The Obamas paid $8.1 million to buy the mansion in a neighborhood called Kalorama. They have been renting the property since January, Yahoo news reported . A little fun fact about the eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bath home– it’s in the same neighborhood as the home of President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner. There’s no telling if the Obama’s will likely retire in the area, but they will be around for at least another year and change, according to what their spokesman tells Yahoo. “Given that President and Mrs. Obama will be in Washington for at least another two and a half years, it made sense for them to buy a home rather than continuing to rent property.”

Based on a new AP report, it might not be a rumor… Workers at a Coca-Cola factory in southern France opened a shipment of orange juice but found a huge shipment of cocaine instead. The Coca-Cola factory in the town of Signes, near the Mediterranean coast, produces concentrates for various drinks. A spokesman for Coca-Cola France says employees immediately notified police and judicial authorities have opened an investigation. Sacks containing 370 kilograms (815 pounds) of cocaine were hidden in a shipping container holding orange juice from Costa Rica, the spokesman said. The Marseille prosecutor’s office said Wednesday it opened an investigation into trafficking and importing illegal drugs. He will stay in police custody until at least Friday, when he is given a formal bail hearing, South Africa’s Star newspaper reported. Police said Mandela sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl Friday while dining at a popular Johannesburg restaurant. The teenage girl was having dinner with some friends when she excused herself to go to the bathroom, her family’s spokesman told the Daily Sun. Mandela allegedly attacked her inside. “He grabbed her and raped her inside one of the toilets,” the spokesman said. We can only hope this isn’t true, but if it is…SMH.

Ferguson Spokesman Suspended For Calling Mike Brown A Pile Of Trash Via The Grio reports: The Ferguson Police Department has suspended a spokesman after he referred to the Michael Brown memorial as “a pile of trash.” A statement the city provided to The Associated Press on Sunday didn’t identify the officer who made the remark to The Washington Post. The newspaper attributed the comment to Officer Tim Zoll. The memorial at the site of Brown’s death was damaged last week after a car apparently hit it. Zoll doesn’t have a listed number and couldn’t be reached by the AP. The city says the spokesman denied making the comment, but later admitted that he’d misled his bosses. He has been placed on unpaid leave while “disciplinary proceedings” begin. Oh no! Muhammad Ali Has Pneumonia Reps for Muhammad Ali have confirmed that the boxing legend is currently in the hospital with pneumonia. CNN reports: Famed boxer Muhammad Ali was admitted to an undisclosed hospital Saturday with pneumonia, his spokesman Bob Gunnell said. Ali’s treatment prognosis is good, he said. “Ali, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, is being treated by his team of doctors and is in stable condition,” Gunnell said in a statement. “At this time, the Muhammad Ali family respectfully requests privacy,” the statement said. Ali was born Cassius Clay and won an Olympic gold medal as a light-heavyweight at age 18. In 1964, he became world heavyweight champion in an upset victory against then champion Sonny Liston, according to Ali’s official website. Luckily he’s in stable condition. Will Ritter, the spokesman for a Massachusetts Senate candidate, said that he heard what sounded like two explosions and saw smoke rising near the Boston Public Library. He said that he saw three fire engines and police running to the site. Ritter said that people hit the ground. Janet Wu, a reporter for NBC affiliate WHDH, told NBC News that she heard two loud explosions. Boston police confirmed there was an incident but did not immediately give details. An 11-year-old Utah boy brought a gun to school to protect himself from a Newtown-style attack, then showed the pistol to classmates during recess, according to reports. He was detained on assault and weapons charges, a school spokesman said. 11-Year-Old Brings Gun To School The boy, a sixth-grader, took the unloaded .22-caliber handgun to his school south of Salt Lake City in his backpack on Monday, the spokesman added. Some ammunition was also found in the 11-year-old’s backpack, but it did not appear to go with the gun, according the spokesman, Ben Horsley. No one was injured in the incident, which occurred as jittery parents, teachers and students around the country faced their week at school since Friday’s massacre. Twenty children and six adult staffers at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, were shot to death then by a lone gunman, Adam Lanza . One 11-year-old Utah boy says he feared a similar attack. The West Kearns Elementary student insisted he brought the gun to school to “protect himself and his friends from a Connecticut-style incident,” Horsley said. He is accused of waving the gun at three classmates during recess, however. One of those students and a second classmate alerted their teacher, who “immediately took the student into custody and took him down to the principal’s office,” Horsley said. After being briefly questioned, the boy (who has not been publicly identified) admitted bringing the gun to school, and the weapon was recovered minutes later. Some parents questioned the decision not to initiate a security “lockdown,” but school administrators reasoned that it made no sense to risk alarming students. The boy was booked into a local juvenile detention center on one count of possession of a deadly weapon on school property and three counts of aggravated assault. He was also suspended from school indefinitely. Horsley described the boy’s parents as shocked and cooperative; police found the gun belonged to a relative who has been living temporarily with the family. He said the community was “rightfully” shaken by the incident. “Because of the tragic shooting in Connecticut , people’s emotions with respect to children’s safety is right at the surface, and we’re just as concerned as the parents.”

However, “This book will not be a tell-all,” a source stressed.
