a four-story building was lured onto the roof by two women who had promised him sex, police sources said Thursday. Instead of showing Robert Reichl a good time, the women led him into a trap shortly after midnight on Wednesday — and stole $2,000 in cash he had been carrying. Three toughs were waiting on the roof of the building on Fourth Ave. near 47th St. in Sunset Park, the sources said, and at some point the men attacked Reichl. One of them, Ruben Santiago, sprayed Reichl in the face with a chemical spray believed to be mace that caused the victim to reel back, lose his balance and fall off the rooftop, the source said. Reichl, a Bay Ridge resident, landed in the rear courtyard of the building, where he died. Police have arrested three people in connection with Reichl’s death — Santiago, 23, Glennys Reyes, 23, and Randy Ortiz, 24, according to the sources. Reyes was one of the two women who set up Reichl, and Ortiz was one of the two men with Santiago on the rooftop, the sources said. Investigators are still hunting for the second woman and the third man. Detectives believe the five were acting in concert and split the money afterward, one police source said. Tsk Tsk. Kris “Humpback” Humphries is still holding on for that doe. Can you say “thirsty.” Time to let it go buddy. Move on. Kim Kardashian Divorce To End Soon According to TMZ Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries could settle their never-ending divorce case soon … TMZ has learned. The fleeting lovebirds are both ordered to appear in court soon for a settlement conference. The big hang-up is that Kris has been fighting for an annulment based on alleged fraud, and Kim has steadfastly refused to go down that road. She wants a clean, simple divorce. Sources close to Kris say there are various factors that are softening his position, including: There’s an ironclad prenup, if the case goes to trial Kris will get NO money from Kim (although as we previously reported Kris has demanded $7 mil from her — good luck with that). After all the depositions and legal docs flying back and forth, no evidence has surfaced showing Kim defrauded Kris — and that goes to the heart of his claim. Kris is about to get nailed with monetary sanctions for being a no-show at the last hearing and, in the process, he’s pissed off the judge who would be presiding over the divorce trial. If the case goes to trial and Kris loses, he could be in the hole for as much as a million bucks in attorney’s fees. Sources tell us each side has already racked up $300k in lawyer’s fees, and they’ll spend another $200k if the case goes to trial. We broke the story, if the case goes to trial and Kim wins, she’ll ask the judge to make Kris pay HER lawyer’s fees. Our sources say it’s by no means a done deal that the case is going to settle tomorrow, but as one source put it, “Kris is opening his eyes a little bit, and what he sees doesn’t look good.” Do you think Kris will get the mula?
