Shook Ones: Martin Bashir Resigns From MSNBC After Saying Someone Should Sh*t In Sarah Palin’s Mouth

Martin, you got to watch what you say. Martin Bashir Resigns From MSNBC Before Martin told someone to take an isht in Sarah Palin’s mouth, he should have been warned to watch his. According to Mediaite: Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s**t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced in a statement Wednesday afternoon that he will be stepping down. Here’s the statement: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the President of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation. It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments. I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences. I would also wish to express deepest gratitude to my immediate colleagues, and our contributors, all of whom have given so much of themselves to our broadcast.’ MSNBC released Bashir’s statement, plus the following statement from MSNBC President Phil Griffin:“Martin Bashir resigned today, effective immediately. I understand his decision and I thank him for three great years with msnbc. Martin is a good man and respected colleague – we wish him only the best.” Maybe his comments were a little too much, but something needs to be done. The woman’s elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top.

MSNBC Host Martin Bashir Says Obama Critics Using IRS As A Weapon Against The Black Man In The White House – “IRS Is The New N-Word” [Video]

MSNBC Host: “IRS Is The New N-Word” IRS = “The N-Word” now for the conservatives bashing Barack Obama, according to MSNBC host Martin Bashir… Via Washington Times: MSNBC host Martin Bashir accused President Obama’s critics, who have begun focusing their efforts on the IRS scandal, of using the agency “as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House.” In his closing remarks on Wednesday, Mr. Bashir compared this week’s IRS hearings to demands by people on the right for the president’s birth certificate back in 2010. “And now, the IRS is being used in exactly the same way as they tried to use the president’s birth certificate,” he said. “Despite the complete lack of any evidence linking the president to the targeting of tea party groups, Republicans are using it as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House.” The liberal host then cited a quote by the late Republican political consultant Lee Atwater. “You start out in 1954 by saying, ‘N*****, n*****, n*****,’” Atwater said during an interview in 1981. “By 1968 you can’t say ‘n*****’—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “N*****, n*****.” “So, this afternoon,” Mr. Bashir concluded, “we welcome the latest phrase in the lexicon of Republican attacks on this president — the IRS. Three letters that sound so innocent, but we know what you mean.” Peep the video below and discuss… Youtube Continue reading

Diddy Doesn’t Want To Talk About B.I.G.’s Murder Anymore

‘It was in the past, and I’ve talked about it so much,’ hip-hop mogul says on ‘Nightline.’ By Jayson Rodriguez Diddy Photo: Statia Photography/ Getty Images Diddy appeared on ABC News’ “Nightline” on Thursday night and spoke to Martin Bashir about his Last Train to Paris album, his role in the movie “Get Him to the Greek” and his various other business ventures. But what Bashir really wanted the Bad Boy Records CEO to discuss was the murders of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. And though Diddy did talk about Biggie’s last day at a Paris press conference on Thursday, he told Bashir that he had talked about that topic enough in the past. “I decided that it was something that I just wasn’t really gonna be talking about anymore,” Diddy told the probing host about Biggie’s death. “It was in the past, and I’ve talked about it so much. I love him, I miss him, and he’s one of my best friends. It was a tragic loss.” Bashir, who has a reputation for aggressive questioning, continued to ask the superstar if he had any information on the two deaths that rocked the hip-hop world over a decade ago. “No, No idea.” Diddy said. “I feel the loss of my friend. … I feel the loss of Tupac.” Later in the interview, Bashir discussed the birthday bash Diddy threw for his son early this year that was featured on an episode of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.” The mogul defended his decision to give his son a Maybach car valued at over $400,000. In regards to fatherhood, Diddy called it both his greatest joy and his biggest challenge. “I definitely enjoy the responsibility of fatherhood,” explained the father of six. “It’s probably one of the things I can honestly I’m not the most successful at. I feel that my kids deserve more personal time from me. ” What did you think about Diddy’s interview? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Diddy Notorious B.I.G.
